I love SNES-sounding music, which is why I ended up subscribing :D This doesn't disappoint! I'm curious how it'd sound without the vocals, either with sounds mimicking the vocals or just not at all.
Heh, I remember beating Safer Sephiroth on the first try. The party I used was the same as depicted in this vid save for Red-XIII in place of Tifa. And to think, I used Knights of the Round on Bizarro Sephiroth. It was a bit of a slog, but I managed. To this day, I have never lost to a final boss I reached in a Final Fantasy game except for the Chronicles version of Zeromus FF4 or Cloud of Darkness in FF3 DS. I was a bit underleveled for the former and didn't know about the tentacles going blindly for the latter. Chaos? Emperor? Neo-Exdeath? Necron? Braska's Final Aeon? Kefka? Ultimecia? Orphan? Square-Enix could do better than that...
There's many ways to do this, the most popular ones being: emulating SNES sound via soundonts/VSTs in MIDI DAWs (non-direct hardware compatible file) and creating a .SPC file by hacking roms via MML music scripting (direct hardware compatible file).
Prolly theres many apps around to help, but I don't know exactly since I never extracted any music directly from a game myself since there are many extracted OSTs in Zophar Domain in their native file formats.

@@Nugem but I assume you have to have the original file for the music because you're modifying that right

No. It's from the mobile games 'All the Bravest' and 'Record Keeper'.
