Rosalie didn’t want to protect a pregnant Bella, she wanted to protect the baby. Once Renesmee was born any concern Rosalie had for Bella went out the window
What always saddened me sm about Rosalie was that like she said, she used to be in love with the idea of love. She was young and naive and discovered Royce wasn't the one in the worst way possible. But then she found true love, her real soulmate, in Emmett, and she can't have the life she dreamed of with him.
Rosalie is trying to tell Bella that she used to think like Bella currently does and also tries to tell her that love can blind you to the harshest of realities. Bella is in love with the idea of being with Edward forever, but she is not even considering other options her human life can offer her. What sounds like a dream come true can turn into your worst nightmare. It's one of the reasons i wish they didn't have Bella survive her pregnancy in Twilight. It would have proven Rosalie's point and would have pushed the story in a more interesting direction then it did.

Bella always seems to find it *too* easy to leave her dad, who made all the effort to be in her life and she doesn’t seem to spare him a second thought. Just “he’ll get over it, he’ll be sad for a while but oh well!!” Yet she never stops to consider the fact that her dad spent all his time travelling to visit her in Phoenix, he never made time to find new love or had any other children, Bella is literally the only family he has and she’s so self absorbed to notice. Yet, Alice, Jacob and even Edward are constantly worrying about how Charlie’s going to handle things, while Bella’s just so absorbed in Edward to care.
They did Rosalie background story dirty, that line that she didn’t get a choice always stung. Poor thing the fact she has to live a life that she never wanted in the first place for all eternity is really heartbreaking. Out of all the characters she’s the one I most sympathies with🥀

Nikki Reed is a hell of an actress. Rosalie is so captivating and haunting because the actress has had her fair share of sad, traumatic experiences. I wish I could see her in more.

I always felt for Rosalie. So many people hated her but she had so many good reasons for Bella to reject vampirism. Not to forget that it’s strongly implied vampires never forget what they lose or those they love (especially a mate) even if you get revenge at some point. Rosalie still has to live with the brutal memory of that night. She will never forget what was done to her, she will always remember every painful act they forced on her. No amount of time will erase that, even though she killed her abusers. I truly wish people could understand that and Edward’s to shallow to look past her facade of in perfect and pretty, SHE WANTS TO THINK OF SOMETHING OTHER THAN HER TRAUMA. Yes she has Emmett. Love can heal. But you never forget the trauma. Or the fact that you can’t even have a child with the one you truly love because of that night.

SHE may have wanted to live a human life and doesn’t like vampirism, but that doesn’t mean that’s what Bella wants….someone can give advice on facts of what it’s like being a vampire but I hate when people impose their wants and beliefs on other people. As we can see, Bella thrived after turning and loved it.

I just love that Rosalie has grown to care for Bella (even she envied her), especially on her choice on wanting to become a vampire. I understood Rosalie completely, she wanted to live a long happy normal life rather than living an immortal life with immortal misery. That's torture. A fate worse than death. She had the most heartbreaking backstory and she later on, had a shining character development. That's why she's my favorite Twilight character.

Her backstory is glossed over in the movies. Its better in the books. The movies also dont explain Rosalie's special gift is her beauty. Since she was already very beautiful in her human life it was amplified once she was turned. The books go more into detail.

No because after reading this chapter in the book I wanted a WHOLE BOOK about Rosalie’s back story. Starting with the expectations placed upon her as a beautiful woman in the Victorian era, what happened to her, her becoming a vampire, meeting and falling in love with Emmet, getting her revenge, and loving Emmet but wishing she could still have her old fashioned fantasy with him instead of the life they have to lead… THAT is a good story I wanna hear. Edit: ALSO her relationship with Carlisle, him living with the guilt that he doomed someone who never ever wanted this life that he chose for her, and them forming a peaceful and loving relationship in spite of that fact.

The movies came out when I was a teenager and I always thought it’d be awesome to be a vampire but after growing up I realize Rosalie was right. Yah it’s cool to be young forever & have superpowers & never have to die but the reality is kinda horrifying. I couldn’t imagine any guy worth giving up my entire family & making them believe I was dead especially for a high school relationship. Sometimes I think about if Edward would’ve even liked Bella if he could read her mind. Cuz that seemed to be a big thing that intrigued him about her.
Bella: "I don't understand what I did to make you hate me so much" Rosalie: Let's see. You constantly take all of your friends and family for granted, you almost got my brother killed several times and emotionally cheated on him, you have zero personality whatsoever, no hobbies, no plans for the future. Yet every good guy treats you like a goddess.
Her character had so much depth and story behind that facade of a shallow blonde. So much more interesting than Bella and Edward’s obsession with each other.

Just to point out that Rosalie can handle his thirst just as good as Carlisle does. She totally can also be a human doctor no prob and that's raw talent on her's since she didnt train for that.
Actually, in the books it's laid out that she has multiple degrees in medicine and engineering in order to help Carlisle. So, the only reason why she is not a doctor is that she hasn't applied for the job. Otherwise, this woman is entirely qualified.
It makes sense that rosalie would be angest Bella being changed it was because rosalie wanted to be human and have a child and Bella wasn't thinking about the things that she would give up as a vampire.
I think they were guards, but I still feel terrible for them. They were as innocent as she was and they were just protecting a human being, according their knowledge.
I honestly think Rosalie saw that Edward and Bella’s relationship was somewhat toxic. She was essentially saying, “Think this over.” Sure, they claimed to love each other, but was it real, true love, or just a case of “I want you, and no one else can have you”. Even if they divorced as vampires, it’s not like they could revert back into humans. Bella would have to live forever (unless she chose to off herself), realizing she had made the biggest mistake of her existence-all because of a high school crush. In my opinion, I agree with Rosalie. Their relationship felt too rushed. It wasn’t well established in either the books or the movies. Honestly, if there were ever a sequel to Breaking Dawn, it wouldn’t surprise me if Edward and Bella ended up separating.

I just finished reading the scene from the book, and it's really heartbreaking. I wish Rosalie didn't have to go through that. 😭
No because after reading this chapter in the book I wanted a WHOLE BOOK about Rosalie’s back story. Starting with the expectations placed upon her as a beautiful woman in the Victorian era, what happened to her, her becoming a vampire, meeting and falling in love with Emmet, getting her revenge, and loving Emmet but wishing she could still have her old fashioned fantasy with him instead of the life they have to lead… THAT is a good story I wanna hear.
Edit: ALSO her relationship with Carlisle, him living with the guilt that he doomed someone who never ever wanted this life that he chose for her, and them forming a peaceful and loving relationship in spite of that fact.
Rosalie has got to have the most horrific background story of them all....

Rosalie and EmmetIwanted to see how they built their relationship in Twilight after Rosalie's trauma. It would be nice to see more of these characters and their perhaps only healthy relationship in the saga in the film.
The movies came out when I was a teenager and I always thought it’d be awesome to be a vampire but after growing up I realize Rosalie was right. Yah it’s cool to be young forever & have superpowers & never have to die but the reality is kinda horrifying. I couldn’t imagine any guy worth giving up my entire family & making them believe I was dead especially for a high school relationship. Sometimes I think about if Edward would’ve even liked Bella if he could read her mind. Cuz that seemed to be a big thing that intrigued him about her.

Why are all the characters outside of the main three just so much more interesting? You could literally have picked any one of them to follow, especially the Cullen siblings, and it would have been more entertaining than Bella’s story,

Just to point out that Rosalie can handle his thirst just as good as Carlisle does. She totally can also be a human doctor no prob and that's raw talent on her's since she didnt train for that.
Actually, in the books it's laid out that she has multiple degrees in medicine and engineering in order to help Carlisle. So, the only reason why she is not a doctor is that she hasn't applied for the job. Otherwise, this woman is entirely qualified.

I honestly think Rosalie saw that Edward and Bella’s relationship was somewhat toxic. She was essentially saying, “Think this over.” Sure, they claimed to love each other, but was it real, true love, or just a case of “I want you, and no one else can have you”. Even if they divorced as vampires, it’s not like they could revert back into humans. Bella would have to live forever (unless she chose to off herself), realizing she had made the biggest mistake of her existence-all because of a high school crush.
In my opinion, I agree with Rosalie. Their relationship felt too rushed. It wasn’t well established in either the books or the movies. Honestly, if there were ever a sequel to Breaking Dawn, it wouldn’t surprise me if Edward and Bella ended up separating.
Just because you want something doesnt mean you get to decide if someone making the wrong or right decision based on your personal feelings. She had NO excuse to be a bitch to Bella. Anything she went through doesn't justify her behavior towards someone else who desires something she feels ruined her life.
