History found and people not forgotten. Absolutely fascinating. Things don’t really change that much, people still get murdered and die in accidents. It’s sad, I feel so sorry for that poor family. So much tragedy.
You two do a wondrous service of capturing and maintaining the history of Southwest West Virginia and Eastern Kentucky. Every person that has lived and will live in these areas contribute to that history.

Lord Leo, I keep hearing you talk about rain, and 80 degree temperatures! Even in your other vlogs. Please send it our way. We, in South Central Texas, haven't seen rain in months! Our temperatures have been over 100 degrees in months. With the humidity it's been averaging 112 degrees! Burn bans are posted in many of our counties for over a month! This was a great vlog by you and Heather. It's the only relief I've been given, by just watching your vlogs!

My grandfather's sister was married to a Chester Messick, but I cannot find a connection to the Messick Family that Ada Copley had married into. Maybe there is no relation, but it is such an unusual name.

Heather you brought back a memory ... The name is pronounced .. Cope lee... My Mother was born in Thacker Mines. And I remember my gramdma saying this name. Idk if we was related or not or if they was just neighbors ? They was same age as my grandmother so she might have went to school with them. Thacker was a small Town back then now just a road.
I never pronounce anything right, and I probably won't in the future lol

leo can you find out about the Steele family. The old lady who took care of me & my brother's & sisters came from there she was married to a Steele her name was Olie. She told me many stories growing up down there.

I found 2 Buskirk Cemeteries...1 in Logan County and 1 in Mingo County. But no Copley's in either one. in fact,theres only 6 showing being buried in one on FAG and 20 showing buried in the other..So what mistake did I make looking for the Copley Family?😢
What was the outcome of the trial of the young man that murdered the guy and dumped his body in the river?
My great-great-grandmother died of burns from a coal oil lamp that exploded somehow. I wonder if the young woman was injured by something like that?
My grandma namer her daughter Mable ... Now I wonder if it was because of this Mable?
What a tragic family. So many accidents, because I’m sure the son who was murdered was really a tragic accident, where two friends drank too much, started egging one another on with silly comments like I’ve got a date with your wife & a fist fight got out of hand. Alcohol & youth can be a dangerous combination.
