Both my living daughter's love cemeteries. Not quite as much as I do, but they'd go with me. My youngest will pick wildflowers and place them on Graves with lambs or Graves we know were children. ( I want to camp in our small family cemetery, but she wouldn't ) She like the mysteries of finding certain Graves and putting them on find a grave. My girls are 22 and 32.
Leo you are more than welcome to film our Hatfield cematarries 1 being above blackberry elementary and the other on blue springs hollor in mccar near blackberry
You are the voice for the voiceless. Your job is very important to history and to those that have no means of getting there to see a grave of loved ones. You and Heather are very special God bless you
I just want to thank you for teaching me the history that surrounds me now . I love history and come from Boston Massachusetts and have grown up learning all the History and visiting all the historical places. From the Pilgrims , Indains to the witch trails . Am now much older and was in search of a safe environment in today's horrific world. I traveled when I was younger and went through Kentucky into West Virginia. At 23 year's old I was astounded by the beauty and the welcoming people who lived here. Ive always had a big spot in my heart for this God Given beautiful state . Am back and here to stay but in this process like to know the history of what this beautiful state has to learn about the people before me . Thank You for your Historical lessons and your wonderful stories. Leo & Heather your videos mean the world to me . Love a Nana from a different world who appreciates all of my surroundings. ❤❤❤
Beautiful little cemetery, I remember it from one of your prior videos. Nice to see that the family takes pretty good care of it. Great walking tour, thank you very much Leo and Heather. Have a great weekend. 😊
When I watched this I found out about your other page, so I jumped over there and subscribed. I love your down to earth style Leo, keep up the good work. From The Natural State have a great weekend and God Bless You All. ❤️🇺🇲❤️🇺🇲
Another nice video, ya'll. Interesting story, and I think you're correct. Many old murders were covered up by calling the hunting accidents, or just not enough investigation into suspicious situations. I want to take issue with Leo on one point, the grave is not your final spot. Your final soft will be Heaven or Hell. I will agree that this will be your final worldly resting spot. I've caught myself before, standing in a graveyard looking at stones, reading names and dates, and start wondering what it would be like to talk to these folks again for a bit. My grandmother always said there was more stories in a graveyard than you could read in a lifetime. I want to say thank you to ya'll, for all the research , both in the leg work side and the digging records side. I know both can be equally exhausting and frustrating. God bless ya'll and stay safe on your travels to these destinations. We all would hate for ya'll to become a part of history. 😊❤😊
I appreciate this as a historian and family record keeper. But, your comment about stepping on graves is important. My parents were from the Ozarks and we were told never to step on a grave it causes bad luck, you could fall through, and do not disrespect the dead. I am that way now and taught this to my children.
If you ever go to the Williams cemetery. It's in Delbarton off rt 2.Alot of my dad's is buried there and Lands.Unfortunately my dad is bury away from his folks in Virginia
Dan's dad only lived less than 5 years after Dan's murder. Broken hearted. Did Dan's widow suspect who killed her husband? After all he was in a 'hunting party'. The others had to know who murdered Dan.
Please come to Princeton WV, Mercer co. Do a study about Shawnee lake. There is a Ferris wheel and swings still standing. A Indian massacre happened there.❤😅😢
Leo, that’s plenty close to your last meal ( mushrooms). Dan McCoy was a handsome young man, seems unbelievable he was shot in the back of the head. The name Pett is nice for a gal.
Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. John 11:25 Those who trust/believe/place their faith in Jesus of Nazareth... and believe He is who He said he is... God Almighty in the flesh... the Messiah... will receive forgiveness of Sin and Eternal Life...
Murray Station Homestead. Kentucky. Is it far from you guys. I would love to see some old houses inside decorations outside too. And the story's of them. Like the high school that is no more. Have a nice and Happy weekend. If i lived over there i would love to make a curry deerleg for you guys. Yummie. ❤❤
@@thehillbillyfiles there was only one story I heard about what happened to Dan McCoy. But I wouldn’t know how much is true. My dad dint talk about his father so I didn’t learn much about him. Dan McCoy is my grandfather whom I never got to meet. My dad was only 9 when he passed. The first pictures I saw of him were on here.
I love old cemeterys, they say so much if you'll listen...wish the young folk cared enough to 😔
