I remember sleeping at a friend's house, late 2010/early 2011 and just channel hopping between MTV and the other music channels. 'Cause it was late night they were playing the full length videos and I remember seeing the intro with the small girl and not being super interested and then the violins cut, the screen flashes multicoloured and the different text and symbolism and the Def Jam logo and Hype Williams name. It's literally giving me goosebumps writing this. Very rarely does something like that happen. Such a cool moment in time.

My favorite Kanye's verse in a featuring song is "American Boy", by Estelle. That song is timeless and his verse fits so well with the themes and mood of the song.

Runaway. The intro is simply 2 notes playing just slightly out of step but in sync for what seems like forever... THEN it hits. HARD. Just like the lyrics suggest the relationship pattern was. Masterpiece.

Graduation is my favorite Kanye album, but MBDTF is a VERY close 2nd. So much so that I’m not mad at ALL if someone says it’s his best album.
