Thanks fellas for another fantastic video. You’ve just incorporated my three favourite thing’s on television at the moment. Opal, the young guns and the bushmen! Many great wishes for both your futures in your search for the mother loads of Opal. 👍🏻
Get these juicy black opal boizzzzzz lets go! The tease at the end tho ... i can't wait to see more. And if you can please tell him that I want to come mine in for opal with him !
What a team Young Guns and Rod. Some stunning opal as you pan around the stones that you found. Guess it's getting hot in the fields now best of luck for the rest of the season
I really like you guys can do attitude !! You're a half step from the dump bucket why not shovel it into it and not your buckets you're loading now?? Nice finds!!! Enjoyed your video and I gave it a Thumbs Up
Another great video! Great seeing some of my favorite opal hunters. Tailouts gave got to be exciting and suspenseful. We got our 1st snow of the winter today 😢 How’s the weather down South? We’ve been thinking of visiting Australia next March for our 30th wedding anniversary.
*Guys, again another spectacular video absolutely recommend watching this video and subscribing*🔥👌🙌👏🏻👏🏻* Really love watching your uploads I enjoy so so much! Keep it going, keep fighting for that find of a lifetime. Lovely surprise to see rod at the the end- nice guy. Tell him to make some videos and start a channel bet he’d have a following
hey guys.. I have been jackhammering for about 3 decades... I see everyone uses them dern points bits. I always used a 3" spade. Rock, concrete, asphault, dirt. You get a good chunk of material out. You would think it would not work for the rock and lmestone, but it does. I saw some other guys useing hand air hammers. You still have to run a compressor, They will run off of full size air bottles, but they are very heavy... ( why is air so heavy???) or hook them up to a 5 gallon backpak airtank for exploration. The type of tanks they use when you in a wheel chair..
Worth considering! Haven’t done too much with air hammers but they are pretty fun! Not really used the shovel tips but will have to give them a go one day!
Hahaha! I was thinking the same thing and then thought, "well of course he does. He's an ocker after all". Everything ends in the "ee" sound. "Truckee" for Truck, "Agee" for agitator. I bet they know a guys called Brownsy, Jonesy and Smithy.
I wonder why you guys dont use some uv lights in the mine. Like just hang two on thr ceiling and than you spot opal right away. Or im i mistaken? I mean id give it a try... Strong UV, so it works simultaneously with the normal lighting. Or is it to dusty maybe?
Why do you drop the rocks from such a height? Opals are fragile. You should cut that height in half, mates. Put a heavy rubber lining in truck bed to cut down on more dumping damage.
Have you blokes got what you would call a permanent base? I notice that you travel a lot between here and there but dont seem to have a place that you call home (if I can use that word). The reason that I ask is because if you had a permanent or even a semi permanent base than you could look at getting your own agi or two to wash your own product. Any idea what that would cost to set up? You have come a long way since I first started watching you and have started gathering together some equipment but you can always use more in that game.
@@younggunsopalhunters how's the living conditions around lightning Ridge, is it tougher living compared to home base boys? I notice alot more "Bush shanty Shaks" around Lightning ⚡ ridge? My dream is to have a go opal mining ⛏️ , unfortunately none of my mates have the interest to have a crack.
I buy a fair amount of Australian opal rough, on ebay, etsy, and opal auctions. I love the material, I am base in Central and North Jersey, so I try not to participate in society, just cab and stay to myself. Anyways, I was at the edison,nj show buying rough australian opal from a vendor, based out of Conn. who has direct connections to different miners in Australia. He told me you guy have to deal with tweekers and others, jumping your claims and pulling out the left over opal without paying you or your consent. This guy went on to say the majority of ebay australian material that is sold, is the product of people jumping claims or straight up stealing from miners. I am curious does this story have weight, or is this dude full of shit!
Thank you all for watching If you want to support us head over to our Etsy store:

Why don’t you place a rubber mat underneath, roll it into a funnel then empty it into the bucket, save loads of time and shovelling.
was nice to meet you lads at whitecliffs a few weeks back. all the best yo

The surrounding dirt cushions it. Just how it’s done. Would be super bad luck to hit one from the drop straight into metal
I want to come work with you guys 🙂
One day we will have to set up a mine where our friends and followers can come and have a dig!

lots and lots of mucking dirt.
