Excellent! I really like the copper wire markers idea, I'm gonna incorporate that in my mountain banjo build. Thanks.

I can tell you built a Kentucky mountain banjo because of its octagonal body shape.

Beautiful piece of work. Personally, I like the precision fitting you did on fixing the neck to the pot. I’ve assembled one mountain banjo kit, but have not yet attempted a build from scratch. (Even the kit gave me fits trying to get the head tight.) But I do suspect there’s a fretless gourd banjo build in my future somewhere.

      @@blackmountainbanjos574 Hello black mountain banjos,,
Sir , can I play old tyme mountain music on a Resenator Banjo with nylon strings to get that needed classic sound that nylon strings do for a banjo.???
I figure I could buy a R-35 Resenator Banjo from Recording King and add the nylon strings and have it be a bit brighter then the open back banjo..
Trying to see what folks think of my idea. What do you think.??
Can you do a short video on what that would sound like ????
      Like your home built banjo.

@@harvdog5669 I think you can do that. You may need to adjust the slots in the nut to accommodate the wider strings, but the result should be pretty good.

@@blackmountainbanjos574 Can you do a short video on that idea of mine. Oh rapid fire here, somebody shooting out after dark,, NOT GOOD, even here in the mountains.
      More shooting. More shooting.
      More shooting, .
Shooting finally stopped for now up here in the dark mountain after dark..
I need to learn to play.
I need to hear a comparison between a open back with nylon vs. Resenator with nylon, more shooting, more rounds, lots of rounds. Somebody will call the sheriff I am sure.
I need that comparison,so I can decide weather a Resenator or an open back is what I want, according to the sound.
No more gun fire.. 7000 ft up on mountain after dark is no place to shoot, unless someone has an under ground shooting alley.
That is possible up here in the county...sounded like fast shooting and slower at a target 🎯🎯🎯..that was 30 or 40 rounds I heard... Have a good night..

I think i basically used the dimensions of my SS Steward American Princess banjo, a shorter scale lady's banjo. The scale length of this one is 24"
