I honestly don't think bamboo's kit is better than the og one, in zones I might choose it but anywhere else it doesn't sound good, fizzy on it doesn't make sense either, the time it take to charge the fizzy you'd get spotted or you could just shoot your main instead and have a faster sneakier attack, chumps may lock down a area but wail can follow the enemy anywhere, miss place chumps or have the enemy destroy and or just move and they're useless, I've been maining bamboo for 3 years now and just don't see the upsides for this kit, I don't want to argue but please legitimately tell me what you think the benefits of this kit is
@@DanielGonzalez-kj5zr Fizzy is just extremely powerful, there's a reason Prochara says it's the strongest sub weapon in the game. It paints nearly as much as a sprinker, leaves an ink trail like curling bomb, and covers a wider area for less ink than any other bomb. It pairs well with bamboozler in particular because you can combo off of it, something that autobomb can't help with because it's too slow to blow up (it's main utility is locating enemies). Fizzy meanwhile can give you quick combos even without charging it up at all, once you do charge it it just gets that much better (and it takes less than half a second if you're good at it, bamboozler is already fast enough that the charge time doesn't hurt much).
Super chump is a lot more debatable since I think it and killer wail are both on the lower end in terms of power, but you can much more easily play off of chump than you can killer wail. The only value you're guaranteed to get out of killer wail is location on opponents, if they're good enough they're just going to play jump rope with the beams. People dodge it so often that you can't even count on it getting 15 damage to combo off of reliably. Chump on the other hand is guaranteed to paint an area, cover it with dummies to body block, and force people there to react. Misplacing chumps is hardly a downside because it just means you have more control over the special, and even if the enemy shoots them that's still time and ink not spent playing the objective. Think of it this way: wail is good for ending fights and securing kills, but only if the enemy team is already struggling and being pushed back. Chump on the other hand is good for starting fights and getting in, but instead relies on you to time it right to get value. It might not be as reliable as wail, but the potential it has is much higher. That goes for fizzy bomb too I suppose (though it's hard to not play fizzy well lol), this kit overall has a higher skill floor but a much higher skill ceiling as well.
the other big difference between mk iii in endgame splat 2 and the mk ii kit here is that you also don't have NEARLY as much gear dependency. mk iii not only wanted efficiency bc it had less shots but it also needed spu and shredder for bubbles AND mpu was a thing, and you probably wanted some mobility too. you needed to be able to wear multiple hats shirts and shoes at the same time to get the most out of the kit.
this time though? you can basically just invest into mobility and the fizzy bomb and be pretty well optimised.
Blob+object shredder is hilarious against super chump, each bubble one shots each chump
Same with tri-stringer. I always run OS with it because it's so good at dealing with objects. Chumps in particular go down quickly though.

My thoughts are this, bamboo is gonna be one of the best weapons in the game, both the sub and special A: hit key hit to kill thresholds for the weapon. Scraped by chumps? One tap. Scraped by fizzy? One tap. Two is that it’s sub and special let the weapon get in and play aggressively, both of them paint for it and chumps provides mini barriers as protection.
I bet for recycle sheldon is going to say something like "Use the Toxic Mist sub weapon to disorient and trap your foes, then kick them into the recycle bin by launching your Brella shield to finish the job! It sure pays to think green. 🤓"

Honestly, Toxic Mist is one of the only subs that I wouldn't care if it was removed from future titles. What weapon ever wants Mist over something else?

I think mist has its place in the series but with their absolute refusal to buff it or give it anything creative (I don't even want it to be good, just even decent), pretty much everything that gets it is just sad to get it.

@@maskofice9432 I would like to see what happens if they give mist a ~2 second lingering effect, obviously don’t make it kick in as soon as the mist deploys but I think mist should have some aspect that discourages entering it much more strongly

Yes but I think that might be to much, it should definitely slow you down and drain your ink a little more but just a bit of damage should be applied, ink storm is too much
Honestly Mist should prevent Squid Rolls, Immidietly cancel the animation when someone touches it.
Does need other buffs too but that's a start.

Just add 1 point of damage to every hit taken while poisoned. Takes a shot off the kill time of several weapons, turns brellas into bombs, makes wail scary, and doesn’t overpower the already broken big hitters.
N.B. do the same for point sensors but only for the player that threw it.
I think -30% max health would be more balanced
Honestly splash on bambrella makes sense. It’s like having jet pack on sorella, once you drop down (if you don’t die in air) you can pull up the shield point blank. Plus it’s good to use it behind the shield
Dont think that'll work quite as well as with brella and inkjet? Cus you can get the brella shield out before you land with jet. With splashdown you have to wait for the endlag, shoot then wait for the shield to come out.

I wonder if running bamboo with pencil is really not a good idea. They seem like they have a lot of overlap, but they actually mostly play in different places and roles, and their tendency for chip damage works well together. Typically double charger is a paint liability, but bamboo and pencil both paint quite well, especially with their kits. Curious to see if anyone will experiment with the two of them together
I think Bamboo + Pencil would be somewhat playable for the reasons you gave, but it would also really struggle to push forwards and take space because it’s something that they both struggle to do. Ultimately I would say Bamboo + Edit is still much stronger

I would've LOVED to have burst on this brella kit man, I want to believe in the main weapon so badly but they keep giving it useless sub weapons that can't help it do the things it wants to do. I think if they do third kits I'd personally love to see burst bomb + Kraken, with the launched brella being able to shield the Kraken startup and the Kraken offering continuation for a weapon that wants to be as aggressive as this one in general. Mist is seriously just so disappointing though.
Wish recycle got burst bomb. I think its fair weapon to get that sub. Its not super fast.
Another thing with Chumps is 90% of the chump weapons have better kits, and Bamboo that's not the case

Honestly at very least recycled 2 has a nice rainmaker niche with high damage output and mist being at its best in rainmaker so i say thats good (still very excited to try it)
As a Bamboo main, I'm VERY excited for this kit.
I'm sooo happy we are finally getting the new bamboo kit. There is nothing wrong with the vanilla kit really, it just wasn't a lot of fun for me. I basically have to run a mini bomb rush set to play for fun with it. But this new kit? I'm so excited for it! I had come to terms we were going to get something absolutely garbage.
I am so happy as a Bamboo player. Although Super Chump isn't my personal #1 special i would want for it, it's still up there. And overall, it one of the best specials it can get. I can't wait to actually have a second kit

The bamboo kit is great because of fizzy bomb, it synergies so much with bamboo and it's so much fun am so happy we got another fizzy weapon. And super chumps makes this kit even better than it already is. Overall for bamboo very good. Sadly recycled was so close to being good, triple splash down works so well with it aggressive play style, and then they gave it toxic mist...😟. This weapons needs a buff to make is more useful but to also make it more unique. you were almost there recycled, almost there. overall while triple splash down is awesome for this weapon toxic mist drags it down.
People keep saying that they want Recycled Brella to be buffed but in what way(s) exactly (damage, ink consumption, firing rate, etc)?
I’ve pinned and DMed Nintendo enough times to get Fizzy + Chump (they never saw my DMs but I’ll pretend they did)
As someone who’s played quite a bit of recycled, I think triple splashdown is quite good for the main, but mist is honestly a downgrade compared to dart. Recycled desperately wants chip damage, and things to combo with the slow main. Dart needs a lot of skill to hit things consistently but it does do that for the weapon. It even comes with the bonus that if you start with the dart you can track them down thanks to the location if they try to run away. It’s also just a source of burst paint you can use to move around the map faster. Mist doesn’t really do much for the weapon like dart does, at most, it slows down some enemies so you have an easier time hitting them. Whether triple splashdown is enough to outweigh mist, and make it better or worse than the vanilla kit? I’m not sure. But I’d definitely agree that the main weapon is going to need buffs at this point.

There's another very slight benefit to mist and its that you can regen and launch a second sheild before mist fades away so if timed right you can super block chokepoints

So I've noticed that Recycle has some of the bugs that the other Brellas use to have. However, one bug I found is really good to the point that the devs should make it an actual trait of the weapon. If you shoot your shot close up, off center from a target, the bullets pierce. I was able to do 70 damage to the target in front of me and 90 damage to the target behind it. Just for irony, I think piercing would be kinda cool on this weapon.
