Most underrated fuzzbox song, if not one of the 80's tracks of all time. Guitar work is class
Solo by Dr Brian May .......
When I was a boy travelling in my dad's car we passed a bus with fuzzbox on board and the lead singer blew me a kiss I've never forgot that moment, I'm 47 now lol
My band supported her in Vix & the Kicks after Fuzzbox split up, and she was super cool - she even stayed to watch us play 😊
She given me a kiss and signed my 7” I’m 48😂
Truly underrated band! Remember seeing their full name on a chart show and discovering their alt punk stuff before the fantastic late 80s iteration
One of the few groups that could actually play their instrument's !
Actully they could not I heard they had session musicians, play some or all of the instruments.
They can play their instruments x
+Joe Newport check their earlier punk stuff them girls can play. Although I have read somewhere this era of the band was all pre programmed stuff so you could be correct for this era of fuzz box
IIRC it was just the guitarist that wasnt that good, or at least had no formal training.
Who cares if they could play or not? They came up with great songs, and The Kids loved 'em. :-)
R.I.P Jo Dunne. Cannot believe she has been taken so young.
So sad ....... Maggie is so lovely x
Tricky Nicky think it was cancer wat took her life
kittyCat Furbabies she'rocks same as the other members
Least she weren't abducted by ets
@@KittyCatFurbabiesMaria1972 I agree
as a massive queen fan i came on here to compliment Jo for rockin it with Brian May ..then see that shes passed already. What a pisser! God bless u Jo..you really cld hold yer own n rock it with the best 😚
Love Tina's drumming style, Loved Tina period...
Can't believe that Maggie and Vix are still going that's why I still love fuzzbox
Had such a crush on Magz, the bass player, back then. Lonely teenage nights were never so much fun.
All these years later i still have... \m/ (:o)
Me to pal, and the lead singer.
Who wasn't a little bit in love with Vix or Tina? Or both? I never could decide which era of Fuzzbox I preferred. The messy alternative punk thing of the mid 80s or the slick pop thing of the late 80s. Both were fabulous though!
i'll bet their quim stank somethin' rotten, tho!
So many great things about this song. Vocals, power guitar, steamhammer drums, killer bassline, middle dropout. My favorite song from a great album.
Really great song. Should have been a bigger hit in the United States.
American is shit for music
1989 What a fine vintage it was. Fuzzbox lead singer & Wendy James of Transvision Vamp, the good old days.
Goddamn! Vicki is gorgeous.
Finally found this after decades of wondering. This song was popular in the Australian charts in the late 80's, and it was the first and last I'd heard of Fuzzbox. For many years, I had only remembered the chorus and tried to find it by Googling, 'three piece girl band self'. This never worked. But today, I Googled, 'self self self lyrics' and immediately found it. And now I discover how popular they were in the UK, and how their guitarist sadly passed away a few years ago. Good luck to all of them, and RIP Jo Dunne.
90,s
Jo's guitar work was amazing. Reminds me of Dave Stewart, especially with similar jacket but she had a similar playing style, such a sad loss when she died.
LOL Brian May played the good bit at the end.
I was one of the many that made it to Jos funeral .. we miss her too .. did you get to the 2010 Fuzzbox re-union tour ??????
@@robaspinall988 sadly not
Probably the hottest lead singer ever, apart from Wendy James! O and great song!
A Draw
Don’t forget Patsy Kensit, another beaut ❤️❤️❤️
Understatement
No,Tina on drums
Maggie is an absolute stunner, she still looks good today.
The tune.. The guitar solo..
It’s Brian May
How good is this even to this day. Not sure there were too many sexier front women than Vix, why wasn't she a superstar!?
Vix is now a Teacher back here in Birmingham UK, she can still Rock the Sexy singer look too 😉👍
great rocking track never grows old, that end guitar riff would make a brilliant ring tone! r.i.p jo
LOVE the sound of the synth guitar! Great song! This came out in 1989.
Me too, I thought I was the only one.
mrmopar5 Brian May of queen is on this song doing to guitar solo
Comicbookstoreguy177 I actually know the fuzzbox and sees them live
Well, okay - whoever is doing the guitar solo. I LOVE it!
Michael Matthews it's only queens Brian May
Brian May as special guitarist.. Wow 😎
Tina the Drummer 😘
Great song and a few years back Maggie gave me some of her badges that Smash hit magazine had given them back in the 1980s very lovely lady and encouraged me on some projects I was doing at the time and I still wear on of the badges on my jacket .
That's so cool! I found out about them through Star Hits, the American version of Smash Hits. I only heard their cheesy cover of Spirit In The Sky. I think that they were inspired by Doctor & The Medics based on their look. Also a bit by Sigue Sigue Sputnik. Crazy fashions, but great pop rock 😁
ian kidger Maggie is lovely ! Did u know she’s on Facebook ?and Vix is also x
@@KittyCatFurbabiesMaria1972 yes was Freinds with them both on my old FB account and also Maggie's late sister Jo , all lovely ladies x
ian kidger I’m friends with Maggie and Vix on Facebook and talk to Maggie shes lovely 😊... have u Facebook now ?? X
Brick Top youre fucking discgusting how dare u speak about Maggie like that !! You’re a scumbag !!!
bought the single when it came out ! KICK ASS !
I bought the album. Still have it on tape they were my first ever celebrity crushes
Absolutely gorgeous women! I bought this album and single when the media in Australia tried to do a bit of a push on Fuzzbox, but they never really made it here. Brian May's guitar work on this track rocks! :-D
It still grooves!
I thought they were great, one of my favorites at the time. I loved their outfits.
so 80's it hurts. hurts good.
The only proper girl band to date!
Victoria is my music teacher 😂
Now that is cool, having a pop star as your music teacher!
whaaaat?! this is awesome! where do you study?????
....and if you do not behave in class, she has a fuzzbox and she is gonna use it!
Better than the spice girls!
And Little Mix
do you compare The Kinks to Johnny Cash just because they're dudes?
None of Your Business if you’re asking me it’s a irrelevant question as neither interest me ...where as fuzzbox do as Theyre great musicians and I know 2 of the girls and they’re lovely adorable ladies 😊
They don't make girl bands like this anymore
Not difficult.
It's kind of gutting that they didn't release anymore albums after this, but Big Bang! was a great album so maybe it was wise to call it a day there
had such a crush on Vicky the lead singer....now I remember why :-)
Is 2:59 the reason why I have the fetish I have today as an adult lol
I still do 😍
@@fredfredburger5150 Being attracted to your own sex isn't a fetish though (assuming Fred Fredburger is your real name, which I'm sure it is).
cool. i have the CD from back in the day....thx for posting this here.
Back in the day it was on tape only
@@DizzyKizzy64 CD, bought it new in '89. U.S. release.
Love the vid and Brian May kills it on guitar. 😃
I was really excited when this came out in the States. It felt like it was going to be a big hit given the success at the time for other female fronted bands.
International rescue great song
Amazing track !!😤
Fukin excellent.... best one they've done?
With Sabrina and Vicki, 88-89 was an interesting time to be a 13-14 year old boy....
I have been looking for this video for years, the bullwhip bite has ghosted my memories for years
I found it thanks
still got this on vinyl ..
Vicki is stunning and has a gorgeous body and this band pisses all over girls aloud and spice girls any fucking day.R.I.P JO
+Christopher Jackson Hmm think they were a bit ahead of their time of the Spice Girls.. certainaly better ;-)
+Andrew J Malkin a lot better
Actually a pretty good song, even kind of dark
Vicky 😍
Vicky perks is awesome
Fabulous
Brian May is shredding the guitar to the max during the solo. Great track!
00:43!!!!
Jonathon McCue hellfire !!
I've gone blind!
Absolutely gorgeous. I didn't see Brian anywhere so disappointed but this definitely made up for it lol.
Who confused inches and feet when printing the score?
I bought their album 'Bostin Steve Austin ' the year it was released - 1986😮
AWESOME
In Vickie - I trust. Such a great band at the wrong time. . .
Michael Matthews I disagree I love fuzzbox especially Maggie
Maggie is great too, but I love them all!
Okay, but I still love Vix and Tina the most! Drums and vocals - you know!!
Michael Matthews u know that Tina died from cancer
Really? So, sorry to hear that. But time has a clock on all of us. . .
They could've been as famous as Duran Duran
She's so cool vix
Better than the crap of today like girls aloud, the Saturdays, or little mix. These girls were underrated in the day and classed as pop kittens rather than rock chicks, ironically today this sort of music would be so beneficial to young girls learning to play musical instruments (not just sing it - synched), however they're just spoon fed manufactured Cowell crap! Guess female acts are constantly playing catch up.
fuzzbox were talking about the record company when doing this song.
how cool is the guitarist? drummer too.
They remind me of a fake band that would appear on Friday the 13th Part 8: Jason Takes Manhattan! I remember seeing this video on Vh1 Classic back in 2002 or 2003.
cool
This as close as it gets to porn on youtube!! I completely wore out the Big Bang tape in the late eighties. Here in the states they were never popular but I found their cassette and fell in love!! Thanks girls! Also R.I.P. Jo so sad...
Forgot what a great record that was
Vicki perks was so beautiful to me when I was a young boy attwell 🎵😟😄😎🤩🤪
So weird watching this knowing she used to be my teacher and now im working with her
🥰
Devastating song
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Great guitar solo from jo even tho it was brian may who did it
Drummer looks like Clair Grogan.
brain may plays guitar on this single self
I think it's sad they went in this direction. Somebody did them dirty.
Maggie is my favourite
This is a Yoko Ono song. Really good.
That's Walking on Thin Ice.
The singer is so gorgeous…..🤪😛😛
Linkin Park nicked this riff for Runaway
These bitches rock the hell out of this track!!!!!!!
Still fancies Maggie
I always thought Tina was really cute.
They're all bloody cute! \m/ (:o)
Fusebox were good Alan Collins
They shoulda devoted a lot more camera time to those hot musclestuds while makin' this vid.
style over content
Не узнаю Лепса аще...
My god this is horrible. What happened to We've Got A Fuzzbox / Bostin' Steve Austin?!
Yeah, the Internaional Rescue era was crap. Such a waste.
First record I bought age 9 😂
Better than banana rama i thought
Fusebox were good Alan Collins
Are you still talking to yourself???
