    Wow looks interesting, let us know how it works out. Also important with all portable acs does condenser fan cycle off when temp is reached or slow down due to the fact that it’s an inverter type compressor?
    Good luck with it.

    • @Smurdle450
      @Smurdle450  2 года назад +1

      The condenser fan is infinitely variable, and independent of the evaporator fan. It spins up or down based on how warm (or cold in heat mode) the coils are.
      Since this unit is effectively a dual hose it's basically a non issue.

    How does it compare to your lg window unit 14k btu? Does it cool faster ?

    I bought this unit I have it downstairs in my basement apartment it works very well but I’m trying to figure out if it’s just too strong and should I have stuck with the LG inverter?

    • @Smurdle450
      @Smurdle450  2 года назад +1

      I doubt it's too strong; It ramps down almost as low as my LG does when demand is met. If you leave it on automatic fan speed the fan will go down to the point where it's barely even on If it has to.
      My advice, use the comfort sense feature on the remote and keep the remote somewhere in range. It helps the unit get a much more accurate temperature reading.

      @@Smurdle450 Yes I did leave the fan on auto I forgot about using that remote oh I know why I didn’t use the remote because it has the same as my pioneer split unit. When I tried using the remote on the TOSHIBA the pioneer would go on so I use the app. But you’re right that would help using the remote

    • @Smurdle450

      @@petermaz701 oh that's fun.
      Since I'm pretty sure both the pioneer and Toshiba are Midea-made, it makes sense though.
      My remote would control my LEDs, so now I use the remote purely to report temperature, and I use the controls on the unit or app to change temperature.

      @@Smurdle450 Great idea and that’s what I’m gonna have to do as well, thank you. I tried the LG it’s an excellent unit but this one has more features like the auto fan feature the LG doesn’t have it. On this unit it will actually shut the fan off altogether can’t do that on the LG and the fact that this is dual hose so no negative pressure. But I would still recommend the LG as well it’s a very good unit.

    • @Smurdle450
      @Smurdle450  2 года назад +1

      @@petermaz701 I'm glad to hear the LG does well despite being single hose.
      To use the remote on Comfort Sense, just leave the remote in cool or heat mode and enable the comfort sense. (Press set until the little person icon shows up, then press OK.) Now, just make sure the remote is in range and never touch it again!
      The remote will never check with the unit about set points or anything. You can do whatever you want in the app or on the unit itself and the remote won't care. It will just keep reporting temperature. Even if you turn the unit completely off and on, the remote will never care.

    Are there any differences between this version and the version produced by? Whynter

      None other than the brand name and a couple aesthetic differences.

      @@Smurdle450 So as a person with very little vision is it possible? You can do some different sound clips of this machine. On the different modes in different operating conditions. And also something else in your opinion? Is this the best portable? Heat pump on the market

      @@vectorcollector4893 sorry for the late response. Would audio clips still be of use to you? I'll try to upload some clips in the next couple weeks if so.
      For a portable heat pump, I think this unit is second to none.

      @@Smurdle450 Yes, they would still be of use to me. Just like the different operating conditions and the compressor speeding up and slowing down. As well as the reversing valve, just general stuff.

      @@vectorcollector4893 All right, I'll try to remember to make some clips when I get to use this unit in a couple weeks.
      Would it be best if I verbally say what noise you're about to hear before it happens, or would text/timestamps in the description be okay?
      If I do talk, I'll keep talking to a minimum so you can actually hear the sounds of the unit.

    Hi! Is this AC quiet enough to have it running in a bedroom when sleeping?

    • @Smurdle450
      @Smurdle450  2 года назад +1

      Yes and no.
      If you run the unit on low fan speed and the unit is able to run constantly, it is very quiet.
      HOWEVER, if the unit cycles off and on, the condenser fan will always run at full speed for about a minute before spinning down. That causes a momentary jump in noise that would disturb light sleepers.
