Can I take a minute to appreciate ADVENTURE VLOGS! I’ve missed watching your little outings since Covid shut everything down. The park walks and the shopping trips 🫶🏻 I’m so excited for moving vlogs bc of vlogs like these!!!
Also, the green turtleneck with the teddy fresh pants is so cute!!!!
Hey Baylee, some feedback on the custom box idea: as cool as I think it could look, I already cry on the inside throwing away the tape/stickers you use for packaging. I fear I would hoard the boxes if they were custom printed and never get rid of them. ; _ ; . I don't mind the white boxes at all.
Agreed!!!
Yes! I feel horri le throwing away your packaging. Custom boxes would kill me 😭
Plus plain white boxes make them more reuse-friendly for people using them as gift boxes or storage. Reusing is better for the environment than straight to recycling.
Loving the look of the bigger thank you cards/prints, and the chonky sleeves. With printing on the bags, could it be worth adding a "thank you" on the bags?
I think bag designs without messages like that have more reusability. I will not be getting the custom printing since it's black ink only.
Such a lovely vlog! Loved seeing the airport adventure 😍❤️
I have probably 100+lbs of weight on some of my wide ivar shelves and they hold up really well! It's way sturdier than you would think it is--my favourite part about them especially for warehouse use is that you can build on to them!! so instead of two shelves side by side you can build an entire wall of connected shelving!!
wow amazing video I love baylee jae ort.
lol I'm glad you got back home safely after all of the airport bs!
The tape is gorgeous!!!! All the art is gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!!! I’ve made it through a painful, sick awful day totally distracted by your vids!!!!! What fabulous art!! Oh man!!!!
I see people use a self inking stamp with there own logo and design n just stamp the inside flap. So when u open the box it’s an extra cute thing
If jumbo self-inkers exist, then I'd be interested. 😂
@@BayleeJae they do! I was just coming here to write the same comment about the self inking stamps.
I absolutely L❤️VE my dainty flowers planner pad!! And so do my co-workers. I may have to place another order and gift them one! I have one of those little pop out brushes. Got it at Dollar Tree!
I think your packaging is super cute, simple and fun. The wee sticker on the glassine is perfect!
I just ordered from your shop this morning! really excited to get my package soon!
Ooo, thank you!
@@BayleeJae Order made it in okay everything is amazing! love your art work already! going to buy a frame and put it up!
Ecoenclose custom box sizes are pretty affordable per box! :D and I believe you can add designs to them too but I’m not sure how much the prices increase
i love your blogs so much!
Love this vlog style
omg ! when u were stuck in the airport !! I was stuck in the plane on my way to Vancouvers!!! smalll world huh ! I was in the morning doe !
haha giiirl I feel you! four yrs ago slept in toronto on the airport cause the onsite hotel was fully booked. 😅
Congratulations!!! 🎊🎈🎉🍾
You’ve come so far, I remember being in 2015 looking At your art room supplies tour and always being so amazing at everything you do for everyone.
the green outfit is so cute!
It’s so busy on RUclips this morning, at least five videos just appeared back to back! Sorry, I’m busy with Baylee! 💜
Ooooooo a central vac!!! My parents put one in when they built their house so that's what I grew up on. I miss that thing so much!!
Love your channel 💕
LOL seeing all that snow at the airport had me like yup! She is moving up there with Elsa and Olof. Happy you are getting such a wonderful house. Glad your happy!
I'm ready! ☃️❄ 😆
Man! Sucks that you got stuck in Calgary with our freak winter storm. We're having another BEAUTIFUL snowy day here again today. But I'm excited things are coming together for your move!
what part of calgary do u live? how much snow did u get?? My house we got 22cm
@@bobbigroves1102 I just barely live in the SE part of the city. As for how much, I didn't check the actual amount but it was close to a foot by the time it ended. Probably closer to the 22 cm you got most likely. It was crazy!
First off, sorry about all the airport stress 😩😩 Also thanks for the laughing cow cheese reminder. I need to get some of that from the grocery store 😁✌🏽
This is the first time I've purchased it in years! I need to get it more often!
Hey Baylee, I love the sounds your packaging makes. I would love an amsr.
Also the inside lid of your boxes. Maybe a handmade stamp. That would be super cute.
Congratulations on your new home. Super excited for you both.
The pegboards on the end of your shelves is genius. The Dolls when you walk into warehouse to the left is a beautiful idea. They are to pretty to be tucked away.
The video of you packing with the pip sometimes you're looking to the right and it looks like you're looking at your own butt. My husband giggled. HE NEVER does that. Lol! Can you tell me where you got the pants they are gorgeous.
ahh yes... gotta love Calgary's weather.. xD after having two sunny days, it's snowing again today..
for the custom box maybe get a stamp of your brand and manually stamp them as needed. absolutely love the videos!!
Awesome you're moving to Calgary! I'm just in Edmonton 🥰
Loved little Midna in the end 😻
i love that you moving to calagry its so weird I live so close tho there
You were the first youtube channel that I subscribed to when I created this account back in 2015. I came back to check in on you and its such a weird and wonderful feeling. I'm glad to see you doing well :)
Okay lovely..you have inspired me and I finally opened my own shopify store. You have taught me so much and kept me sane. Thank you Baylee .XKaren
Hey Baylee, sorry you had such a rough time with Air Canada ^^". I just started with them (just hit my 2 months anniversary) but I do have to say I wish we did better with our customer experience. That storm put out a lot of flights in YYZ too for delays.
yeah and we were only supposed to get a skiff of snow!! we ended up gettting up 32 cm in some parts of the city, but south got very little!! oooo i love the laughing cow cheese!!
What if after you get it in bag, you tie a pretty ribbon around it? Just a thought. Maybe like an inch wide satin ribbon? Love your channel! So excited for your big move!
If you got a silhouette they have pen attachments that you could use to "print" designs in different colors but that would be just as involved as printing with your printer.
You could do a custom stamp for the top inside flap of the boxes!
Make your own crinkle paper. Get a the Quilling paper crinkle winder and cut your own card stock and run it through. May take a few hours to get a bunch done but it will save money and you can have different color paper
On the topic of custom boxes.. is it worth the effort and money to create them if there's a high chance the receiver will toss the empty box in the end? That's what would bother me. 😅
As for the crinkling bags what about having a large sticker to go over them on one side? It could both make them cuter and have the function of keeping them closed. Kind of like an even larger version of the bunny one you use now? Or maybe just another shot of your flower tape from Rick?
An idea that popped into my head about those bags was what about having a stencil and spray painting a design on them? Like with an airbrush? 💖
The larger sticker idea has crossed my mind. I can only go so big with these labels, so I'm not sure how much of a difference it make. As for spraypainting bags -- hell no. Way too time consuming considering how many I use, and I'd be going through cans of paint left right and center.
@@BayleeJae LOL that is true about time _and_ paint consuming! Also it probably wouldn't feel comfy on the fingers either.. 😩
I keep saying Moonlight Knight too! Thank you Sailor Moon, LOL! xD
Love lil Midna at the end!!
Waiting for her treats. 😂
I'm in the same boat with custom boxes. We have so many different box sizes that it just becomes too hard and expensive, and the more we branch out with different products the worse it gets. I think we currently have 7-8 box sizes we use.
My customers really loved when I switched to custom tissue paper though, especially when I use my spooky design for Halloween season, but as you've realised you do still need crink or scrunched up tissue paper to pad out the boxes. It's definitely also slower to do packaging this way, but it's really appreciated by the customer and I get comments on it all the time.
I've also tried a branded sticker for the inside and at one point the outside, and I stopped doing it because it was just too time consuming on top of everything else to also add a sticker on a box. The same reason I've never bought a custom stamp. I see other artists stamp their boxes inside with a thank you and we just send too many for me to manually do that so I imagine that would slow you down a lot too (and just be a hassle).
I don't have any suggestions, just feel your pain on the quest for cute packaging at high volume and not just one product type/size. 🤣
Right?! A lot of people mean well with their suggestions, but when you package at such a high volume, convenience and speed always win.
Hi, love the channel! Just a suggestion maybe slice up the yellow paper and crinkle it yourself.
Oh you did mine on the video! Hooray!
Since everyone wanna be tellin' ya how to package, here's my two cents. Haha! Can you do transparent branding stickers you could stick on your sleeves or is that too pricey?
Thanks for ordering! ^_^ I've tried printing myself (unsuccessfully) but bigger stickers are always an option. Probably not transparent though, because the vinyl stickers are much pricier than the label-style stickers I get now.
I would contact a stamp artist and get a custom stamping pad, they’re so much more durable and you have so many size options!! The only problem I have personally had is finding a store bought ink pad big enough.
What about rubber stamps to use on sleeves and boxes? I've seen people personalise packaging really nicely (& quickly!) with those.
good to hear that you made it home safely 💕 sleeping at the airport or train station is sooo tiring. oof!! i hope the inprnt invite made it safely to you and all works out! :))
i think the glasine bags & thank you cards & custom packaging tapes are a great combination. it gives you the best flexibility because you can more easily update the designs and the things you need to order custom made can be bought in much smaller quantities/need less storage space than a huge order of several sizes of custom printed boxes.
You can get colored glassine sleeves. But the tissue paper looks easier for you instead of having to put things into the bag that barely fit
You could crinkle up the tissue paper as box filling. Since you’re not using it to wrap up products. Plus it will be less to pack for the move.
I will be using it for my packing my belongings for the move. It won't go to waste.
$10.50 for a sandwich! Damn and I thought Australia's prices were bad! Also I first thought the sandwich was a year out of date untiul I relaised that 4/21 means 21st April and not April 2021 haha!
Yeah, airports are pricey!
About the custom boxes, I don’t know if you’ve explored the idea of stamping the inside top! Clearly not the same as printed, but it’s a cute, cheap customizable option :)
Edit: Ohh at 12:30 you sorta mention it lol
U should do sage green tissue paper with white crinkle paper
A few years ago I also slept at the Calgary airport due to a cancelled flight 😩 It sounds like your inspection went well though! My grandfather is missing a couple of his fingers and he used to do the same kind of jokes as your inspector 😂
Happy early birthday Baylee's mom!
You might consider a ink stamps for the boxes? then you could buy the cheaper plain boxes but decorate them.
I am sure there is a box factory somewhere in Canada that will print on the boxes for you. They should be able to do any size and any design. I work for a cardboard factory here in the UK so I imagine there must be something similar in Canada
I have gotten quotes from a handful of Canadian companies and the prices are very high.
If you have a shredder, could you shred the extra tissue paper until you move? Oh and green is definitely your color. You looked stunning in the last segment.
I love your pony tale and forest green is your color so pretty you look great 👍
Thanks!
Ikea ivar shelves are very sturdy. I had a pottery studio for 14 years ...stacks of pottery are really haevy...shelves were just as nice as when new when I closed my studio. You can get corner shelves and lower cabinets for hidden storage at the bottom. They should be screwed to either each other back to back or to a wall for safety. The 9" deep shelves are not sturdy screwed back to back. If you have any questions just ask.
Just a thought! You said you were getting low on crinkle paper…so you could use the tissue paper as a filler when you run out. That means you are using what you have and won’t have to move extra boxes when you move xx
Maybe as an alternate of ordering custom boxes, could you stamp the boxes with a cute design?
Maybe for one of the end caps on the shelf, you could do the cork board so you could display your pins there? Either your whole collection or maybe the ones that you’re selling atm
I have a different idea for the pins, although some of them could go there.
Depending on the size of your boxes, you can print your design on full sticker sheets and place them on your boxes. It could maybe also double as tape (center) and you could still use your floral tape on the sides. I think you can also get custom rollers made with your design and you could possibly also ink something on your boxes instead. You can also maybe use a lino sheet and cut up your own design to print on your white boxes c: c: c: c: c:
You could do a "Baylea Box" with a custom box and a set selection of items in it. In time for Christmas.🎁
If the packaging can be printed only in black, you could print a colouring page on it. Like have the bag as a colouring page extra
Love downton abbey.
What about ordering a giant custom rubber stamper? You could stamp the inside of the lids, so it would be cute when the box is opened.
SUPER CUTE BUTTERFLY MASK 🦋
Krink color suggestion : the same light purple from the tulips in “Dainty Flowers” (or Spyro’s scales which according to my plush of him are MORE pastel than the flowers more like the witch hat
I saw Downton Abbey theeeere!!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻
It's been my go-to airport/travel show, haha. I was going to start Gilded Age, but it wouldn't let me download for offline viewing, so Downton it is! I'm really enjoying it.
@@BayleeJae It's my favorite show of all time!! it's sooo good, and they're launching a new season this year!
Great vlog too bad the weather made you get stuck at the airport
I work in travel - that’s a load of crap. If it was mechanical they owe you.
File with customer service. They will look into the history and see it didn’t take off on, time stress there was delay due to mechanical, and then cancelled X hours later due to the closure of runway.
Also some credit cards will have interruption insurance coverage for exactly situations like this. They would look at reimbursing a hotel night and meals.
Your going to be a province away lol I am from Manitoba
Ikea delivery can be pretty bad so if you end up getting them you may want to consider store pickup if that's an option
I'm already leaning towards a different option anyway. 😅 Something with a higher weight capacity.
Will the mushroom/daisy sketchbooks be in the next shop update?
Yes!
Omo im early today ✨✨✨
Now that Baylee is doing square prints. Who would like the Good Boy (doge) art print? Because I would! Since it was never available on the shop because of the square size. I was reminded of it since in a previous vlog she mentioned someone requested the remake of the waitress girl for the shop. And the doge print was next to it.
True! It needs to make a return!
Staz-on ink might actually stick to those sleeves. You’d have to hand stamp each one though.
What if you just shredded the tissue paper to use as crinkle paper?
Genuinely curious cause I've always wondered, why worry so much about the aesthetics of the packaging if most of it gets tossed anyways?
Because people don't buy this stuff out of pure necessity, it's all about the experience.
It can incentivize people to buy, and it can make people more likely to post an unboxing online which is free advertising. It also boosts the customer experience and makes them more likely to purchase again.
Someone like Amazon doesn't care because they don't base their whole business off social media like I do. Aesthetics are a big part of social media.
Genuinely curious on why people still can’t let others do what they want
@@wanderlustaesthete4117 Baylee's answer brought up a lot of interesting perspectives about the packaging that I (and I'm sure many others) had never thought of. No need for the sarcastic reply, I've never run a shop so yea, it was a genuine question to become more educated.
@@BayleeJae never thought about it that way, I had always just thought packaging and how it plays into profit. Interesting to know, thanks!
Have a stamp printed for your boxes?
The view out the window would have me entertained the whole time! Lol
The weather here has been awful!!
IKEA has some black shelves that might suit your needs, the shelves can handle quite a bit of weight. Or…ooorrr 😁you could go with the standard metal shelves you can get almost anywhere and those shelves can handle so much weight then you wouldn’t have to worry what you’re putting on them.
I'm eyeing up some of those standard metal shelves on Uline. They have some called "record storage shelves" which are designed for heavy boxes of paper, and the weight limit is astronomically high. They are also a cute tan colour. It would be way less work than doing a stain or paint wash on the IVAR. My books and notepads are so insanely heavy, so I do worry about the IVAR a bit.
So I take naps before class cause I gotta wake up at 5am. So I was you know taking my nap in a padded bench In the hall. As always. AND SOMEONE THOUGHT I WAS A HOMELESS PERSON 😂😂😂 they were going to call security on me. I was like ok guys I go here lololol. I was really rocking that homeless chic apparently.
If you're not using the tissue paper anymore, you could shred it and use it as crinkle paper for the next update!
instead of printing on the sleeves maybe you could try some kind of a stamp? it could even lead to a cool video doing those pretty flowery carved rubber stamps would be so cuuuute 😍 😍
All soaps should come with a scent free option, and soaps in hotels should 100% ALWAYS be scent free, you don't know what people are allergic too or what could trigger migraines or other issues.
totally agree.
when we had a class trip to slovenia in 6th grade, on our way back the plane had some kind of mechanical malfunction, and we ended up sitting in the plane on the ground for like four hours when the flight would only have been three, and they even did the meal service for the flight and everything, and then eventually they were like never mind, go stay in a hotel overnight and we'll try again tomorrow. can't even imagine how stressful that was for our teacher who was in that situation with almost 30 12-year-olds
Happy birthday, Ch!
This video had a distinct lack of bebes. I would like to lodge a complaint (the complaints department is bebes)
Just an idea on the crincle paper situation: cut up some of your tissue paper in strips and crincle it up? 😁
You could make krinkle paper with your leftover tissue. Chop it up with your guillotine cutter, just an idea😊
Mam doesn’t watch, you can show her things here. ☺️ So glad the inspection went well and you finally made it home! It will all be worth it once you are living in your beautiful new house! 😃
ah the joys of canadian weather lol
And if you use stamps ???
I saw on minute 7:15 you were planning to stop using the tissue paper and needed more crinkle paper. To not waste the remaining tissue paper you can shred the tissue paper to be crinkle paper
Was gonna say the same thing! Accordion fold the tissue paper then snip it to create crink!
It would not have the zig zag of crinkle. Even crumpled up, the shreds would have way less air pockets than crinkle. The tissue would be better off being crumpled without being shredded first. It won't be going to waste though. I will be using it for packing my belongings for our upcoming move.
Sorry if I missed if you already said this or if someone already asked this, but how close is the closest chitchats from your new place?
Just a little farther than it is now.
Question for you: when you do a digital download, how do keep track of someone stealing your download and claim it as their own? I know this is big problem so I wonder how you would handle that and don’t want to have happen to you or someone else ♥️😊
I wouldn't know unless someone alerted me to it. It's always a risk with digital downloads. I think it's worth the risk because the items basically cost me $0. It's pure profit, aside from the $10/mo I pay for the app that handles the downloads. The rewards outweigh the risks.
@@BayleeJae Ahh that makes sense, thanks for explaining ♥️👌
Looking at boxes for my business. Do you still use Uline or something different? What were your thoughts on Uline
I use The Packaging Company now. Uline is fast and convenient. Honestly, they are better than The Packaging Company since Uline actually has stuff in stock.
@@BayleeJae I'll have to check them out. My business is still small but I'm trying to up my packaging game. I'm in the US and USPS is so expensive 😂
Does a dollar store have the crinkle paper till you move??
I've never seen it there.
