It might have been the air mattress. The vinyl can absorb the cold and it does not disperse the heat from your body. I would suggest investing in an air mattress topper if you're cold weather camping. I also learned this the hard way! ❤️❤️
So nice with camping, where I live in Sweden, it is over thirty degrees Celsius today so it would be cozy with camping by a lake where you can swim. In addition to campsites, we have something called the right of public access, so we can camp freely in nature for 24 hours if we do not disturb anyone, which is great.
The right to roam is usually only limited to 1-2 nights if you're on someone's land and close to their property. Camping in the forest or hiking etc no one cares about it as long as you don't disturb the place or leave litter etc.
Yesterdays news has me big sad but after seeing so many social media statuses saying “if you need to go camping and live somewhere where you’re not allowed to camp I can help you go camping” this is actually really funny and the perfect video to lift my spirits 🤣❤️

Telling someone to vote is really off putting with something like this. We did vote we have everything where we need it and they aren’t doing their job. You can’t vote out the Supreme Court and the lawmakers in power currently aren’t making any moves to remove them or add seats to the court.

Suddenly I started minding all the things that never used to bother me, and getting a good night's sleep on the ground became nigh impossible!

Gorgeous camping! I love camping so much but my health has been going downhill and it’s not something that I can do in a tent anymore. We tried an otentik last year and it was fantastic but $100 a night compared to $20 makes it hard to do often. My dream would be to get a camper and to show my son more of the Canada I love. Plus I have never camped outside of Manitoba!
Oh my gosh. I was having so much nostalgia watching your camping. I think you were in sites next to the one that my kids and I camped in at least 3 or 4 times. We've since moved, so won't probably ever go back there. I was kind of laughing when you were looking for the beach, we did the same thing the first time - walked everywhere looking for the path down. It is in a semi not intuitive to find and the signage isn't the greatest. Aww thank you for letting me go down memory lane.
Hi baylee u can just paint the nail heads with white paint may need a few coats depending on the acrylic paint u need have u packed ur paints awaya other wise u can buy a tester paint at ur local hardwear shop i hope this helps

Was that Golden Ears Park? Alouette Lake? We used to go camping all the time there. Behind one of the camp spots there is a hidden spring. Its a huge hole you climb down and there is an underground spring you can go into and enjoy. It has some of the magic mud you wanna rub all over your body like a spa treatment lol. And yes, that hill coming back up from the lake is a killer.

Hey Baylee. How about you move all the things remaining in your kitchen into one or two cabinets or drawers that way when it's time to fully go you know everything is already together.
I know what the packing feels like waaaay too well. The house my husband and I are currently living in is the longest we have stayed in a single house since we have been together. Which is saying a lot because we have been together nearly 9 years and we have lived in this place nearly 1 year and 7 months... we move every 6 to 8 months. So much that I keep our boxes from every move.. when we moved into this house it was the first time in a few years I threw away our boxes. I like to think I’m a “professional” packer at this point. And we are planning another move at the end of this year again.
I see you drink bubbly water 🤣. I drink it too. My daughter got a hold of a can and was disgusted. She calls them A CAN OF LIES hahahaha. Never thought about adding alcohol to it lol. Glad your moving day is coming up soon.
I never used to like it, but I got into Nude/Pyur/Nutrl which made me like it more. I mainly only drink it with booze since I prefer regular water otherwise.

It was definitely the air mattress. We only had an extra blanket as a topper, and I could feel the cold air seeping up through the mattress.

Make sure you put a thick blanket/comforter on your air mattress to lay on - makes a huge difference!

That and the real estate market here is too competitive and overpriced and you get more bang for your buck in a lot of other cities, Calgary included.

Tip: double skewer the kabobs to prevent the items turning as you go to flip.
TIP: Spray WD40 on the sticky residue, let it sit a bit and wipe off! Much quicker and easier than goo gone 😉
