Introducing the AlphaTheta OMNIS-DUO Portable All-in-One DJ System
The battery powered OMNIS-DUO is the world’s first all-in-one DJ system with Bluetooth®/MD audio output and is ideal for throwing DJ parties anywhere, anytime
January 25, 2024: AlphaTheta Corporation today announces the new AlphaTheta brand, leveraging the experience the company has built under the Pioneer DJ brand. Additionally, the company announced it is releasing the OMNIS-DUO, the perfect portable setup for throwing DJ parties with friends anytime, anywhere.
Grab your DJ setup, gather your friends, find a place to hang out, and get the party started with the OMNIS-DUO. Built to be totally portable, the all-in-one DJ system is lightweight and compact enough to fit in a good-sized backpack. It’s easy to set up and enjoy an authentic DJ experience in any location - even outside - thanks to the Bluetooth®/MD audio output function, battery power, 2-deck plus mixer interface, and touchscreen. Whether it’s a party at the beach, in a park, or even from a vehicle, laptop and cables aren’t required, meaning there are no limitations.
To help enhance crowd involvement, the OMNIS-DUO’s Bluetooth audio input function allows users to give friends access to play their favorite track from a smartphone. All the unit’s effects can be applied to the Bluetooth audio and there’s a choice of other input options. This all-in-one DJ system lets users open the party to everyone and create unity through music. Its design adopts a distinctive indigo color, inspired by the versatility of denim jeans, so it looks at home in professional venues and casual environments.
Since the introduction of the CDJ-500 in 1994, we’ve been making products with cutting-edge technology to help DJs excel. Now looking to the future, AlphaTheta is committed to growing with the community of people who are connected by a passion for music and its culture.

    WAVE-EIGHT
January 25th, 2024: AlphaTheta Corporation announces the new AlphaTheta brand, leveraging the experience they’ve built under the Pioneer DJ brand. As they begin this journey, they’re releasing the WAVE-EIGHT, a portable wireless DJ speaker that enables DJs to effortlessly set up and perform in unimaginable places.
The WAVE-EIGHT helps users/DJs bring the vibes to any party. With its SonicLink ultra-low-latency wireless technology, users can set up quickly and easily, then DJ without cables, something that has not been practical before due to sound delay experienced using Bluetooth®/MD.
The WAVE-EIGHT delivers professional sound quality, even when using it outdoors thanks to the speaker’s high level of sound pressure and rich bass reproduction. Users can combine multiple WAVE-EIGHT speakers wirelessly to suit the party and venue size, with easy-to-understand sound modes available at the flick of a switch, that allow users to find the right musical vibe.
Having a party in an adventurous location? Whether it’s next to a lake, on a mountain, or in the backyard, the WAVE-EIGHT is the ideal portable sound solution. With an 8-hour battery life, the IPX4-rated, waterproof WAVE-EIGHT has built-in casters and an extendable handle making it easy to transport, set up, and play in any conditions.

I brought 2 of the Wave 8 speakers for anywhere outside ceremonies/ cocktail hour etc and let me say they work great when you think about what they do without wireless add ons. Only thing is they do have some weight. Great to see you my friend

Brian, I've been following you on here for around 13 years. You were one of the first personalities I encountered when I got into DJing and learning from the best on RUclips. It's so very nice to see you randomly reviewing a brand new product that I had searched RUclips for.

That's crazy. Never seen you with a first look review ever. Interesting

The Omnis-Duo seems great, but they missed the price point at $1,500. Probably should be around $1,000/$1,100 based on the Denon Prime Go. For the Wave-Eight I love the wireless transmission of the sonic link, but the speaker is just.....ugly as F. Give me something to cover that front. The everse 8 is just so much smaller/lighter; If I was going 26lbs and that size I'm going Everse 12. Great review Brian!

I know you’ve held off from the denon and engine DJ offerings. As a prime go owner this doesn’t hold a candle to the prime go.
Super awesome that you got a first look tho! Love it!

As far as I can tell this doesn’t have a screen keyboard to search songs. You can’t create temporary crates. It doesn’t have auto sync. I’m not sure if you can sort by BPM, title, length, etc. The Denon prime go has all these features plus streaming services. I don’t see this as a Denon prime go killer. I’ve heard the prime series has built in Bluetooth but they haven’t unlocked that feature. I hope it’s the next update.

Yes it does have a keyboard on screen, and of course you can sort tracks. One thing that's missing though is key change.

So I was thinking of buying two wave 8 speakers for wireless Purposes or karaoke. If I use my QSC as a left speaker then wave 8 as the right the other would go wireless in the back of the room? I would have to jump my left qac off of the right speaker wave 8? Is it worth it? I use 3 QSC K 8.2 right now. Can't find a good wireless system for the speaker In the back of room.

This is rekordbox in a smaller standalone. I feel this is more in competition with the MSP (at twice the price). The MSP will read rekordbox playlists. I'm not sure the Omnis-Duo would do the same for EngineDj playlists. Great vid Brian, but I'm out, for the time being at least.

pioneer should have made it just like their existing controllers or better yet a small modular device that plugs into androids/iphone to let you do all of that (any type of music file, wireless connections, etc..)but existing pioneer design jog wheel, touch screen display, buttons, knobs etc..

    • @groovindj
      @groovindj 8 месяцев назад +1

Not "on it", no - because it has its own onboard OS. You can certainly connect it to a computer and map it though. No native support yet - it's way too early for that.

Question? I have two of the Everse Eights. When you connect a microphone to one of the Everse, the vocals do not come through to the second paired speaker. Is this something the new wave-eight will do?

You will have to run an XLR from one to the other. Mix out into one of the inputs on the other Everse.

@@josholave3853 yes that’s what I’m doing now but I’m using the Xvive U3 wireless. That’s why I’m not looking to upgrade unless the new wave is able to accomplish this without the wireless for the microphones.

Wave eight = looks like shit (imo), the EV Everse's and Mackie Thump Go looks more stylish for a wedding ceremony. Btw who would trust bluetooth connection between phonecontroller in that situation, and the "fancy" speaker SonicLink is in the 2,4GHz freq range. DJing with youtube (low quality) files via BT is fine for the bedroom dj. No wonder these products is NOT called "Pioneer DJ".
