I used to literally chunk my cymbals during our shows. Pieces flying everywhere. They would make awesome sounds after they were broken like slightly open hi hats and chinas. We would save the broken cymbals for the studio because they sounded so unique.

Say what you want about David but that dude wrote some killer drum tracks and had such amazing groove with Korn. Not bagging on Ray, he is obviously an AMAZING drummer. But you cant say that when David and Head left Korn even remotely sounded the same. That being said...... KILLER COVER BRO!!!!!!
David and Fieldy laid down the percussive groove that was the foundation of their sound, and when David left they kind of lost that groovy chemistry that was so important to their sound. Imo Fieldy really lost his tone around when David left too
I like that is your take when while this song is great is pretty basic drum wise. Adding the producer for Follow made David strip down his drum parts and they feuded throughout the whole album process which you know was in interviews on various drum magazines. Maybe try another song to try and take Ray down. Both are great and better than all of us.

Shows how creative and unique for this band was David. Ray is a great drummer but he doesn't create very unique drum parts.
Thank god someone else sees that. David had his own sound which fitted Korn. Ray is just a hired drummer playing metal style drums
