One of my favorite campaigns was only using Battanian Wildlings and Fian Champions. It was a lot of fun, Fian tore them apart at ranged and Wildlings would javelin what was left and if there were any hold outs the Wildlings were just good enough in melee to overwhelm them
I finally played Bannerlord for the first time a couple weeks ago. Started the mainline quest to save my brother and sister. Took like 90 mins. Shortly after, my little sister grows of age and joins my army. She has absolute top-tier weapons, armor horse and horse armor. Her helmet costs over 100K, horse armor 60K, horse 20K, sword over 20K, chest armor 100Kish. So less than 2 hours in to playing I was in maxxed out gear.
Bro, I'd like to see some more of this campaign. No one has made a thorough video of farming throwing skill. For yourself an companions. I'd like to see the process of taking a companion an Making them a badass
I actually went full tilt into throwing this run and while javelins are not my personal favorite for having any semblance of *actual range* they make up for it in damage.
In Rome 2, the javelin throwing arc was perfect for siege defenses. You would let the opponent on to the walls, then sit on the ground inside at the bottom of the wall to throw javelins at them. I've wrecked 10-1 sieges this way. I wonder if a similar tactic works with javelins from this game. I'd also like to see how they work in a siege attack. Even from the front and facing crenellations, I bet they'd be much more effective than archers. I don't know that we really saw that in action, but got a taste here. 1:00:12
@@Valchrist1313If you crack the walls during a siege you can absolutely skim them at AI infantry just over the rubble. Its easier while mounted but they're almost always blocking so i prefer to send the archers on the wall into the stratosphere instead. If you cover a javelin squad with some archer fire to let them get in close, they'll do some work.
@swampstyle Kit em out with javelins or daggers, whichever you prefer, and go slam some hideouts with just you and them. if you tell them to follow and fire at will, they'll go nuts. Just make sure to lead them over any missed shots so they restock
Instead of charge use engage to keep your troops in a cohesive line, dont use shield wall as it prevents ranged attacks going out. Tell your infantry to spread out and engage, then have your horse spread out and follow you. Then walk behind the infantry. Once in range tell everyone to fire, then charge. Revert to line formation once youre close if youd like but i find a double or triple line spread wide hits around shields and causes a cross fire on the enemy.
I too am all in on throwing my first infantry line are Aserai infantry. The have gr8 throwing. An I use there noble troop. There my fave cav. The Aserai veteran Faris is a straight badass. The are archers nemesis. They chew up archers. Or if you use them in a shield wall holding ground. They are still killing. I also make all my companions into throwing specialists. With two handed weapons. Helluca combo
3 stacks of javelins and a shield. spec into javelins and pole-arms. the Javelin attack speed is what spears should have. alas, true to life spears are too op in games because they were op in life.
you need to look how world of tank calculates damage, then you will understand with range weapon is better 2:24 look at the olympics and you will findout how much the javalin had to be nerfed so would not go too far and then tell me if they are useless they are worse then a shotgun

@@SullySadface I was thinking at the bottom of a boarding ladder fending off archers would be a good spot.

Doesnt it give you more exp if you assign yourself to the role of steward as opposed to being there by default.
Bannerlord has been running like trash lately. I have an 11th gen i9 and a 4070ti and Amy battle over 400 people gets 10 frames a second
