Absolutely loving it myself. Feels like a spiritual successor to Wargame and World in Conflict.
Those end game stats are interesting, the enemy team had a clear K/D advantage however they either couldn't or failed to push when the lines were thin.
Honestly at the moment the K/D stat is kinda meaningless, because it's so dependant on playstyle. Unit killed counts as +1 kill and unit lost counts as +1 lost, whatever the units were. So if your armata kills like 8 bmd2, it may still not have gotten it's points back in kills even though the kd would be 8/1.
to have the Su-25T use it's Air to ground missiles (incl Vikhr) you need to order a strafing run.
any air launched atgms except for hellfires are on strafing run, so are unguided rockets
bombs are on bombing run
SEAD is automatially launched
Plane launched AGMs do not get intercepted by APS
in order to avoid radar long range anti air, keep your plane low
High drag bombs can and will be dropped while flying low
Low drag bombs can and will bem dropped while flying high
the american paradrop plane (the KC 130) can drop off units while flying low
I think they should rework the forest as an element of the battlefield. In the video it seemed like the forest just acts as a bush with better cover and a shorter line of sight. Armored Attacks with tanks and IFVs should not pass that easily through thick forest.
They could take inspiration from Steel Division 2. There, the forest was a great way to infiltrate the enemy lines with (only) infantry and prepare an ambush.

It was fun playing against you stealth. I feel like I had no real plan after you recapped that zone. Those boomerangs were fully kitted out, active protection and such, I think they were worth it

I don't think people understand this is a beta, the lack of US equipment is because the US is currently limited to the marine/armored arsenal, more will be added.
Yes, they probably wanted to show something new and shiny, paratroopers, drones, armatas, didn't see anyone using the ka-52 yet

Not a big fan of the mini map design and it’s orientation, is that something that will be changed? Also, would like to see some way of managing all your units without have to jump all over the place.
Ground Control, truly ahead of its time, had numbered squads and even let you know which squad was taking fire. You could hit an F key to go to a specific squad (you had up to 12), and if a squad took a hit, you didn't get a generic message but were told "Squad 4 taking hostile fire". It was super useful.
Numbered units (with some sort of system like one number for unit type, like infantry, tank, etc., and one for the ID of the unit itself, like 2-1), and some sort of hierarchy, would be so welcome.
Widen the engagement area next time, hit em from every direction to the left and right of the point. those terminators are SICK.

Its absolutely WILD that you can use the Terminator, Su-57 Felon, and the T-14 Armada. The Russian Federation would NEVER allow those vehicles to see frontline use due to their very very few numbers and totally unknown capabilities.
They already have seen the frontline, Su-57 Launched some cruise missiles from afar, T14 were used as arty systems, wich is how russians use tanks once in a while. Both are experimental designs. Terminators were used frequently. Its not like they are difficult to manufacture, they use the t72 basis. They are just usefull in a low amount of scenarios
As for 57s again, they are entering serial production, meanwhile T14s will stay an experimental design most likely with the new Proryv, wich is manufactured in lagrge quanteties, being the replacement for Armata.
Terminators are just a shit concept, cause you waste tank chassies and have a dual gun, where exhausts from the gun make the neigboring gun vibrate. But its not like they are a unicorn like SU and T

I agree. Since the Russians get all these prototypes (including the AK102 (which WAS cancelled) the US should get the RAH-66 Stealth helicopter, the Abrams X, M10 Booker, and the XM5 assault rifle with 6.8mm cartridges. Also, wheres the drones and F-22s to match the SU57 and Russian drones? And why are the marines toting Dragons and SMAAWs? They havent used Dragons since the 90s. Javelins and AT4s nowadays and in the future - since thats when the game is set.

I also love it, after 1300h of Wargame there will be a real challenger! What they have to fix is the artillery. It should be hard limited. If you lose your 4 arti guns, no respawn. The first matches have been great, later in the Beta it was the artillery simulator.

This game would be amazing if the servers actually functioned and as it stands it worrisome that very few people actually get to play the game. I understand stress testing servers however if you as a developer can not project from closed beta interest a potential player base and prepare servers for said player base that will function then it’s joever

As long as they iron out the connectivity issues, this may very well be the successor to WG:RD that Warno simply isn't.

Most funny thing is that ru deck is totally fictional. T-14, T-15, dosens of modern ATGM. While US deck is like "hey, take that AT4 and go kill some Armata"

M1A2 SEP V3 is not a new tank, but an upgrade of upgrade of upgrade. There is no new hull, no new gun, no new engine, so if M1A2 was in fight - SEP V3 was in fight too. Same for Leopard 2A7, 2A7V, 2A7V+ etc.
While Armata is totally new tank which is driving from factory to fire range only. Few days ago some guy in russia goverment said that "Armata cost is too high for fighting in war, thats why we will not send it to battle'
Units aren't as visible as WGRD i think. Like even when you zoom in, i squint to see a tiny truck moving for example.

Yeah it's sad. I'd love to see more of the vehicles as they are so incredibly detailed. Such a waste not to see them.
Vdv is not really good for the fight, you should use other infantry, and the tanks you shouldn’t be carrying bmpt carry the T15 as an ifv it’s much better, you should also have t90m in your deck, they are the backbone. And your t80UM should use the APS upgrade, the damage in this game is a bit different from WGRD, a good example is that you need two shot to kill a transport, like a apc or a iFV as a top tier like T14 and SEPV3

Honestly, I hoped this game would be better. I played some Wargame RD before the beta and... it's just so much better than Broken Arrow across the board. BA just doesn't feel very fun, lack of polish aside. And it's not that there is any big issue to fix, it's just the game feels like less than a sum of its parts.
That's my opinion after playing the beta. Hope it will get better over time and eventually become at least as good as WG.
This game resembles me more of World o Conflict than Wargame.

Can you go a beginners guide on strategy? I sucked at war game, really sucked at warno and am beyond horrible at this game. It's frustrating because I love these games but I'm just so freaking horrible at them. I've watched probably hundreds of hours of gameplay for red dragon, warno and this combined but just don't get any better. Get steamrolled every single freaking time..

One time I played Stealth17 in WarGame: Red Dragon. He went 750-0 points in a distraction Match. Fucking guy
Does holding the points get you anything? Like more income? Otherwise hiding and bulding up your forces until only 5min are left might become the boring meta :(
As far as I'm aware no. As of right now that already seems to be the meta from what I've played. Fairly annoying. No incentive to really commit forces until the end of the game.
If the enemy caps all the points the match will immediately end, so good luck hiding and trying to build up, especially since there is unit upkeep lowering your income as your army grows in size. Trust me this is just not a thing, it's way too important to be active and aggressive in this game. If someone pulled this and you actually lost to it it's 100000% your own fault.
@@shadow7988 It 100% is a thing I've seen it in several games. You aren't building up in your own little corner of the map but just behind your defense until either the end of the game or your opponent fails a push.
I wish you could join games in progress like in World in Conflict.

What graphic settings you have on? I think I have a pretty beastly comp but between the ingame performance issues, game lag and disconnects, I'm losing hope!
It's either server issues but the games might also be P2P so if the host is lagging everyone is going to lag

I’m a little sad it’s the single unit control super tactical gameplay. I just want a game where I’m controlling battalions. On a grander scale, but can still zoom in and see the action.

Can you tell me how to use the smart bombs on aircraft? Tried to use the C130 with maxed out weapons, but I can't figure out how to use them without flying directly over the enemy position, even though the weapons should have a standoff range.
Check if you are using weapons that require laser designation. This can be provided by ground troops that have laser designators or by air units. A few planes can mount their own laser designators for that.

They've restricted the beta for now because they're a victim of their own success. The authentication server can't keep up with the number of players.

I guess the game is okay, but no one is talking about the fact that the Russians get all these prototypes like the T-14, 15, 16, and S235. Even the Russian infantry carries the AK12 which WAS cancelled. The Boomerang and the 57mm upgrades to Russian IFVs... I mean it's fine since the game is set in the near-future but then the US should get the RAH-66 Stealth helicopter, the Abrams X, M10 Booker, and the XM5 assault rifle with 6.8mm cartridges. Also, wheres the drones and F-22s to match the SU57 and Russian drones? And why are the marines toting Dragons and SMAAWs? They havent used Dragons since the 90s. Javelins and AT4s nowadays and in the future and yet the Javelin on limited on the a Cav Scouts and only 4 are allowed at one time.
Further, the Russian artillery is longer ranged AND more accurate than the US arty (4500m/2S35 vs3500m/ M109) without the upgrades and the Russian equipment often has a slight edge in either armor, spotting, or range. While they take accurate penetrations for the TOW 2A (900mm) the Russian konkurs is getting 1000mm and for the modernized version 1200mm penetration while multiple sources state konkurs pen at 500-650mm and konkurs-M at 750-800mm .
In fact, the decision to make units replaceable after a timed delay aids the Russian player, who can often field more (cheaper) units with higher stats than the US can field more expensive upgraded units to match them.
Honestly, I'm not sure whats to like about the game. The interface is too small and hard to read. Once an aircraft enters the airspace you have to zoom out to find it and micro it (there's no air command buttons like in wargame/WARNO). There's no chat feature. No indicators or lines show movement paths or orders... it's got a loooong way to go. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if the Russian government took over development at this point.

@@Stealth17Gaming Yeah I mean just general things I'm sure you already know because AFAIK you learnt a lot of really good core strategy game technique playing Wargame.
Like at 7:00, you just drove 2 vehicles down the road without scouting it and lost them, thats an expensive mistake to lose a Terminator like that, and then later in the very same treeline you still pushed into it instead of hitting it with artillery or scouting it, and then other things later on like you were just not getting any use out of the AT squad in the building on the left flank you might as well have moved them over to help when you were struggling and you left tanks to die after they expended their APS, fought in a range too close at points, like when your Terminator peaked out from behind the building against that big wave of transports.
You also forgot about units a few times, like an easy example is that mi8 at the start, or the mortars that you didnt move after shooting and had super close to the front line basically out in the open, but it happened a few times, and I mean if you really want advice there its that if you dont have the presence of mind to micro all that just keep general rules of thumb, like ok the mi8, not a great unit, always just send it back when its unloaded, and IDK if you can but I would queue that as an order after unloading, but I havent touched Broken Arrow yet so IDK if thats possible, but you know the programming saying, "keep it simple stupid", it applies to strategy games when too much can be happening and you need to react, just plan ahead with some default muscle memory before the game even starts, like you want to know what the use case is for your units while building the deck, not react constantly mid game.
I could go on but I would have to go through the video.
This aint me trying to put you down btw, I just could have sworn you already learnt a lot of this kind of core strategy game technique from when Blitz helped you.
If what I said is honestly not things you noticed yourself, you might want to take the time to go through the video yourself and review your own gameplay. IDK if people still do it but serious strategy gamers used to always watch their replays.

Only thing I hate about these games since the war in ukraine is how they make russian equipment seem equal to western equipment or russian training equal to western millitary training. The "terminator" (name given by russia themself) is a pile of junk and out of the handfull of t-14 Russia made, like only 1 fires and the turret tend to fail and start spinning randomly. The most advanced russian tank is still the t-90 and a bradly can take it out with its main gun
