Yeah I kinda wish woods where more like world in conflict, infantry where next to invisible in them as long as they hold fire and no vehicles could drive through them, gave infantry more purpose
@@MagpieMew I don't think that's what he means. I think he means that tanks shouldn't be able to roll through a forest full of infantry and come out unscathed.
In my experience, inf in the forest always gets the first shot at tanks because of higher stealth. Combine with higher mobility in the forest you can hit the tanks, especially on the side, then sprint away before they return fire. If you are lucky you will damage their engine as well.
Really well played, sir. Small armored unit push and pull is a tactic getting more prominent in actual modern battlefields due to the abundance of anti-AFV threats these days. Looking forward to more great gameplays in the future.
Its just a playtest but, infantry is way underpowered, there´s a huge proliferation of vehicles with limited production such as the Russian Armata series which ingame should translate to much lower availability, there´s too much APS equipped vehicles, plane missiles are really weird, and so on
"plane missiles are really weird" No, not really. The problem is that people need to figure out that the game uses actual, true line of sight. You actually need planes to see the target from their position to aim and shoot, so a lot of the time you will want to use pop-up attacks to negate terrain masking.
The Russian ATGM's in the tanks are OP firing that quick, Not to mention the MI-28 Havoc can fire 2 ATGM's at long range but the Cobra only shoots 1. Deff needs balancing. Looking forward to release!
your strategy works well, but your friend providing recon and support was crucial in investing all your points into tanks. bmpt2 terminators with the ags are ridiculous 😊
i tried to use himars recently, somehow they dont shoot :( any guides? Also, i wanna know that buk m3 or patriot if radar off will they still fire missles at enemy planes/inbound missles?
The less units you have on the field the more points you generate, you only need like 1200-1350 points to call in 6 midline tanks like T80Us or M1A2s, which work just as well as the higher cost tanks if supported correctly
Haven't played much of this game, but AFAIK its not like Steel Division where if you lose the unit, it's gone for the rest of the game. The unit will slowly come back over time and you're able to call it in again once it's back up
It's just that people dont know how to get arround. Infantry smoke tanks in forest, it run faster than tank with the sprint, can surround them, smoke, is stealth and get the first shot etc. Dont base what you see on good players vs noob games. A mix of atgm plus heavy infantry will ruin any tank blob in a forest, or you can use your own tanks to ambush an tank blob. Noob players just forget about using recons just like in wargame, and get surprised by this strat, against a good player it wont pass that easily.
@@SaucyNetworkEntertainment I'm hoping that in the full release the american airborne specialization will get some kinda anti-tank weaponry that can be used at medium range, or at least some kinda buff to AT launchers so that in a dense, urban/forested environment they beat tanks in a 1-on-1 at close range
@@zeldas_her080 most infantry beat tanks as of today in forests, just like in Wargame, you need to not take the tank head-on, just like in Wargame. You have sprint, smoke and the first shot since you are stealthier. People are just lazy and just want infantry to beat tank head-on, when you can literally just run around the tank and rekt it, smoke, ambush it etc. And what you are describing is the Dragon team that is absolutely op in cities and forests. Rekt helos and tanks alike, plus infantry. You can also mix a sniper team plus a Dragon team and no infantry in the game can compete. Or a dragon team and a tow team and no tank can compete.
Hey Saucy, I'm new to the game and I was wondering if the battle would have been different if your ennemy had used artillery against your armor division? Thanks

My current summary of the Open Beta - 5 games actually finished - 11 games broke down before finished... two literally in the last 5 minutes while winning - 31 crashed before even starting uncountable alt+f4 exits... the broken in broken arrow is earned for sure Today i uninstalled after not being able to finish a single game... or even get into one. Don´t get me started on the forced reconnect to game that doesn´t even work and only freezes the game! they convinced me to not buy eventhough I have 2100 hours in wargame and was super hyped from the first reveal on... WTF!
you have very bad luck i am not sure why you had that many issues. most of my games end and run just fine. Reinstall your game if it crashes and if you do not have the hardware to run it, that might also be a thing
I think they should introduce some very strong infantry against tanks, like legion 90 or eryx in wargame RD with 3 missiles in a team, then aps wouldn't help and then only micro on smoke would save tanks.
They're definitely gonna have to do that with the airborne specializations, as airmobile helicopter infantry would be basically impossible to play without also bringing an armored specialization which would make decks a lot less diverse
its a bit impossible to do. With randoms, the match is a mess at the moment because people are not as experienced so it would be frustrating BUT i do get what you mean and solo content will become more of a thing later
I’ve decided not to play the beta because it takes forever to actually start a match because people have zero patience to wait in the lobby and even when we get into the game 3 teammates go Himars spam and don’t capture points and we just lose for 45 minutes.
Meta doesn't mean 'most effective tactic available,' that's a false etymology, it refers to the metagame. If something is 'meta' it isn't necessarily the most effective, it's just the most common thing you'll encounter in your metagame. Like, spamming ballistic missiles like your opponents were doing in this game isn't very effective, but you certainly see it a lot in the current meta. And a high K/D isn't necessarily a measure of effectiveness, the game is played for control of zones and you spent most of this video messing around in a forest far from any zone. I've played several games against a strategy like this where my team had an abysmal K/D and we still won. In particular, I played a game where for fun, I took a deck with only airdroppable VDV units and only brought them in by airdrop & helo, and I wound up facing a group of T-14s and T-90s that kept pulling back to repair like this. I had about a 0.25 K/D but I held two zones by myself until the end of the game. I was sacrificing units just to delay theirs from moving up, but they couldn't take ground quickly enough and couldn't fully clear my infantry out of the zones with their last push at the end of the game. And considering I was mostly using 50-100 point 5 man VDV infantry units vs 400 point Armatas, judging things by K/D can be very misleading.
In the world of gaming, meta is used in two ways. Meta can be used as an acronym for “most effective tactics available,” and calling something “meta” means that it's an effective way to achieve the goal of the game, whether it's to beat other players or beat the game itself. you can definitely win with a bad KD. A good KD with a high kill count simply means you traded well. Nobody judged anyone based on KD. This is just a method of playing the game that results in low losses while still inflicting a lot of losses. my goal is also to have the most fun i can so these types of games are quite rare. I dont like to min/max everything. Airdropping is awesome and i love infantry gameplay

What is your gameplay style ? I find active gameplay more entertaining than the arty spamming/infiltration one, that we had the first days of the beta. Game are more dynamic right now (if you except the noobs that spawn mass arty right at the start of the game and cripple your team).
Thats your opinion and thats fine. I enjoy it so i play it. Also its a stress test, not a representation of a final game. Please get off at the next stop from this hate train youre been riding since January 31st
broken arrow for me is more fun than warno. The way you can laser designate the enemy is great add on plus the amount of tactical knowledge and know how will me you win Idk but people like you will probably spam units until win type. Broken arrow kinda stopped it since you have limitations on how many units u can spend. Funny enough the infantry can use AT against helicopters in Broken arrow while Warno doesn't until it lands
Heavy tanks traveling through forests as if they were dismounted infantry is really strange.
They are slow af in the forest though

I agree, they should not be able to move as agile or fight as effectively in the forest as they did here
In my experience, inf in the forest always gets the first shot at tanks because of higher stealth. Combine with higher mobility in the forest you can hit the tanks, especially on the side, then sprint away before they return fire. If you are lucky you will damage their engine as well.
