It’s another time of the year. One need to set goals and take a bold step in achieving them. Remember success are not obtained overnight. It’s comes in installments; you get a little bit today a little bit tomorrow until the whole package is given out the day you procrastinate you lose that day of success.
I don’t know if you need to hear this but from my own point of view, you need to invest smartly, if you need the good things of life. so far i've made over $325k since september last year in raw profits from just q4 of the market from my diversified portfolio strategy and i believe anyone can do it if you have the right strategy, mutual funds takes long time but investing smartly is the key for short term. Most of us tend to pay more attention to the shiniest position in the market to the cost of proper diversification.
@@sophiablakes Actually I’m an amateur investor, i have 2 IRAs, I do not like the cookie cutter responses from Fidelity, Vanguard Schwab, etc 7%-9% year on average, how do you invest?
My portfolio is very much diversified so it's not like i have a particular fund i invest in, plus i don't do that by myself. i follow the trades of KAREN GAYE GRAY. She is a popular broker you might have heard of. I can correctly say she's worth her salt as a financial adviser as her diversification skills are top notch, I’m saying because i see that in her results as my portfolio grows by averages of 10 to 15% on a monthly basis, unlike i can say for my IRA which has just been trudging along, my portfolio just mirrors what she trades and not just on some particular industries of my choosing.
Normal people buy in at high prices the stock market goes down, companies buy stocks back cheaper by introducing some "disaster" Stock rises after a disaster and the cycle repeats.. Having a good entry and exit strategy, will make you succeed in the stock market.
Thanks for the update guys. Stuff is ridiculous these days…..we need a change ASAP! Y’all keep trucking along….look forward to the next video! Take care
Thanks for sharing very good breakdown of prices it's is very expensive but you guys have a lovely place very nice and did a great job building it take care have a great weekend
Just started watching your videos. I enjoy watching the builds keep up the good work. Also Jeremy thanks for your service brother from one veteran to another. Wait to make a negative into a positive.
That is pretty good cost wise. Looking at doing something similar but it's tough, lot's of the RM's that have land for sale where I am in MB have ridiculous requirements for minimum building size like 1200 Square feet in areas where there is nothing but gravel roads...
Awesome work guys. Love the jokes and they way you both work together. I too am a broken veteran so I do understand the difficulties of dealing with life Jeremy. But like all soldiers mate, we get knocked down some times but we always get back up and keep pushing through it all. Keep up the good work and look forward to seeing the place finished.
ya that is a good price for what you have right now but there is a lot more to go, even though you do the work your self and yes saving money that way is always good
Not sure if you’ve priced and bought your insulation yet, but down here in Southern Arizona it is outrageous in price. I am headed back home in a year or two, to Nova Scotia, and found your videos wonderfully useful.
Y'all are doing great. I priced having a 32' x 36' garage shell with a full attic this year here in IN. The estimate came back at $88,500 USD. Not going to happen. We could buy a couple of rental properties for that price here in our are even in this crazy market.
Thanks for the price breakdown of your new cabin. Seems pretty reasonable. Been trying to figure out what your shirt says, Jeremy. Looks like a bird head with some letters above it, but can’t quite figure it out! Lol. Always enjoy your videos. You guys are getting things done in conditions I wouldn’t choose to work in! I’m a fair weather kind of worker! Take care & God bless.
Vary awesome indeed. Nice 👍 on getting the place up and looking awesome indeed. Keep up the great work. Okay. Take it easy and have a great day too. Okay.
Yeah that’s not really that bad considering prices are through the roof, 2200 for the siding sound really good really so a little over 30 g’s for the outside gonna look great when it’s finished, lookin forward to it guys! ✌🏼❤️🙏🏼’s from Michigan
Yes the soffit does look good Yes every country is experiencing the price gouging and shortages but we cannot change it at the moment. ❤️❤️🇦🇺🇦🇺👍👍at least you have a very well built cabin. 👍
Well, I've already told you how much I love the cabin. As for the cost, it is what it is and there isn't much we can do about it. LOL Here in the US lumber is so bad that I've put several construction projects on hold. I'm hoping prices will come down after our Nov. elections. Fingers crossed. :-)
I love breakdowns like this! That hemlock was beautiful on your last place. 28k to this point, what would it cost if you bought a house this size? Or if you hired a builder to have it done? Great video guys.
Just asking, have you factored any of your labor hours to add to your project? I have watched since you began this build and thoroughly enjoyed all your work and banter during the videos. Very enjoyable and informative, looking forward to the continuing videos as your work continues.
The blessing is that even though the material prices have gone up so much you don’t have to pay for most of the labor. Except the aches and pain at the end of the day. The hot tub helped with that though.
Thanks for the info wonder who done the screw piles? And another question is .is there a reason why you put the floor joists on the beams and not hanged them in between the beams? Thanks
The screw piles were installed by a company called Post Tech, there are lots of companies that do them though. We get a lot more space under the cabin this way for running plumbing, storing things, insulation, etc. Just makes sense for us. Thanks :)
@@MBFModernHomesteading thanks guys. :-) Got quote from posttech for 32 by 32 house 10k. But i guess thats because they made it as 4 beam structure. Well thank you for the information that helps alot.
Sounds kinda spendy to me. 30 thousand with where you are now plus siding. By the time you finish the interior walls, wiring, plumbing, insulation, dry wall, and your solar and appliances and miscellaneous things. I don’t know you guys. But it is what it is. But as long as you guys are happy with what you are doing and where you are at. That’s all that matters. Maybe someday things will get back to normal. I enjoy watching your videos because you guys are almost always happy and happiness is priceless.❤❤
Hey Stan, we have a little over 20 acres. And we have a running spring along the cabin we are getting tested but we do plan on drilling a well someday also.
How are you going to insulate under the floor, it looks pretty close to the ground, might have to suck the belly in when you get ready to crawl under, if you do . lol
With how expensive materials are for I would measure and measures and measures again lol be so concerned about making wrong cut and try to use every piece so where or how
Hmmm, so doubling the cost if you paid for labour, you would have spent about 60,000 to have it built to dried in lock up stage. Then all the interior work. You saved alot. No such thing as putting up an inexpensive cabin anymore! Sure looks nice.
You guys have put a lot of care into building this house. So stuff that should be sealed, is sealed... and you know everything is prolly better than the contractors would have built it, eh?

the reason it is so high is because and gas it take to get to the hardware store it all shipping to the store that is driving this price
The prices were actually higher than this before the gas prices went up. They cranked in 2020.
That was very interesting like always 👌
Thanks! 😃

i have to admit that was a lot of snow
sealer and UV block will increase that siding life quite a bit. Wait until it weathers for color then coat, but seal it.
