Variations on a Theme from Carmen are a set of variations composed and performed by the Russian-American pianist Vladimir Samoylovich Horowitz_Володимир Самійлович Горовиць (1903-1989). They are based on the Gypsy Dance from Georges Bizet's opera Carmen.
Of Horowitz's many transcriptions, the Carmen Variations were the only one to remain in his repertoire throughout his career. He played them from his earliest concerts in the 1920s, where he often wowed his audience with the "show stopping" encore, through to his golden jubilee season in 1978, over fifty years later.

It's nice to see her just playing for fun. Taking a couple of standard classical pieces and doing what she likes. Back stage in her normal clothes, I thing she's having as much fun as in a concert, though, without as much pressure. Love it.

It’s hard to recognize Yuja with all that hair covering her face, the jeans covering her legs, and no tan, but those are definitely her fingers
To me she looks more attractive this way than in her skimpy dresses that shout "escort girl". Women generally don't understand that making themselves look sexy is a way to compete between them. Men get aroused and do not understand it's not for them. Too much distraction, and now this video opens up to really listening without the arousal of getting annoyed.
It's virtuoso playing indeed.

I would not translate "Marcia alla turca" by "Turkish March" but rather "March in a Turkish way" - because that is what the Italian original means. [Wiki:] "not the music of Turkey, but rather a musical style that was occasionally used by the European composers of the Classical music era. This music was modelled-though often only distantly-on the music of Turkish military bands, specifically the Janissary bands."
Note here that "Classical era" is a brief period around 1800 between Baroque and Romanticism.

Judging from her hair and general appearance, I would guess that she was possibly still in school or just out at the time of this recording.
