- Getting our feet wet with SE2 by rebuilding a classic, the yellow rescue ship that used to be for respawns! I figure since Keen is going down the nostalgia route, so should we.
Sorry for the audio, I upgrades my PC and still messing with the settings
Thanks for not wasting our time explaining the new 25cm unified grid mechanic, like every other channel.
I figured there was already enough coverage from the big channels, even before release.
Preaching
I always figured it was due to said channels getting early access and probably some guidelines on how to phrase things, That being said now that its out for everyone I dont want to hear any youtuber using the term “unified grid” ever again, I’m sick of it 😭
@exotictrash2234 I'm not cool enough or big enough to get early access. I bought it myself.
@@EngineeredCoffeeWell maybe one day you will be! I just found your channel and am loving it, also loved that collector you made, the inside looks like a sieve to filter ores!
Great job making those fake conveyors. They look amazing. I'm so excited about the possibilities with the detailing blocks!
They're definitely going to change the game. Excited for some functionality though, sad not even the buttons work.
@@EngineeredCoffee yeah just placing Blocks is not enough for me to play the Game yet. I need functional stuff like Rotors, Pistons and Hinges. That would be enough to keep me playing for a while 😂
EC you absolute madlad! I can't wait to see what you make once Keen releases pistons and rotors and hinges and automation!
Me too!
Yeah, I am hollding my fingers crossed aswell for partial cut!
Love the little Yellow SpawnMarine... 😅
Fingers crossed! That is a great name!
Wow, this on day one, love the conveyor and the stairs, looks like we'll be able to build with much better freedoms than just the blocks Keen release, I can see a whole workshop dedicated to alternative blocks.
Very useful and nice ideas! You can also make blueprints of Conveyors sections to reuse them later on. Also, just four pieces can be used to make all possible elements: straight, inner curve, outer curve, and three way. Good ideas using corner lights!!!
I did make the blueprints. Just didn't show it. Haven't done the other variants yet though.
The 250mm grid is truly marvellous!!
Whoop Whoop!!
I have fond memories of the yellow classic.
Me too!
You're definitely someone im excited to see play with the 25cm grid
I just hope we get some 25cm functional blocks like tiny hinges and not just detail blocks!
@EngineeredCoffee same here, maybe that funky 50cm grid system mod can hold you over in the meantime
My absolute favorite starter ship. Still build it from time to time.
Man, the day this is "fully" released and has more or less the same mods available as SE1 it'll be glorious.
Imagine all the crazy contraptions you can build with this shit, especially when you look at the stuff you already do make.
Can't wait until the workshop get operational, there will be so many creations to share!
Absolutely!
Right into nostalgia
Ahhh, the old yellow sub,, my favorite SE ship
i can't wait till water comes out, i can just see all my over engineered submarines and ships right now 😂, hopefully splitsie is making a mod that puts ship and submarine spawns to fight in the world like the one in SE1
"Aww, do I really have to go to space?" -Me, building nothing but ships, rovers, and aircraft in **Space** Engineers 2.
We will all have a subnautica playthough at some point!
@AJsarge1 I'm still on Mars, I feel you.
@@EngineeredCoffee 💯💪
@@AJsarge1 yeah i don't play to race to space, I'm mostly on the ground making rovers and aircraft and now im building a compound with roads and separate buildings that have a specific task each, power building, living quarters building, control station etc... and loving it, occasionally I'd send a drone to space for uranium but hard to see astroids like that until you get right up on it
Its the submarine ship from the early days of SE. I remember it well.
We all live in a yellow submarine?
On the world, Where I was born, lived a being , who Sailed to Space.
And he told, us of his life, sailing through, the endless waste.
I can't with the new controls. I'm waiting for rebinds and mouse speed adjustment. Looks like you're adjusting well
I want the mouse wheel instead of the R/Shift-R! That is what is driving me the most crazy.
I'm copying those fake conveyors so I can placehold my own network
Absolutely! Wish we had more glass options.
Jist keep in mind, we don't know what the conveyors will be like. In fact, it could be a very different system to SE(1).
Classic lemon ❤
Auto rotate has been frustrating me so much 😂
The original space engineers had the same bug in early access
Nice one. Just don't try to migrate your models from SE1, unless you want to cry. :D
cant wait to plumb my large ship with small conveyors.
Where you put the external gyro was where the small reactor should be. Where you put a gyro inside should have been a gravity generator. The gyro should have been on a 3 block arm under the rear thrusters on the right side.
The grav generator is inside. I just called it a gyro for some dumb reason. And yeah I moved the reactor because it had a workstation that looked cool on the inside. It's close to the original, not exact.
I often modify the spawn ship
Graphics is quite awesome, what system are you running it on?
9800x3d and a 3080.
@ well yeah that is quite a beast no wonder it’s running in 4k, how does it compare to SE1? Is it well optimised so far?
@@MartenElectric Not really sure yet. It runs fine. It does have a hitch every time it autosaves, that's a bit annoying. But there isn't subgrids, or rotors, or anything to really compare overall performance.
My CPU is only like 15% while the GPU is railed at 99%. I am sure it's the ray tracing and my 160hz monitor. I could change Vsync down to 60fps, but it's too pretty 😉
can you "freeze" things as you build them? noob here... so on a new grid i placed a couple of blocks but then nudged one by accident and it starts spinning off into space :D
No, but you can just copy the whole grid and repaste and it should be stable again. Or use a landing gear to lock it down.
What's next, the original Planetary Lander?
Once we get atmo thrusters, sure!
