The thing about Miku is that she’s a chameleon. She’ll do whatever with her voice, as the need arises. Saiki has commented on how good Miku has gotten at sounding like her, when they want that for certain harmonies, or she’ll do a sweet voice like this for contrast, or she’ll spend 1/8 of Toi et Moi screaming, or whatever she’s doing in Why Why Why. She’s the secret sauce of Band-Maid, keeping you on your toes even beyond their instrumental variety.
One of my favorite Band Maid songs!! Great react! MISA, one of Rock and Roll’s greatest, opening with bass along with one of the greatest rock drummers (making them the greatest of rhythm sections). The genius on lead guitar proves again she is the Queen of the rock guitar. And vocals?! I fell in love again with both of them. Miku can be lead on most other bands and compliments Saiki in the most perfect way. I LOVE BAND MAID ❤❤
I became a Band-Maid fan after becoming a The Warning fan first. I discovered The Warning on Instagram after their release of the Money video. I became a huge fan of The Warning. I started watching all of their RUclips videos. I kept seeing Band-Maid recommendations in the comments, but ignored them. I finally gave in and watched a Band-Maid video (Thrill, like many Band-Maid fans) and was awe struct. I have been a Maidiac ever since. I still love The Warning, but Band-Maid is number 1 for me. I will always be thankful to The Warning for introducing me to Band-Maid. And I still do love the music The Warning is making. THE BEST 3 piece on the planet today!
I agree with you. The Warning are very talented ladies with enjoyable music , but there s something very special about Band Maid. The last year has been spent listening to the greats, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queen, David Bowie, Nightwish etc, but I feel that the mighty Maids are even better. I feel so guilty only crossing paths 3 months ago
As someone who gravitates to well composed and well executed instrumental work in the music I listen to, Band-Maid will always be closer to my heart. The Warning is great I love them and over time I'm sure they will keep stepping up their game and love them even more.
I am a fan of Band-Maid and The Warning. Both of them are on my very short list of bands to have formed in the past 10-15 years that are worth listening to.
I do like The Warning, have watched all of the videos I could find and bought their latest album, but they don’t come close to Band Maid in listens on my playlists. No other band does though The Warning would certainly be in second place. I have different styles of lists depending on my mood and Band Maid is so diverse they make it onto all of them.
Band-Maid's diversity of styles is one of the reasons that I like them so much. They certainly are not afraid to mix styles, sometimes several within one song.
Top tier Band Maid here! Thanks Frank! One of Kanami's longer solos! dbl ♥ Now you gotta check out their song: Take Me Higher (live) also found on *NekoAngel*
Great reaction and again, TMO moves back up to top 5. Saiki's voice has gotten better from her operation and just keeps getting better and better.; Thanks for reacting to Band-Maid.
A couple of inadvertent things happens when Miku stops playing to sing leads or backup vocals. I say inadvertent because it originally happened in the early days of Band-Maid (like Thrill) when she was not capable of doing both at the same time: 1) It leaves space for her (and Saiki's) vocals, and 2), it brings a dynamic to the music that wouldn't be there if she played across her singing parts. Of course now as she's gotten pretty damn great, she plays many times while singing. But this unintentional rhythm guitar drop-out adds a dynamic, especially when she comes back in, that she still employs and is now part of Band-Maid's signature "live" sound. Since Kanami still plays her guitar parts when recording, you don't hear it as much as with their live performances. I actually prefer the dropped guitar because it reduces the wall of sound that can occur when 2-4 "full-on Kanami" guitar parts are in play on their albums. Turn Me On live at ZEPP is a good example of her dropping guitar to sing.
A fan of both TW and BM... BM got me first, and is number one for me, though I have been to more TW shows since they have toured more widely recently. I adore both bands.
Zepp Tokyo is just Classic BAND-MAID, Studio Coast as well. It's a same you don't get more of this on RUclips, but they had to sell DVDs. I'm not sure you can get the DVD anymore, though if you're up to it, it's on the Chinese site Bilibili, all two hours of it.
It is a shame that only an hour of Shinkiba Studio Coast 2017 has ever been released. I would love to see it in it's entirety. That okyuji was my introduction to Band-Maid and I was immediately hooked.
This is my number 2 song right behind Puzzle . I have 13 number 2 songs . I didn't see Unfair Game or Screaming from Band-Maid on your list . I hope you check them out .
Some people think a top five BM list is impossible to make. Based on urgency to randomly listen: 5)CLANG, 4)LOVE LETTERS, 3)TURN ME ON, 2) SAYONAKIDORI, 1)CORALLIUM ! YOUTH frequently flirts with my top five. ❤❤❤❤❤
Regarding The Warning vs BAND-MAID. Really no need to be any vs. They are both fantastic. Both are mainly rock groups. BAND-MAID are clearly more complex though, if that floats your boat. But, The Warning write exquisite songs. They are no sloughs either.
I've been following The Warning since pandemic time, so since 4 years or so ago. They are cool, incredible live and their music is great. But they are yet very far from Band Maid quality (to me of course). Likewise, I listen to many other great bands, but none are even approaching BM to me.
I'm glad they admire each other so much ! Fan bases can be extremely territorial. It's always been that way. The Beatles and the Rolling Stones were friends. Their fan bases, however, always tried to pit one against the other. We owe our idols the same respect they show one another.

One of my top 10 live tracks of theirs. 🕊️
Cheers Frank.👍 Although Kanami has a whole host of great solos, "Turn Me On" is my all time fave of hers. So melodic, so awesome, so Mincho.🤗
Only thing missing is a Miku scream, but her vocals are perfectly timed Absolute rock heaven.
@bryandevito5120 Yeah we need another Miku Manners moment :)
@@GaryHolloway-810 FROM NOW ON I CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT YOU because YOU TURN ME ON. 🥰

@@frankandre4385 Take Me Higher (live) would be my fave song, if not for Bubble!
Still my second favorite BM song. That fn riff is so sick.
Another favourite performance! ... but I feel like I've said that 50 times already this year.
