- Heidi the Ride is the Great Coasters International wood coaster at Plopsaland de Panne in Belgium. This out-and-back wooden coaster has a near identical layout to Fun Spot Orlando's Whtie Lightning and an identical layout to Majaland Kownaty's Werewolf/Wilkolak. Along with the sea of hills, there's also a surprise dark ride section at the end. This video will compare the ride to White Lightning and discuss whether it is Belgium's best wood coaster.

Funny enough to see your video, I was actually there today, and made Ride to Happiness my #400 credit. I didn't even realize it was a near clone of White Lightning! Such different feeling rides. It was really cool seeing kids sing along with the songs in the queue! Also the transfer track area 100% has Mystic Timbers vibes. Just a ride I didn't feel the need to re-ride.
It feels way tamer, but it is fun.

@@CanobieCoaster We did. Heidi was good. Not great. Giant queue. Ride to Happiness on the other hand was a walk-on. No express pass needed.
Cool review! I can see it being different of White Lightning, but maybe because you´ve ridden Ride to Happiness before it can somehow damp the experience of it? That´s something that happens to me when I go to a park and ride the most intense coaster first
I can attest to the review. It was my first ride there and had to do the others to make RtH my 400th credit. Its fun, but I wasn't going to wait for it again or burn an express pass ride for it.
I've ridden Velocicoaster and Iron Gwazi on the same day as White Lightning. Heidi is just tamer.

I have not ridden White Lightning, but I do know I found Heidi to be a one and done. I much prefer Loup Garou in Belgium, as that coaster just made me laugh like crazy because of the bumpiness combined with sudden airtime pops.
Loup Garou is definitely more intense.

Maybe I was just lucky, or you were really unlucky, because the one time I rode it in October 2021 it was running really great towards like 4 pm and I actually thought it was better than Joris en de draak at Efteling

I think they made Heidi the ride tamer to appeal a younger audience and families.

I like that coaster, but it is rough.
Heidi is still a lot of fun, but it's the weakest of the GCIs that I have ridden.
I prefer it to some rough ones, but not many GCIs.
Yes it is the best, because loup garou is sh*t
