    3:30 You JUST walked through the gate and I'm already blown away by the most unexpected thing: the kid's strollers are LITERALLY WODDEN WAGONS. IDK why that is so amazing, but it's a level of surprise and delight that no American park would bother to go to.

      I mean its quite common, heck nearly all parks in Europe and other open air attractions used to have such little kids wagons, however many of them have retired them due to them being quite old.

    We visited last weekend and had an amazing time here. The hotel is incredibly well themed and the included breakfast and dinner options were delicious! The water park was lots of fun too and we all loved Plopsaland itself. My only disappointment was the later opening times for the bigger rides which meant that we missed out on some extra rides on Anubis and The Ride to Happiness, but overall it was a fantastic place to visit and we will definitely return.

    Ah yes the park i grew up with, this was literally my summer care when i was a kid. We live in the nearby town and me and my sister could just walk to the entrance everyday during the summer break and we had a whole day to ride attractions (like everyday during the summer XD), it was never boring ! Lots of memories, we have seen tons of attractions come and go ! Glad you visited our park in tiny Belgium , 10/10 review ! (Oh and the guy in the backseat of the car was "Kabouter Klus" from the Belgian (dutch-speaking) "Kabouter Plop" TV Show.

    On the money saving aspect, when my friend and I took a big trip across Europe last year, we bought a Plopsa season pass. Not only did that get us admission to Plopsaland De Panne and Holiday Park, but it also includes discounts on merchandise as well as discounted tickets to several other parks across Europe. It really saved us quite a bit of money.

    • @marty_nz
      @marty_nz Год назад +1

      I did that too! I think mine is still valid to August this year. Saved so much money on other park tickets with it! Even Walibi Belgium had a great discount. Didn't help with the 5 Euro water bottles though. That was daylight robbery.

    As a Belgian, it's so weird to hear Studio 100 and K3 in English 😅
    Great review, spot on!
    Only thing I would add is the lack of cohesive themes. Besides Wicky and Maja, all attractions are just put there. Great theming, but a Dino splash next to a Castle coaster and a German Alpine village...

    Agree with your comments. We were there the day you were and stayed at the Plopsa Hotel, which I would highly recommend. It is expensive, but the service was better than any hotel we stayed at in Europe (including Colisseum at Europa Park and Hotel Matamba at Phatasialand). We actually left the park to visit Bray Dunes France, just across the border for 3 hours, and then came back to the park to ride Happiness several more times. Beautiful park in a beautiful area of Europe. Highly recommend visiting!

    Anubis isn't a eurofighter, it's part of the launch coaster model, same goes for lynet. If it doesn't have a vertical lift hill and a beyond vertical drop, it's not a eurofighter, all of them have it.

    • @ThemeParkAspect
      @ThemeParkAspect Год назад +2

      Just like lynet at fårup Sommerland, it's a gerstlauer launch coaster and not a eurofighter.

    • @sethbridge2761
      @sethbridge2761 Год назад

      I'm pretty sure the launch coaster isn't an official model anymore. Gerstlauer have just started putting launches on their euro fighters and infinity coasters. They don't have a specific model for launches anymore.

    • @DaanBruins
      @DaanBruins Год назад

      @@sethbridge2761 True, they don't make that model anymore. They originally made this model separate from the Eurofighter. but when they started putting launches on their infinities and eurofighters, a model specifically for launches became redudant. That's why there were only two sold. That doesn't make Anubis and Lynet anything other than a launch coaster though. I mean, galleons aren't made anymore, but they're still galleons and not motorboats.

    But the prices for food and drinks are so expensive. I bought a RtH shirt there, because, yeah I have to 😅. I paid "only" 40€ for it. Without the Mack Extreme Spinning Coaster, I don't think I would visit it again. But there it is...😉

    It will be very interesting which steps Plopsaland takes next. Putting in Ride To Happiness was unusual, both the thrill level and the Tomorrowland theming. Both point more to young adults. Maybe they want to attract a wider audience.

  • @pietervandercammen9006
    @pietervandercammen9006 Год назад +1

    I think they added 'Ride To Happiness' to satisfy adults who visit Plospaland out of nostalgia, or to lure people who want to visit it out of nostalgia but don't think it is worth the price because there aren't enough extreme rides. They built Anubis the Ride to lure young adults who watched the show 'The House of Anubis' but became too old for the children-rides and now they are doing the same for those people with 'RTH''.

    I would say that this park could do with a B&M surf. With that it would fill the empty gap of coasters. It would also bring coaster fans who can’t go to sea world for obvious reasons to plopsa so the only coaster that they do is not just ride to happiness or Anubis.

    I feel duped. Seeing that Magicspoon ad with the Queenstown New Zealand tshirt makes me sad that we don't get it in NZ. Also, yes, I agree with this review. That 5 Euro water bottles annoyed me so much. I also bought that 9 ride express pass and was well worth it in the end. I actually skipped the Super Splash. I did some research on it before hand and there's a special rule as to why it's not classed as a coaster according to RCDB. "These two rides do not have the before-drop dip as all other SuperSplash rides have. rcdb rules require this dip to be classified as a water coaster." Coaster Count obviously counts it because it counts almost anything lol.

      Actually this region is known as the Westhoek, western corner. The trenches of WW1 are not far. This is also the province of West-Vlaanderen.

    I'm on the train back from this park. Ride to Happiness was an interesting experience, but to be honest I preferred Anubis.
    (Also interesting that Ride to Happiness was walk on all day while Heidi had an 80 minute line)

    Worst park i've been to, bad and strange policies and they don't care about their guests, they wouldn't do anything for their guests

      5 Euro for a 50cl bottle is extorsion. In a shop or supermarket it would cost you about 1,20 Euro for a single bottle, cheaper if you buy 6-packs or larger quantities. In a restaurant you would pay about 2 Euro.
      What amazes me is that they allow people to bring their own food and drinks.
