- STOP! This is the Sonos Era 300 review that you’ve been looking for! Not only that, but I’ll do a Sonos Era 300 sound test for you also. I’ll go over all the Era 300 specs, and tell you more about the new spatial audio feature that Sonos brought to this device.
Sonos also included Bluetooth, so this very well could be the best bluetooth speaker of 2023! I love Sonos products and I know you will too. That’s why I’m sharing all of its features and letting you know what I think about its Dolby Atmos capability!

Thank you for this one. I was very surprised listening to the song “Boom” from DJ Tiësto on one single ERA 300. There’s a more quiet segment half way in this short song that made sounds go around my head. This coming from one speaker was surreal. I bought a stereo pair to compliment my Sonos Arc and Sonos sub Mini and it’s so amazing to listen music as wel watching movies. Apple Music’s Dolby Atmos tracks are amazing if playing the wright ones.
Yeah some tracks sound better than others but when you find a good one it sounds amazing! Dolby Atmos will only continue to get better!

I just got my 2nd era 300 and I am pretty impressed with it. I don’t know if I should consider the beam gen 2, to round it off. This was already a toll on me.

I have 1 ERA 300 and I just got my second 300 and I stereo The two speakers. To be totally honest while I do like the way they both sound regarding better stereo with two speakers for stereo separation than 1 I don’t think the extra $450 I had to pay for the second 300 is really worth it. I don’t think the one speaker sounds much less an audio quality. Of course your mileage may be different 5:10 5:24 .
How big of a space are you using the pair in??

Hello, thanks for the reviews. just a question, if i am only going to get one Era 300 for my desktop, and have to place the Era 300 on the left of my display, would it affect the listening experience? e.g. stronger sound on the left ear. thanks.

I’ve yet to listen to any music through my new setup with the 300s. They’re all about increasing the immersion of Dolby Atmos audio in movies for me. And for that alone I love ‘em!
Exactly! That's what these were made for. And they'll only get better over time with more Dolby Atmos options

Does Dolby Atmos still work by using Airplay directly from the Apple Music app?
That's a great question! I believe you have to play music through the Sonos app that connects to your Apple Music.. Hopefully someone can chime in to make sure this is true. Or if you find anything else out please let me know!

I have a quick question? Im goingto buy the Ulitmate Immerseive set with the arc. So once i get them and install them into my living room, how does it connect to my tv or my xbox?
Nice! That's going to be awesome. The arc will plug into your TV so make sure it has the right connection. I believe it uses HDMI ARC port or eARC. So check to see if it's compatible with your TV. Then the other devices will connect through the Sonos app to work alongside the Arc

Good video, I got the 300's and found Spatial Audio to be borderline Gimmick for now. A pair of Era 100 is a much better, pair it with Sub mini and its a killer music system, even better than 2x Era 300.
I feel like for most situations, the two era 100s with a sub and soundbar is more than enough. Era 300s are really for big spaces or those just looking to have the best/ most recent tech out there
I have to disagree that Spatial Audio is a gimmick. I listened to a great interview from Steven Wilson. He’s a great album mixer and artist and he’s very passionate about Spatial Audio. Anyway, in his interview he explained how stereo sound is really the most basic version of Spatial Audio. Where sound is only projected from left and right. Whereas Dolby Atmos just takes it to the next level, with far more directions and placements of vocals and instruments.

@@NenadSapungin yes it does look elegant no doubt. Other question is, does this speaker needs breaking in? Generally speakers need around 40hr min to 100hr to sound best.
@@GautamChatterji I honestly haven't come across something like that for these speakers. But I don't doubt that they could potentially need some time to really break in and perform best. I don't think I'd be blasting them right away just out of an abundance of caution. Great point!
Just got one for music, wish I had gotten two. Have the second on order, but I could have saved $45.

@@NenadSapungin Got it late yesterday and have been listening to music all day it sounds so good. I can hear every instrument and it is fantastic walking about the living space which is very open and perfect for these as it really does fill it with sound-- i.e. not so directional like regular stereo. No ear fatigue after over 12 hours. Two is going to be like a sonic heaven. Pricy? Yeah. Easily the most I've ever spent on speakers. Extravagant, really, but I do listen to a lot of music. Obviously, my only regret is not getting two from the start!

@@NenadSapungin Hello! The second one just arrived a few hours ago. I love them. To be sure, I have a really good space for speakers like this. Open with hard reflective surfaces and they are placed well away from walls on stands and because wireless with lots of separation. I am no audiophile, but I know my ear is above average. Like you, I listen to different genres, but you say "hip hop to country" I'm "rock to symphonic". So, I'm probably not so into bass, but I'm already totally considering spending a fortune on a Sonos sub unit to add to these. I can hear every instrument so clearly. Even music I know well is like a revelation so far. It really is enveloping. An important thing is even before the second one came just using one was great. Music all day without ear fatigue. To be clear, I am not at all interested in home theatre types of things. But Era 300s? Yeah, I'm loving them already! Music! Yeah!

I have the arc/beam 2/Ray, mostly based on the OS and how they sounded in the store.
I wasn’t at all impressed with the 300 in-store, so I won’t be buying one/two. I’m not sure what the hoopla is all about for this speaker.
Don't get me wrong, I think it's a nice sounding speaker. However, I think most of the buzz is due to its Dolby Atmos capability! If it's not something you use or plan on using, then probably not the right speaker for you
@Nenad Agree, the spatial audio aspect is why I bought a pair of 300s. I have Arc, woofer, pair of 1s, pair of 5s and now pair of 300s which I use primarily for listening to music. USE YOUR UPGRADE DISCOUNT WHEN PURCHASING IF YOU ALREADY HAVE SONUS PRODUCTS.I use Amazon music to stream UHD, Dolby Atmos and 360 files. All of my playlists now consist of almost entirely Dolby Atmos songs. You can feel the different levels of the music in songs and provides a much fuller soundscape then my other speakers.
