This is the most nostalgic video game for me and my first video game ever. I had a weird selection of games when growing up, bit when I got the Wii I had a much more normal selection.
Thunder Fox is a classic. Some of the best and less popular arcade classics made great ports on Sega Genesis. Rastan is another really good one that's overlooked. Games like Operation Wolf/Thunderbolt, Battle Shark, etc that originally used a gun play really nice on a trackball. Phoenix is probably my all time favorite shoot em up. Having a mothership level was far ahead of it's time. It blew Space Invaders and even Galaga out of the water.
Playing in 2021 upscaled to 4k on an high-end late 2020 PC with PCSX2, there's actually 5 Japanese and 5 European volumes of these with a slightly different selection of games, I have all 10 of them 🤗
