Hi José, I'm glad you liked it. It took about 2 months to do all the research, grab the material (like the covers and stuff), record the gameplays and edit the video. :)
That's very impresive! again, my respects. And thanks for making this video! it helped me remember a lot of videogames that i used to play when i was a kid :)
In case anyone is wanting to skip to a specific letter in the alphabet, here you go. Also, remember in this video that a game is always listed by its American title first (if it had a release there), then the European, then finally the Japanese. So for instance, a Japanese game (regardless of its title) that saw an American or European release will always be listed under its American and/or European title in the alphabet FIRST. If a title was released in Europe and Japan (but not America) it will be listed under its European title FIRST. Only if a game was Japan exclusive will it use its own name and be listed in that spot in the alphabet. The only exception to this seems to be if the game was planned for release in America or Europe but was then cancelled. In this case it will be listed by the name it used in the first country in which it saw release instead (but will show the name it would have gone by in the other countries as well). Also, a game may not seem like it is listed here, but if the game has a person's name at the beginning of the title (for instance a sports star or the game's creator, it will likely be listed under that person's name and not the latter part of the title like you would expect). I can see the intensity of effort you put in to this masterpiece work. Damn, what level of patience, dedication and love for this NES gaming should make you do this video. Massive respect Sir!!
2:27:23 Thank you, this game has been engraved in my memory since childhood and today I know its name because of you, I spent years looking for this game and finally found it! ❤
Very cool project. About half of the Japanese exclusives have also been fan-translated, so the amount of games without a translation is actually much smaller (about 300 at most). Thanks for doing this!
A colossal effort on your behalf! Your videos are greatly helping me to build my own retro games collection. I've found many new gems as well as rediscovering old ones that time made me forget! Thanks for helping give pieces of my youth back. :)
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I’ve been looking for a specific game that I played when I was a kid for YEARS and I finally know what it’s called now! Again, thank you for doing this, must of taken a long time.
I remember more the japanese games because I used to live in South America and it's common in this lands to have a cheap famiclon for first console with a multicart. Great job I recognized your effort and it was a great experience remember some games from my childhood.
You can't imagine how much I appreciate that you made this compilation, I had been looking for 2:01:12 Lupine Sansei: Pandora no Isan for a long time since it was a game that, being in Japanese, made it impossible for me to know its name in English, I played this one on an NES clone in a cartridge with several games and although I didn't pass it, I did spend hours and hours playing it. Thank you so much!
Make sure you guys atleast like the video, this man deserves respek for what hes done. This is just over a quarter of the amount of games in his playstation 2 video.
I came here to see if anyone can help me find a game that I used to really like. It came on Polystation Cassette. *I don't remember the name.* It went something like this: The game is very colorful 8-bit, you have 3 eligible characters: a samurai (wearing white top and black pants), a cowboy (black hat with a gray line, black bread, white shirt and black vest) and a bandit. You have to walk the roofs and roofs of the buildings and from a certain point, you enter one of the buildings. And the first boss to appear was a Knight, one of those who wear medieval armor and used a mangual (a stick that has a spiked metal ball chained on it) And that's all I remember.
I’m working on building a great collection of N64-PS1-NES-Gameboy/color-SNES-GBA games. These videos helps me decide which games are the best to choose from plus games from my child hood
"That game, is just the epitome of bad. I mean, I know you've played a lot of bad games before, but, no, lemme tell you... that game is bad." AVGN, 2004
2:47:14 thank you so much, finally i found that game. I had japanese version, didnt know the title so it was really hard to find it. After 27 years I can play this game again
Awesome job guys. I finally found "Akumajou special:boku dracula-kun" a game we were so fond of playing back in the early 90s. Brought back epic nostalgia. Will be playing this on my android emu. Respect from Manila.
Zero idea that that was its title, but images of that game I never forgot. We just called it "kid dracula" back then coz the cartridge and the entire game had only Japanese texts in it.

@@SalimPure Because there wasn't any official Street Fighter release on the NES. If you got one, that was an unofficial release from some chinese developer.
Thanks. Known and played less than 10% of these, and I finally found and remembered the titles of some of my favorite games due to this video. thanks again.
It would be very appreciated if someone managed to get all of the Roms together in one single package. Imagine modding the NES Classic and putting all of these in it? Now that would be rad.
You can make this yourself with a raspberry pi. I did it. Cost me about $90 all up for the raspberry pi, case and power cord. I use my Xbox controller to play, but you can use pretty much any Bluetooth or usb controller. And the plus side, you can emulate other systems as well. Anything pretty much up to the PS1.

No way. Antarctic Adventure was canceled in the US and there was no EU version. English seems to be your first language so you couldn't have played it in Japan… Same with TwinBee. Quit your bullshit.
@@ethanhobbes3476 oh wow you caught me I was lying about something I played when I was younger 😒 *sarcasm* I DON’T KNOW WHY YOU ARE TELLING ME, LIKE I LEGIT PLAYED THAT WHEN I WAS YOUNGER?? Which is the reason I came back to this to find these games. It was something my mom would buy from the store that had hundreds of games, these two were my favorite and thank you for reminding me of this comment.
Same, dude. I played these games to death (and not in Japan, lol). I later found out that the penguin game had a sequel, and it's amazing. You should give it a try if you haven't yet.

Love watching this, I've seen it at least twice. I noticed that some of the games featured in the video have some mistakes regarding regions. Games like "Crackout", "Rush n Attack" and "Zelda II: Link's Awakening" were released in Japan for the Famicom Disk System. If this is strictly cartridge games, then disregard this.
Robotdoom702 That’s true, but my point has more to do with the pictures/titles that are shown on the left of the video, it says (US/EU/JP). The author didn’t put the Japanese titles of the Famicom Disk System games, where non-FDS got their Japanese titles put in. It doesn’t take anything away from the awesome video, just a minor detail I noticed.
2:34:02 after 15 years finally i can know the name of one of my favourite childhood games. i used to rent it on a video club in argentina when i was 5 years old. Here japanese games used to be more common than USA and Europe ones. thank u a lot men, u give me back i piece of my childhood :) . PS: i cannot believe it was an anime game (saddly the anime with around 600 episodes its not dubbed at all in english and less in spanish)
@@chowmein0941 In South America there weren't too many NES but at that time was really easy to find pirate consoles and games. It was pretty common to have one even in 2002

Ok. You did more than a great job putting almost every game of old days in one video! But I just been looking for two NES games that I never found in any video, and I was looking for them for years now! I will describe both as you may recognize them so you could tell me their names: 1- A game where you where drawing an urban picture given that you only draw using not a brush or pen, but a fixed image of a brick, tree, cars or sidewalks.. And the game had something like a tutorial drawing a building in order to understand how to draw.. 2- The second game is a puzzle game, a SLIDING puzzle game where it consisted of two levels of difficulty, one is that you can pick pieces of the full picture and replace it in order to form the required picture, the other level of difficulty is that the normal sliding puzzle, one of the levels where you were required to form a picture of a witch.. If you could recall these games from description, please tell me their names :)
Thanks so much for this Video. Finally found a game that i played 25 years a go and never knew what the Name was but remembered the music! I watched 2h 47min of the Video in the corner of my screen while working on something haha :)
Man, you did an excellent job! I was planning to play my old nes games and wanted to make a list. You helped so much. In addition, every game in the video is playing 10 seconds and it made my job easier. Thank you very much.
Been watching your channel since I found this series in 2017.. These projects are mind blowing. I found them because I had the idea to do the same thing, but just with all nintendo games.. Turned out you'd done it already and saved me a ton of time! hahaha. Seriously though. Thank you for doing these. I love them and before I knew that you'd done this, I seriously felt like it was something that needed to be done on youtube.. Keep up the good work and good luck with the channel going forward.
Just an amazing, amazing video. Really gives you a sense of the vast array of video games released on the NES/Famicom. Things I noticed: -Quite a lot of the Baseball games looked really similar to each other (as in having the same RPG-looking characters in it). -If I had a nickel for any fortune-telling game on the NES/Famicom, I'd have about five nickels...which isn't a lot but still more than I would have expected. -So many platformers/shmups on the Famicom that were never released or cancelled in the US/Europe -Interesting that the last NES/Famicom game released was the Lion King in 1995 when I thought it was Wario's Woods before...I guess the latter was just the last North American NES release. -I was confused at first why Yume Kojo: Doki Doki Panic and the Japanese Super Mario Bros. 2 were missing as well as Zelda II not having a release year in Japan...then I checked and I learned for the first time that those three games came out in Japan for the seperate Famicom Disk System and not the actual Famicom. Definitely awesome.
For years I've been trying to figure out the title of a Family Computer game that we played when we were kids but it's been eluding me. Thanks to this video I've now identified it. Thank you for diligently making this video. It's a great piece of work!! 👍 PS - that game is Don Doko Don, btw. 48:22
For some reason I felt like searching the games I used to play as a kid but barely remember anything. I found one (Castelian) and will continue looking for the rest later, the video is long even skipping. Thanks
So many memories, had many of these games. Falling under the EU region it is surprising that most of my favorites are Japanese exclusive titles, with no less than 50 having been my favorite at some point in time.
That's a game that reads your fortune, it tells you if you are compatible with a person, if you enter your sex as the same gender as the target person then the game will pretend to lock up and show that. Oh and yeah, there's a lesbian version of that.
@@marufranco5281 its impressive that they made this in that time, i think people had a more discrimination for homossexuality, it wasnt even allowed to be portrayed in a kids program
1:06:12 You forget about the Europe which released in same year, then a like-little fact: Japan basically can release the game, but it canceled later. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Felix_the_Cat_(video_game)

Hi, thanks dud that's a lot of work
Did write names for all the games in this video?
1:59:32 I came here for this... I thought it was called "The Dream Master" as a kid. Thanks *Virtual Gaming Library - VGL* =)
DUDE, THANKS FOR THIS TIMESTAMP!!! 😂 Was looking for this game since the past week.
@@JoJo-ql5yc You're welcome!
To think that this video's size is much bigger than the size of all those games combined...
actually pretty common for that to be the case, until we get to the CD games anyways.
I can see the intensity of effort you put in to this masterpiece work. Damn, what level of patience, dedication and love for this NES gaming should make you do this video. Massive respect Sir!!
Wow, what a journey I had through NES! Thanks again Virtual Gaming Library!...
38:43 still one of my favorite nes games!!!
Same bro, sameee. Im too attached on stage 5 ost lol
2:27:23
Thank you, this game has been engraved in my memory since childhood and today I know its name because of you, I spent years looking for this game and finally found it! ❤
Thanks for making this, but you're absolutely insane for checking and recording all these games!!
The most iconic of these retro consoles is their polyphonic sounds.
Very cool project. About half of the Japanese exclusives have also been fan-translated, so the amount of games without a translation is actually much smaller (about 300 at most). Thanks for doing this!
Found it!
I always forgot the title.
1:35:05
OMG!!! Played it once in my childhood but never knew its name. Thank youuu
I had a Plug and play shaped like a 64 and a Polystation they were my first steps in gaming.
They overheated like shit
This was the same in Czechia.
@@Nautilusan Polystation amazing console with those 1000 in 1 games xd, they were all the same lol
There was something magical about the feeling, style and music of many Japanese games.

Truly an impressive piece of work! Hats off for taking hours and hours of your time to make this video.
I know it.but not the name
@@captainscentsible1811 hahaha same here. Do you remember the three main characters?
From your description, I think the game was named Arthur Robin..

Awesome job guys.
I finally found "Akumajou special:boku dracula-kun" a game we were so fond of playing back in the early 90s. Brought back epic nostalgia.
Will be playing this on my android emu.

Thanks Jose, this game is really great, I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
Zero idea that that was its title, but images of that game I never forgot. We just called it "kid dracula" back then coz the cartridge and the entire game had only Japanese texts in it.

why is there no street fighter in the video ?
@@SalimPure Because there wasn't any official Street Fighter release on the NES. If you got one, that was an unofficial release from some chinese developer.
@Marienne And I think you are wrong because Street Fighter 2010 is indeed featured in the video 3:10:04
@Marienne Oh, boy. Yeah, you are right, whatever you say 🙄
You can also use the left or right arrow keys on the keyboard to skip ahead or go back.

@@ethanhobbes3476 oh wow you caught me I was lying about something I played when I was younger 😒 *sarcasm*

Same, dude. I played these games to death (and not in Japan, lol). I later found out that the penguin game had a sequel, and it's amazing. You should give it a try if you haven't yet.
Same for me. I got those two games on a bootleg multicart along with a bunch of other Japan exclusives. Awesome stuff.

Hey Ghost-dog, I'm glad you found the game that you were looking for. I'll try this game another time to see how it is. 😁
It was called dead fox in the CD I had
Love watching this, I've seen it at least twice. I noticed that some of the games featured in the video have some mistakes regarding regions. Games like "Crackout", "Rush n Attack" and "Zelda II: Link's Awakening" were released in Japan for the Famicom Disk System. If this is strictly cartridge games, then disregard this.
Yeah, I get the feeling this video excludes the Famicom Disk System entirely.
DotDecorANDmore they ARE technically NES games
Robotdoom702 That’s true, but my point has more to do with the pictures/titles that are shown on the left of the video, it says (US/EU/JP). The author didn’t put the Japanese titles of the Famicom Disk System games, where non-FDS got their Japanese titles put in. It doesn’t take anything away from the awesome video, just a minor detail I noticed.
@@dotdecorandmore7480 oh I get it now

Ok. You did more than a great job putting almost every game of old days in one video!
But I just been looking for two NES games that I never found in any video, and I was looking for them for years now!
I will describe both as you may recognize them so you could tell me their names:
1- A game where you where drawing an urban picture given that you only draw using not a brush or pen, but a fixed image of a brick, tree, cars or sidewalks..

1:35:55 wow, Sky Destroyer melody
Just an amazing, amazing video. Really gives you a sense of the vast array of video games released on the NES/Famicom. Things I noticed:
-Quite a lot of the Baseball games looked really similar to each other (as in having the same RPG-looking characters in it).
-If I had a nickel for any fortune-telling game on the NES/Famicom, I'd have about five nickels...which isn't a lot but still more than I would have expected.
-So many platformers/shmups on the Famicom that were never released or cancelled in the US/Europe
-Interesting that the last NES/Famicom game released was the Lion King in 1995 when I thought it was Wario's Woods before...I guess the latter was just the last North American NES release.
