Building fence is hard work but at least it's pretty level where you are, that helps a lot! I hope it keeps the trespassing down to a minimum. We had the same problem but as we got the fence up it helped a lot. Good job 👍
It's a labor of love, as we say. If you don't enjoy the process, you're gonna hate the whole thing. Its a huge help that the terrain is mostly flat. We haven't had any issues with trespassers since. No foot traffic or tire tracks, which is great!
New subscribers here, we currently live in Coolidge Arizona and want to get land in Mohave county I see so many people starting homesteading here and New Mexico. Looking forward to more videos . Happy New Year
Hey, thank you so much for the support! Right, it feels like something is in the air, where we are all preparing for something. We just love the journey and the peace! we have another video coming up soon, stay tuned. Happy New year!
You guys are awesome 👌. I know it's labor-intensive being out there in the 120 degree heat ! But your achieving your dreams . Look forward to watching your next leg of your journey. God bless & be safe 🙏.
Thank you!!! Next leg is coming up this week, stay tuned! And oh yeah, it was very hard, but it's so satisfying when you start to see progress. slow and steady. no youtube magic in real life.
I know that every muscle aches getting all of that fence in so quickly, but great job! One of these days, those moments where everything went wrong will become funny memories
Nice property improvement! Building barbed wire fence has been compared to making potato salad. Everyone has a little different recipe. But, if it works, it’s all good!😅
@@MiguelNMichellesRanch ,I wasn't saying your video was tiring, the amount of work you put in was tiring, just watching. You guys did great and I love you're strapped and prepared.
@ourrockydreamontheelephant4188 oooooh, I get it, haha thanks! Yeah it's a tremendous amount of work. A lot happened that wasn't on camera. Back and hands took a beating. And you never know what or who might be up to no good out here. Have to be ready!
@@MiguelNMichellesRanch that would be awesome. We bought some ranch land in northern Arizona. We’re in LA so we get out there when we can and we’re looking to fence the property before building. Your video answered a lot of questions. Much appreciated
@edp.1917 Oh, that's awesome! Im so happy for you guys! it's our pleasure to help those looking to do the same. Can't leave your property open for curios eyes and sticky fingers to stop by without a deterent. Plus it's has to be done eventually, so why not start there.
@@MiguelNMichellesRanch Absolutely. It’s good to see you taking action. So many people dream about it but few take action and see it through. Merry Christmas from our family to yours. We will keep watching.
Of course not lol that's a dirt path made by the trespassers on quads and ATV riders. I got sick of them tearing up the property, so we put up this fence.
Why did y'all not put deadmen in both directions in your "H" braches or wrap the wire around the posts? Ill be honest, ive seen a lot of fence built here in West Texas and thats a first for me!
Out here, I've only seen deadmen brace if it's a single corner post, no H brace. Most fences I've seen do one or the other. I tried wrapping the wire around the post, and it didn't come out too well, so we went this route. This is just what worked for us. But, to each their own.
Yes sir, what ever works!! On your next fence consider putting the wire on the side of the post that the stock will primarily be on, they tend to push the wire off the post if its opposite!
Great job im impressed and wanted to know how did you go about putting your post in the ground.Im trying to learn as much as i can. Im next i brought in New Mexico so im like your distant neighbor.
Well, hello neighbor! We used an earth auger, dug about 3 feet, put them in the grown, and packed the dirt around them. No concrete. Wish I had recorded it. But the channel idea hadn't occurred to us yet!
Ok I'll assume the auger was motorized because that's what ill need I'm attempting to fence 23 acres alone this will be interesting for me.I will definitely take my time.
@rodman7224 Oh yeah, it's the 43 CC version sold at tractor supply with the 8 inch auger attachment. Definitely don't rush. Patience is going to be your friend.
Just a little metric nerd here to point out that the 660ft mentioned in your thumbnail is roughly 200m. I'm even willing to bet the wire was manufactured + sold as 100m rolls. (Note, I haven't watched the video yet)

It was a good guess lol but the rolls I purchased were 1320ft rolls, which is a little over 400m. We only needed two rolls for that one side.
@@MiguelNMichellesRanch1320 ft is a quarter mile. We had one stretch of fence that was a half mile and took two rolls for each strand.
