  • Here is my first cooking video! I have made this chili for friends and family for years! It started with a recipe that I found online and then I made it my own! I source most of my ingredients at Trader Joes, but the local market or grocery store should have all the ingredients as well. Fresh ingredients let all the flavors blend while it slowly cooks in the crock pot!
    1.5 lbs. ground beef
1 onion ( sweet or yellow)
1 bell pepper (green or red)
8oz Chicken Sausage (Trader Joe's Jalapeno Chicken Sausage is my go to)
3 cans of petite diced tomato ( l make one of them a roasted petite diced can)
    1 can kidney beans
    1 can black beans
    1 can white beans
    8oz can of tomato sauce
4 oz can of diced green chili peppers
    1 jalapeno
    2-3 tbls of chili powder
    1 tsp of cumin
1 tsp of cayenne/chili de arbol/ or paprika (depending on level of spicy pref)
    2 cloves garlic
Since everything is cooked prior to going into the crock pot, you can set on low and slow for 6-8 hours. The crock pots today run really hot, I mean really hot, so I always use the low setting and even sometimes unplug it before serving to bring the temperature to less than scalding!
I love to top my chili with some cheese and sour cream, and I always have cilantro and green onion and more jalapeno on the side for toppings.
You can make a corn bread or rolls are always yummy, I prefer tortilla chips or top a baked potato for an ultra comfort meal!
I hope you enjoyed watching! And if you have had my chili and want to comment below, I would be delighted! Bon appetit my friends.
