Good guy Viper. Always uploads videos right when I come back from work, needing some time to relax and there's no better relaxation than watching Viper killing the heroes of the Conquerors campaigns while struggling with the pronunciation of the weird Aztecs's names.
When I replayed this scenario recently, one of orange's eagles killed several Spanish siege weapons attacking my castle. I was impressed that Tobasco was still a better ally than Burgundy even after resigning.
The allies are programmed to resign at a certain time in the game no matter what, it is impossible to save them. Viper's version of AOE2 has sound bugs, the narrator doesn't finish his text. "They will be much less of a threat" was the text. There were a lot more pesky bombard cannons when I fought this campaign.
I once finished Lepanto without touching anything, just sent the villagers to build the wonder and went AFK. I don't remember what difficulty it was, though, the AI didn't give a fuck about the wonder.
No, this was before HD existed. I had been thinking that it was possible for a while, try it on standard, might work, but it is pretty random, because sometimes they do attack the wonder.
For this mission monks are actually useful if you build two and micro them to convert both Spanish cannon galleons in the beginning and use them to basically take out most of their base, just careful that the Spanish does not convert them back.
I know you probably know about this now and I don't know if this feature was retained in DE since I don't see any competitive players do it including yourself, but if you convert a stable as Aztecs, you get a unique Aztec mounted unit.
DE really changes everything, the old games units were spread out, stupid, and this looks so easy... none of these ram-only attacks would work in DE, and the spanish had elite cannon galleons all over the map that fired really fast cannons
also, the spanish dunk tabasco after a few minutes and then send that army towards you while the tlaxcala also rush you ... was fun on hard ... turns out that just going mass trash spam works pretty well against that attack :D
1. you can produce villagers there 2. you can garrison the villagers there to protect them form harm 3. doing that also is veeeeeeery useful to fend off early raids. A forward town center is basically the best defensive building in the game (well, second to castles but castles are also much more expensive so it's an intersting comparison I guess)
if you put horses in a specific place alive: nice now the spanish cant use them and we win if you kill the horses instead: damn it the spanish are too stronk if we dont have any horse we dont even use
yes, but the level also seems to be significantly harder in DE (spanish attack tabasco after 1 minute, you have 1 villager less and also less farms, etc.) oh, and after the spanish dunked tabasco they will send that army towards you :3
Tabasco its actually a mexican southern "province" or "state", since I'm a Tabasqueño when I played this scenario i always got super mad because i wasnt able to save my own people :( it was frustating as fuck >:v
Ellos suponen un valor fonético de n para la ñ, lo cual no estaría tan alejado de la realidad, algo parecido a cuando los latinos le asignamos el sonido de la "c" a la "ç" de Catalunya jajaja
Different names in foreign languages happen with any two languages that ever established trade connections. English Naples is pronounced very differently from Italian Napoli (especially the "a" sound, like a Spanish "a"), Wien is not Vienna, Monaco is not München. And Płock sounds more similar to 'Polotsk' than to 'block'. And that's all still within Europe! Maybe the names we see in this campaign were also pronounced very differently, and only the Spanish bastardisation of the original word survived?
I dont think so, we still have native Nahuatl speakers nowdays in México, im pretty sure they carried on the original pronunciation, good observation tho :)
Hm, guys, is it just me or was this scenario just ultra easy compared to other ones? I mean, yes, Biper is a fucking AOE god and can build his eco fast (maybe that was the problem, AI was slow to produce stuff), but the enemy in this map had pretty much NOTHING. Like, right click, get horse, right click back, the end. I enjoyed this, because of my favourite streamer, but man what a shitty scenario this was, lol
That mission is kicking my ass seriously. Apparently you just have to rush them with a low quality unit to win :/ Not a fan of that. Kind of doesn't make me want to play the game
Spanish new "beasts" from Europe useful for war, are the horses! It's so well known! Haven't you remarked that Amerindians civs have no horses besides (even the first scout?)? Come on!.. And the brain washed geek fans of aoe2 will wine again : "history of humanity is not important: only the fun of the game is important. Boooh!" to justify their monstrous ignorance, killing even the game fun! Why just not play Supreme commander so, with all robots, machines and ET represented by geometrical figures on unknown planets with strange natural symmetrical maps? QED
OneThousandEyes: play sc and leave me alone aoe2 fanatics, FOR GOD SAKE! Have you no shame of ignorance AT ALL? I don't need to learn history: YOU NEED IT (and all the gaming kids, and for that aoe2 is a good PORTAL: admit it!) If history is important for you, DEFEND IT like I did instead of denigrating my speech and AOE2 in a vicious sophistic way! You deny that aoe2 designers have made any historical work or representation? Have a nice day and good bye so and good continuation in your great admirable work (i don't want to discuss again with totally bad faith guys, trolling stupid answers to me as always! Have respect to old scholars like me first: what's your age?)!
OneThousandEyes: and you don't consider the importance of learning, education, impregnation, imprinting (in a psychological sense) of kids for the survival of your disciplines? Can you imagine the popularity of this game? In fact I was just pointing out Viper intelligence weakness here with a kind of humor, not of aoe2 designers and scenarists this time (read me more carefully next time). I add a kind of gaming pleasure called "immersion". When I played those games, I was already a student (in art) knowing the basics of history like here for long from school. I'm just amazed how sometimes some schools in the world seem to be so bad! We are not stupid machines or computers or pure consumers only seeking pleasant emotions: we are part of humanity, geographically and historically! It counts! And I'm not talking only about duty here, but soul and real progress, elevation, not zombification, degeneration and going down of level of conscience by pure entertainment and distraction from reality! It's a VERY serious subject by the mean of a very light (tricky to understand: I know: but what is the first meaning of the word "play"? "Playing comedy": all game is a representation of reality, from chess to aoe2 or it would make no sense, all game is in reality EDUCATIONAL (even if the kid doesn't understand it); in that perspective and not only fun, we can judge a game good or bad and also in its capacity to attract the crowd of ignorant people and teach them something true, valuable, which for me is undeniable for aoe2, nevertheless all its weaknesses and approximations (which are easily perfectible: I proved it under other videos of the viper in some precise examples)!).
I knew that "beasts" meant horses. I went through all the in-game civilization description pages as a kid. Education and history are important, because the path in life you or your country is taking are very similar to the ones walked before. Such a shame it's in complete turmoil now.
I was fully expecting Viper to go full monks and put 20 converted knights/conquistadors in the pen.
Same :D
11
The HORSES, lol
lol
13:08 *Tabasco randomly loses its TC. GGs.*
Tabasco controlled by Toplo confirmed.
YahiroYamaha well he wasn't going to play alongside a #clearly noob player

Viper trying to speak Spanish:
"La Noche Triste" becomes "Le nogggch trrristuh."

Good guy Viper. Always uploads videos right when I come back from work, needing some time to relax and there's no better relaxation than watching Viper killing the heroes of the Conquerors campaigns while struggling with the pronunciation of the weird Aztecs's names.
Hi heisenberg how's ur bussiness going :>
Business? What business? I'm a chemistry teacher.
18:20 that bombard cannon thought he was a battering ram
LMAO, You got me cracking
I feel like Cortez should have ragequit once Viper started building a wonder. No man (or computer) should accept such mockery.
Wow! A Hoff fan back when he was in Knight Rider! Those were his prime days!
kloteviolen!
yeah, before alcohol and greazy hamburgers on the floor!
When I replayed this scenario recently, one of orange's eagles killed several Spanish siege weapons attacking my castle. I was impressed that Tobasco was still a better ally than Burgundy even after resigning.
burgundy is a useful ally as well -because you can strip-mine all their ressources-
Yeah, orange is scripted to die at 15:00 (or if they lose their TC).
Good to know, thanks!
Thanks for mentioning that, it wasn't written on the screen.
Love this series. Always stop what I am doing to watch your campaign videos.
Viper please don't kill Montezuma
1am in australia, about to go to bed... well not sleeping anymore!
woke up at 3 AM and started watching your videos for some reason, it's around 5 now and i can't stop 😂
Well there's a reason proncouning 'La Noche Triste' in French is hard: it's because it's Spanish ;)
23:42 masterpiece
Can't wait until you get to Lepanto or Agincourt.
I can't wait him to do VindlandSaga because it's about the Nordics (Vikings) (Aka his homeland Norway)
Noooo...not Tobasco! My favourite hot sauce.
For this mission monks are actually useful if you build two and micro them to convert both Spanish cannon galleons in the beginning and use them to basically take out most of their base, just careful that the Spanish does not convert them back.
FYI....aztecs dont know about horses!!! thats why they called horses as beasts!!!
Tabasco and Toplo sound kind of the same. Coincidence? I think not.
You weren't muted long, no worries
"I thought they said it was fine if they died. What happened to that?" Lol, so callous, Seinfeldian response.
Nice to see that you stole the spanish horses and thus prevented a big th
I watched the emoji movie trailer so you can get some revenue "you deserve a lot the viper", I lost some brain cells though watching it...
Worth it. Thanks!
La noche triste is spanish 11.
I remember this campaign being hard when i was a kid..
Spends 650 stone to build a whole Castle just to kill one trapped Conquistador. Just Viper things :P
I know you probably know about this now and I don't know if this feature was retained in DE since I don't see any competitive players do it including yourself, but if you convert a stable as Aztecs, you get a unique Aztec mounted unit.
I remember when i did this years ago i converted the cannon galleons, they couldnt do anything after that
Til og med på 17e Mai! :D Det har du stor respekt av! (y)
13:07 Does anyone know a way to save Tabasco ? Like disable some sort of a in game trigger that makes them surrender ?
"horses"?
did you mean: *deer*
when your ally is called tabasco, LOL
Atleast he scouted , other allies don't do even that haha
Viper even trolls in campaigns :D
Just as i finished watching the second aztec campaign...
Cortez also was ment to serve under the Cuban governor and launched this expedition on his own
"Kwetzelcotel"
I am Venezuelan, My Mother tongue is Spanish and is so funny watch Viper trying to speak Spanish.
DE really changes everything, the old games units were spread out, stupid, and this looks so easy... none of these ram-only attacks would work in DE, and the spanish had elite cannon galleons all over the map that fired really fast cannons
also, the spanish dunk tabasco after a few minutes and then send that army towards you while the tlaxcala also rush you ... was fun on hard ... turns out that just going mass trash spam works pretty well against that attack :D
w00 soon ill see how u do the damn 3.4 :))
i haev school in the morning biper why u do dis its 4am here and scool staerts in 8am and you had upload and now i have to watch lmfao fam squad xdddd
I am from Tabasco.
What's the benefits of making an towncenter next to gold instead of a mining camp?
1. you can produce villagers there
2. you can garrison the villagers there to protect them form harm
3. doing that also is veeeeeeery useful to fend off early raids. A forward town center is basically the best defensive building in the game (well, second to castles but castles are also much more expensive so it's an intersting comparison I guess)
Was trying to boom during this mission and had way more trouble with the spannish than I Should have 😐
23:46 Ultimate Owned, lmfao
if you put horses in a specific place alive: nice now the spanish cant use them and we win
if you kill the horses instead: damn it the spanish are too stronk if we dont have any horse we dont even use
Traps one unit
Proceeds to build castle to kill it in response
Rest In Pepperoni Tabasco Sauce
Spoiler alert: they now speak Spanish in Mexico
The last time you pronounced it was decent, 11, it means "The Sad Night" in spanish, just as a little unimportant fact
Did they change this in DE? I think you can actually save Tabasco and the Spanish send in an actual army
yes, but the level also seems to be significantly harder in DE (spanish attack tabasco after 1 minute, you have 1 villager less and also less farms, etc.)
oh, and after the spanish dunked tabasco they will send that army towards you :3
If it were not capturing them for abuse of war, you OWE it to those horses, lol
The Ghengis Khan, lol
lol the spanish beast are their horses ,rmb they have not seen horses before
Guys is it possible to change the game trigger that kills the Tabasco ally ?
Love you Viper, greetings from argentina :)
SMART to build a remote castle outpost. That is alpha style.
Throw in walls and a few bombard towers for good measure. Epic outpost
23:50 lmao
jaguires!? that's the aztec pronunciation i guess...
Tabasco its actually a mexican southern "province" or "state", since I'm a Tabasqueño when I played this scenario i always got super mad because i wasnt able to save my own people :( it was frustating as fuck >:v

Stop abusing those horses! Horse lives matter! Lol, gonna be REVENGE OF THE HORSES!
Funny thing is Cortez though Tenochtitlan was the second most beautiful city in the world
Viper may i ask you how do you have the highest resolution?
Finally you know what to do with some horses! ;)
#atillathehuncampaign
México is situated in North America, not Central America.
Bastards! Haha made me laugh so hard :p
si habla lutefisk?
I really appreciate that u try to pronounce Spanish words. in Spanish is tlaxcaltecas. Ty
Bonsaï forest is so cute (and easy to play with)! (^_-)
Geography and history (in fact reality) have no importance!
Zero dislikes WOW
You are supposed to read that in spanish :D
Hm, guys, is it just me or was this scenario just ultra easy compared to other ones? try it out for urself to play the campaign on hard, u might find it is a little bit harder, althought it looks always so damn easy when viper does it.
What goood video

i am a 'murican
But over here in kansas there are plenty of people who say it wrong :P
Lol JAG WIIIIRES
That mission is kicking my ass seriously. Apparently you just have to rush them with a low quality unit to win :/ Not a fan of that. Kind of doesn't make me want to play the game
Aztecs should be called "Mexicas"
Is this the mission where the Spanish build a wonder after some time?
An early attack will slow them down.... My ass
Really dude I too tried it ... It's sucks
