35:22 when she touches his hair/forehead 😣 36:42 and 36:57, it almost looks like Link wants to pick that flower for her if you look at his hand gestures. 47:45 The fact that she specifies "all of your memories of us" ;p It's so cool to see how Zelda felt more shy towards Link, while Link appeared pressured by his role. Then, in TOTK, Zelda acts as if she's used to being with Link, and Link, on the other hand, seems less pressured and expresses his emotions more, even though it's still in a controlled manner. I like to think that he never had the chance to develop his social skills, and the only things he knew were mostly the rules he had to learn as a knight and he applied them even in his personal life because he didn't knew much about other alternatives. After losing his memories and then staying with Zelda, he gradually began to explore himself more. And Zelda too, looks more confident. I may overthink it, but I like to think that in a way, they sort of "grew up" together and learned from each other after sealing calamity ganon and before meeting the demon king under the castle.
I totally agree! Link was never able to gain those social skills to communicate normally because of the pressure of being a knight. So losing his memories in a way helped him to finally open up. I also agree that they grew up together! I think there is one small scene when Urbosa tells Link to take care of the princess and she winks at him (but it wasnt that clear so i didnt add the scene). There was one statement in Daruk's diary that said that he was dining with Link and Zelda in the castle and she said "I guess we are the same, you and I" to Link! Even by the end of the memories, Link has somewhat opened up to Zelda and actually told her how he felt about being the hero. I think no one knows Zelda better than Link, and vice versa! This is why, my theory is that only Link was able to bring back Zelda in totk through recall. Although Rauru and Sonia had the powers needed to recall and bring her back, they needed someone who holds memories of her. Sonia once said that objects hold memories and you use those memories to recall. This is why, Rauru and Sonia had to channel their powers through him, because he knows Zelda best. He knows everything about her so only he can bring her back! I also added the puppet zelda scenes because although they are not Zelda herself, it still clearly shows Link's desperation. Ganondorf even claims how he used her to lure him in, like when the puppet says "Come to me, I am waiting, waiting for you..." even trying to manipulate his emotions by bringing back the nostalgic sanctum setting. Totk doesn't have as much clear cutscenes with Link and Zelda, but there are many hidden things that imply the care and love they have for each other. Zelda even saying "I will restore the master sword *for you*" again stating that she's doing all this for Link's benefit. And then how Rauru and Sonia reflect the Zelink relationship. Oh wow I wrote way too much :P But thank you for pointing out the flower memory, I didn't catch that before!
@@xDreamredits Oh god I missed that detail about Daruk's diary!! :o Also the theory about Link being the only one who truly knows Zelda therefore Sonia and Rauru needed him in order to get her back to her original form... it makes so much sense now that I think about it 😭 I also want to add this other theory, maybe this one is a little bit nitpicky, but I recently thought about totk's ending. I don't know if this makes any sense, but whenever Link is half-naked in game and interacts with Paya she feels uncomfortable/embarassed, and so I thought that in Hyrule's society, being half-naked (whether you're a male or a female) is something you shouldn't really do unless it's with someone who feels comfortable to see you like that, maybe it's considered more of a private thing to do. And so I thought: if that's the case then, shouldn't Zelda be surprised at seeing Link half-naked at the end? And yet she acts normally, as if she is used to him. Or maybe she didn't notice due to the fact that she was still processing all the events that happened. AND another thing that confuses me still to this day. at "1:36:02" after Zelda says "I have so much to tell you, so much happened!" she closes her eyes and pauses. Did she kiss him?
@teopyon6762 hmm I don't think they were kissing she was just taking a deep breath and processing that she's really back. Although I really hope they did after that cutscene ended 👀, and yeah! It's canon that he's shirtless in that scene and she doesn't have a problem at all. The other npcs do notice when he does that. I know that the developers made him shirtless in order to show the arm clearly for the previous cutscene, but even then the developers had to agree to keep him shirtless in the zelink scene (they could've gave him his armor back after rauru and sonia departed!). The way he tightly hugged her and carried her up to the surface of the lake its just so good. Even if he could use a paraglider, he wouldve still grabbed her and taken the impact of hitting the water for her safety. I think that moment when he wrapped her in a "warm, loving embrace" was enough to make him happy, so he waited patiently for her to wake up and process everything. Also, no other loz game has made link shirtless in front of Zelda XD and definitely not a bridal carry. Even the "tadaima" which is "I'm home" in Japanese is only said to people you are close to so it's not surprising at all that she said that. She even says "Oh Link" 2 times which isn't very obvious but the tone she says that is in a very loving or caring way (I've seen in older movies when actors would call someone by their name and put "Oh" before it can mean that they are very happy to be with them in a romantic way, but I just can't explain it lol)
At the end of ToTK when he grabs her hand all I hear is him saying "Got ya baby"
This is some serious dedication, thanks for uploading!
