She did such a wonderful accent in the show. Hearing her, and frankly most of them, talking in her/their own voices is WILD. So cool. I truly hope the series has a resurgence in popular culture. It’s phenomenal. I own it.

ah, can someone explain to me why ALL the royalists and english and some americans speak HIGH ENGLISH in this series...while , after the independence..suddenly ? ..all americans (including left over royalists?) speak 'american'...
Just where does the Texas accent come from then ?!?!?

  • @oddballsok

probably the american public is receptive to this show, because it deals with the plight of commoners under an occupation...much like the FRENCH (and belgians, and dutch, and yugoslavs, and greeks...) had under the NAZI occupation !
To this date it is almost IMPOSSIBLE to let americans and english UNDERSTAND how AWFUL an occupation is during war time (of e.g. ww2, or ww1!).
Only THIS show makes an attempt and it does so well !!

Heather Lind doesn't seem very smart. In one interview she said that as a New Yorker, she did not know that the British were in Brooklyn during that time period. Duh!

Heather Lind is actually very intelligent. I have seen many of her other interviews via RUclips relative to Washington’s Spies. She comes across as being very articulate.

You're criticizing her for not being aware of some obscure war-history trivia relating to 250 years ago? Get a life.
