Just discovered your channel. Great content! Tried this out and immediately noticed the difference. Glad I grabbed a few bx channels last year

Thank you! Really makes a difference across a whole mix when you have 20-30+ tracks to spread out. What other plugins or techniques are you currently trying to wrap your head around?

@@Bass_computer I've been recording with tape and also using VU meter plugins to try to get better balance hit the plugins with the gain they would be expecting in analog world. I'm still trying to understand how the VU treats different sources differently (bass vs drums vs vocals etc). I think it has a lot to do with the transients but I need to get a better feel for it.

VU meters are slower, bass tends to pin them, some people feel they represent how we perceive sound more clearly that lead to good mix choices. Some plugins you can “hit” harder like an analog box, some it makes zero difference. Depends how it’s designed

This is actually mad. I starting preferring plug-in alliance stuff to my some of my plugs, it kinda makes sense. I knew I wasn’t just hearing things.

Likewise! Big fan of their plugins but after a while I get curious as to how it’s accomplishing the some of its magic
