These dorms are luxurious! My favorite part is the winged roof and the atrium glass. Gotta feel bad for the last green bed though. They have the standing speakers right on the other side of the undoubtedly thin wall 😂

Universities hating each other is a real thing!! I went to Uni of Essex and we had a huge rivalry with UEA in Norwich. We even had a derby day every year where we’d compete against each other in all sports. Love this build, I’d have loved to have halls this nice when I was a student!
i'm so happy that you did the makeshift partition in the dorms! A lot of US university dorms don't have that it's just kind of open, but my college dorm did! It's kind of rare to see but i loved the privacy and its always fun to see it in game
my dorm experience in the us was a nightmare. on top of a hill on the fourth floor with no elevator or ac… thank you for this therapeutic build! these sims are living in absolute luxury!

Oh my gosh - thank you for doing this! I'm about to send my sim off to study biology and I was looking at the dorms and the dread set in of having to re-build them. Now I don't have to because you've flopped out this perfect build
I’m in Australia and lived on campus at uni. It was a “college” so I believe it’s more like the on campus experience in the UK than the US. We had single rooms (thank god!) and each floor had a small kitchenette and living area and a small study/tutorial room. There would have been maybe 30 rooms on each floor. Then we had a larger shared dining room and the food was catered. We didn’t really have a rivalry with other unis, but had a rivalry with the other on campus accommodation at our uni.
There were also two communal bathrooms on each floor. But yes the showers were in separate stalls. I think it was four toilets and four showers in each bathroom. The bathroom I used had one shower that had a bath below it. Everyone thought it was gross so nobody used it. So me and one of my friends always used that shower, it was great! Less chance of gross tinea lol. I wouldn’t have used the bath, that would have been gross, but I didn’t understand why no one wanted to use that shower, but it did mean I basically had a private shower.
single occupancy university accommodation was the best thing I ever did, never spent a year sharing with flatmates so in some ways I missed out on some of those social experiences, but I like my things just so and couldn’t do with being housed with messy students 😂
I have so many of your builds in my game! This is definitely on the list. I'm sorry but I did laugh when you tried placing the banners in the study area but it's so well done, per usual.
I love the communal areas, even the bathrooms made sense, but the bedrooms were a bit too black for me. Loved the roofing too, it looked so much better like that. Nicely done ❤

My home town has two unis and they definitely hate each other! One is considered to be posher than the other so they look down on the other one, which makes that one cross! I went to the less posh one and it has a chant it does just to wind up the other lot/just randomly if there's lots of us gathered at once. The other side has a much ruder song about us in retaliation. 😂
The glass texture missing is Britchester bug, so unfortunately it won't go away. Amazing build as always though, really well thought out layout and such a massive improvement on the existing one xD

At least in mine in the rooms themselves you weren’t allowed to have candles, toasters, any sort of open-cool appliance like that. We had ovens/stoves in our communal kitchen lounge areas tho
this is the first ugly building i've seen you do 😅 maybe its the weird american university atmosphere, but i get ickies watching those red rooms 😭 edit: thinking about it, all american universities look kinda ugly and weirdly off, so i guess you fit the theme perfectly. (my words sound so harsh i'm sorry i dont mean it like that 😭)
