I love this. I love small sailing boat channels and you being so enthusiastic makes it fun to watch. Looking forward to see the adventures you gonna make 😁
pro tip, colour code your lines, generally lines with a fleck are control lines and solid colors are halyards, red for main, blue for foresail and green for spinnaker, if you have a jumble of lines in your cockpit in the middle of the night, you dont need to think about what each line is, blue fleck - jib sheet, red fleck red main sheet, solid red - main halyard etc
I hope you also apoxyd the inside of the hole..to isolate the plywood from preventing it to rot again or more. Some even make the hole bigger..epoxy it close..and then drill the old size smaller hole again. I saw that as an advice at some other boat'ers/sailors channels when have a fiberglass/plywood boat. Great channel, great video's, I will follow your adventure.. 👍💪👊
I went to your store today, and I have now watched all your films, great that you are already taking sailing lessons at sea, I am curious about your first solo sail. greetings from Henri Ubels.
Something else that just crossed my mind that we probably should be waryish of; Unless both sides of the mast's rigging is unequal in length, the rigging tension should be equal on either side regardless of which side you tighten. The mast is designed to teeter front to back but likely also will side to side slightly. You prevent teetering by tensioning the backstay adjust while under sail. Slacken the adjust slightly while parked or to a achieve a rounder headstay shape when going downwind. What's more important is that it's tightened to spec side to side and when there's a load on one side from the sails being up, the leeward side should not come slack to the point the leeward side's rigging 'sweeps' side to side.. That's how the pins wear out.
I’m interested in your channel but if crossing the marina caused sharting you need to go slow. Also, you need reverse on your outboard or you’ll be hitting other boats in the marinas you visit. Did I see in a comment that your boat is a Santana 28? Looks like a nice seaworthy boat. Best of luck to you.
Just starting watching your videos it is a beautiful boat and you are an inspiration good luck.
Thanks amigo!😊
Yes it is! The twin of my boat! I love it!😊❤

Thanks my friend, the engine is being addressed as we speak! The boat is a Marieholm 26 IF from Sweden. Thanks
Where did you find that rigging tensioner tool? What's the brand name and how much was it? Thanks!
Loos & Co tension gauge my friend! Someone in the marina lend it to me in exchange for a bottle of Spanish red wine 😜
Funny and nice progress! 💪⛵
Channel also seems to start running! Way to go!!
