This really helped me understand what the different suspension components do. Thank you!
Your production value is so good. Keep up the quality vids!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed
thank you for the video, really informative. Love your videos!
Thank you. Glad you found it helpful
Great vid as usual man 🤙🏼
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it
Great stuff Fritz. Appreciate the effort bro. Do you think it would be possible to dial up to -2.5 camber with the SPL bits?
Vorschlag camber plates ftw! Running my vmr 803s 18x8.5x et35 all around. -3 front camber, -2 in rear. 240x40x18 all around. Running m4 LCA as well
Thanks for sharing!
Can we get a Rotor change walk through? You are teh only guy I know making videos on the M235 and I love it. Thanks for all the help.
When my car is up I will
Just picked up a 19 m2c with m coils, and spl front suspension. Car rides on rails.
Glad to hear that you're enjoying it!
Greart info fam!
What do you think of the comprable part by Turner? They are on sale right now by A LOT!
Liked the Kamaz
Hey Fritz, has the steering feedback improved after? As in, the road feel through the steering? Does it feel more like a hydraulic rack?
Yeah. Watch the driving portion of the video to get a better idea
Hey Fritz, which upgrade would you recommend first between the control arm upgrade vs sway bar/end links?
Control arm for sure.
How have these held up so far?
Good. Now that the coilovers are in they help with fine tuning the camber and caster. The most noticeable thing is the wheel hop is gone
Hey fritz, what would be the best way to contact you for a couple of questions?
Just drop them here so everyone can can learn as well
@@FritzRamos okay. I was wondering if you had any good/sticky/affordable tire recommendations. And also do you know if a 255 can fit on an m235i?
@@sebastiangil4924 Michelin PS4's all day. Don't go cheap on your tires. They are THE MOST important part of your suspension,
Hi Fritz, been a subscriber for some time now due to owning a M140i,I do enjoy your content so keep up the good work mate. Just thought I better get in there first before you get any criticism/abuse. @ 2:01 in the video regarding camber you use the word “towing” to pull the bottom of the wheels back in and thus the top of wheels out=positive camber. I think the word ‘pulling’ might be more appropriate just in case viewers get confused between camber and toe.
Also you are correct in regard to caster with the wheel-well analogy without any other modifications, but what if I somehow moved my steering rack forward aswell? (Christ I’m nitpicking here bud but for the sake of others). The easiest and quickest explanation on RUclips for this is Jason back in the day-

Christ I’ve turned into a critic 🤦
Hey I'm not perfect and could always improve so thanks for the input. I didn't even realize or intentionally use the word "tow" but I should have caught that. In regards to your second statement, I should have used the steering rack as the point of reference. That guy is amazing! His explanation is much more datailed, Physics was my weakest science back in college lol. Thanks for correcting and clarifying.
@@FritzRamos no ones perfect mate, least of all me. As I said I enjoy and appreciate your channel,I ment no offense. Yep Engineering Explained has taught me So much,a very clever fella. All the best 👍
No offense taken, I'll take the help where I can get it. That's what I think we are all trying to do.👍
how did you figure out how much to adjust the length of these adjustable SPL control arms? did you have to take it to an alignment shop and adjust the arms there?
Correct, the shop was the one that did the alignment. If you install it yourself, you just need to get it as close to stock length until you bring it in.
Do u race?
I don't
*This is a direct question... ARE THOSE PILLOWBALLS HARSH ON THE BUTTOCKS YES OR NO???*
Those ARen'T PiLloWs!!!!!
I am in Canada and all 3 parts for me is combined $2000 CAD + taxes
Is it because of shipping?
@@FritzRamos nope, I got offered free shipping. The dollar is just bad :(
dang too far to go for an alignment
Have you found a shop you like yet?
@@FritzRamos yes Nixon is about 2 blocks away and comes with good recommendations. They gave me a recommendation for paint repair for damage that was on the car when I bought it. Expensive. Some small scratches on the passenger side back wheel surround will end up costing me 1000!
@@thomasdiersch1181 Thanks for sharing! Wow! Paint sure is getting up there
