My girlfriend just bought the exact same model. It’s magnificent. Probably the best amount the small cars. The design is a big plus, looks bigger and classier than any other cars in the segment. The Polo, Mazda 2, Peugeot 208 and others look awkwardly small and looks designed that way. There’s no compromise here. We got the 140hp trim(can’t recall what it’s called exactly) and it’s such fun to overtake other bigger cars with ease. No wonder why it’s the best seller in the segment. Did I mention the interior? Thing of beauty.
Taking delivery of our Clio E Tech here in France end of this week. We like the fact that there is a Renault agent in just about every town in France! Getting a good payout on our old Renault Scenic which has given us 12 years of great service. Very useful review. Many thanks.
I always get these as a courtesy car when my adapted Kadjar goes in for a service. My assistant just throws my ultra lightweight manual wheelchair in for fun, once the wheels have been removed. It's a laugh every time I get in and out to drive but they're very nice car to drive for a few hours. Cannot see myself having one long-term though.
Waiting for my Valencia Orange techno as we speak, however its stuck at the port due to delivery driver shortages. I'm even more excited to get my Clio after your brilliant review. I did try pretty much every small hatch car on offer before settling happily with the Clio . It's a beautiful little car with a plush interior and fab mpg .
@@brandonnelson8206 it's in the UK has been since new year but they have no delivery drivers to bring it up to the garage I'm still waiting. The new delivery date is mid February. Yours will get stuck there too until they sort this mess out .
Thanks for watching Rafa! The X-tronic transmission is a good choice if you prefer smooth and efficient driving over sporty or engaging performance. But, if you prefer a more engaging driving experience, you may want to consider a vehicle with a traditional automatic or manual transmission.
I use the B gear only as a motor break like shifting down, so I don't have the break before a corner. I don't like the throtle pedale much in B mode, in D it feels normal
@@zog97xy I know car prices have went up only one brand has came down in price is Tesla. My point is if this review is only 4 weeks old the price shouldn’t have went up by £5000 since then?
It has a better engine than a Polo, Fiesta or any Stellantis Group car. I like the look but it's a bit pricey and I think that overall long term reliability and Renault customer service is a bit suspect. As I tend to keep my cars long term I would probably have a Toyota, Suzuki, Honda or Mazda instead.
I use the official figures as a guide against other cars. While the official figures are too high, its a level(well is now) playing field, so if a fiesta does better mpg on the official figures, then in the real world it should also be better in real life.
BUYER BEWARE DO NOT BUY THE HYBRID VERSION. I bought one in 2022 expecting for a high mpg after reading Renault's blurb i.e. travelling 80% on electric and driving as long as possible on electric, yes that is total BS. The first few months it appeared to be okay however when the temp drops and you need to use the heating fan the ICE will work nearly continuously you will loose at least 10mpg, at first I thought the car had a fault and returned it to my local dealer, they clearly knew the problem before I turned up because they had a mechanic waiting to speak to me he explained that even the EV battery was fully charged if the electrical load i.e. your fan is on it won't switch to the EV mode until the engine is fully warmed up, so local short trips will just use the ICE, so to get around this I switch the fan off until the windscreen mists up to use the EV mode. I am currently in dispute with Renault after learning other makes of cars don't suffer from this problem.
There's no point of comparing the size of a Clio to that of a Golf when the equivalent VW model is a Polo! The Polo is 4074mm long (+24mm), 1751mm wide (-47mm) and 1451mm high (+11mm).
A really very informative review. Great job!!! In my humble opinion though, this Clio Hybrid despite being a nice and fuel-efficient car it's very, very expensive, compared to a Toyota Yaris or some other competitors.
If everything works out this will be my third brand new car. I have to say, I am always wondering "what of somebody used this for a review and the door was left open for 15 minutes in heavy rain?"

I’m an American. I drove a rented 2023 hybrid Clio around Italy for a week. It is a superb automobile.

Good review. You've really improved over the course of the last few months 👍🏾😎
Many thanks, Hari. We'll pass this onto our team

We do like +1000km per filling, mostly 50 & 80km roads.
Getting mine on monday😁 cant wait
Exciting! Let us know how it goes with your new Renault Clio 👍
Just ordered an E-Tech engineered hybrid in shadow grey as my first car. Hope I made a good decision!
Fantastic to hear, Marcus 👍 We hope it goes well with your new Clio!

Very good review well explained. A pretty little car and very nice in the Valencia orange or Flame red.

So on Renaults uk website this car starts at £18,895 some jump from £13,450 as stated above so is this an old video or 2 years old used car price ?
The prices of all cars have gone up, I paid £13.000 for mine in 2021.

Claimed fuel figures don't mean nothing. There always way off. Thus reviewer should state real life economy.

I'm getting 56.5 to the gallon and I've had her 2 weeks . I think it's pretty impressive myself.
Good luck opening the boot in this current weather and keep a clean hand
I have one you dont need to open the boot manually it opens with the fob.
Great job 👏 👍 👌 🙌 😀 💪
Thank you!

With a 1.8kw battery, iam surprised it can move at all as an ev.

Huh, there’s not much price difference
They’re basically the same price?
Buying one of these as a 3rd car to keep the boring mileage off my 911 and F-Pace

Weird. You need help.
Mason Mount is great at car reviews
Why do we have to pay extra for rubbish like auto windscreen wipers? I mean, how strenuous is it, to flick the wipers on manually?
Jazz is better overall car.
I love a Jazz but sadly I’m looking around at other manufacturers because Honda does not make a petrol manual with a digital speedo.
MK6 4 Renault clio
Maybe choose a day where it's not raining, the vanishing and reappearing umbrella was ridiculous 🤣
The boot is nowhere near as practical as the Honda Jazz
28+ minutes of review, man you are overthinking a Clio.
