I have the RS line and the only thing that lets it down is when it rains the safety sensors go mad. But had an offer off Renault for the new captur alpine which is crazy ..
Neither the Honda Jazz or Toyota Yaris hybrids are CVTs FFS. The Jazz is a series hybrid with the engine driving a generator to produce electricity which then powers a motor to drive the wheels. Above ~50mph the engine drives the wheels directly via a clutch and fixed ratio gear since then the engine is running in its sweet spot. The Yaris is a parallel hybrid where both the engine and an electric motor drive the wheels simultaneously through a planetary gearbox. The generator (which also acts as the starter motor) doubles as a clutch to vary the ratio of the gearbox. In both cases the engine revs up under hard acceleration for the same reason it would do with a CVT; petrol engines deliver peak power at around 5000rpm. That's where the similarity ends.
It's possible that Renault has updated the UI or that the Esprit Alpine trim has a different dashboard design compared to other versions. Manufacturers sometimes roll out software updates or make changes between different trims that can affect the UI's appearance. I’d suggest checking the user manual or reaching out to your dealership for confirmation.
@@rivervalegroup I went to the dealership to compare mine with another Clio the same trim and I think they have updated it since this video. It’s a real shame the new uni looks far inferior to the old.
Excellent detailed review. I have a Hyundai DCT hybrid and much prefer it to driving my old Honda CVT and the Toyota hybrids I've tried. However, the Honda is exemplary in its reliability, and the same obviously goes for Toyota.
Why would you cut to a Ford Fiesta when talking about other brands wanting to sell mild-hybrids? This channel is generally good - the two main presenters are like the presenters of old on TV motoring shows - and I say that as a big compliment. It’s not however, clear what the purpose of this channel is anymore? I thinks its main purpose of to promote the company behind it where you need to call to talk about what car you want (call??? - 2024??) but there’s rarely any information about what the company does - compare and contrast to CarWow - which I would imagine is similar in business model and look at the difference - you know what they stand for and it’s easy.
belt driven CVT the Toyota? Is this journalism? If it was new i would be ok he didn't know(but he should) but eCVT has no belts clutches etc. thats why its the best out there in terms of reliability.Nice car the Clio though.

Who cares. The criticism still stands. The engine reving under acceleration is not pleasant.
I just received my car yesterday and the ui for my digital dashboard looks nothing like this. iv got the clio e tech esprite alpine

But I find carwow tend to not five such detailed reviews. I find your comment very pedantic....🤣
Supmini, mini! Mini! MINI! I get it, it's another one of those large minis.
