I will take this man singing this song in any concert even in the 77 one the power in this man's voice just makes me feel it deep down in my heart and soul
Yes it is the best version indeed. The Reprise is the reason for this. He hits the highest most phenomenal notes I ever heard him sing this song with, just beautiful!!!
With every song of this child of God, tears are streaming out of my eyes with joy and sadness of what The King gives us, in past, present and future. Thank you Elvis and rest in peace. Thank you for everything.
No other artist manages to touch me deep inside - only Elvis‘ voice does. And THIS version of Bridge makes clear why: he „lived“ a song on stage, felt it. And that’s what I hear and feel. And that is just great😊
This is a very good strong version with a great reprise, he also did some very similar strong versions in 73 in Vegas aswell my favourite from that season being the August 31st dinner show..If you want to be technical then i think the 1970 version from "Thats The Way It is " is definitely the best and for me it beats the Elvis On Tour version hands down!!...Another favourite version for me is Mobile, Alabama on June 2nd 1975 that is another strong tour version...😃😃👍👍🎸🎸
Wow I have tears coming out of my eyes! He is the GREATEST! IS! As om IS jere amd IN HEAVEN! For ALL TIME! I LOVE THAT SUIT TOO! Whish I saw it more often. It is rare. amd HE is ONLY ONE!
Very powerful version, clearly going through his range on the reprise. For me personally it isn't as well sung all the way through as THE version from Greensboro April 72, IMHO that is perfection from start to finish. Also think the Version from June 75 in Mobile is also a great rendition.
He had the best band anyone could ever have. He said he 'Got lost in the last verse" at 4:00 and the band picked it right back up at "Sail on..." Perfect
HE IS A BRIDGE OVER TROUBLED WATERS... THESE SONGS ARE AUTOBIOGRAPHICAL WITH PAIN ALL AROUND... ELVIS IS THE SON OF MAN HE WAS YESHUA THE SON OF G-D HE IS THE SONG OF G-D NOW 🙌🌹⚡💖💗🙏
@@bradhuskers big reason Aug 11 is perfect it was mixed and edited in studio elvis sung it great but that was film for official release so they sweeten it this version from 1974 Sept 1 is from a soundboard that is more raw regardless his voice and range come through fantastic
@@thomasandersen2938 You are DEAD WRONG. that August 11th performance was captured LIVE, as it happened. No mixing or editing. I know because I've studied the life, music and career of elvis presley longer than you've been alive. Go sit down,
He perfected this song in 1970 and it was severely down hill after that unfortunately. He's my man, but as the Guralnek book titles the post Aloha chapter: "Free Fall."
A very good version but not the best. He was obviously under stimulants here because the song is rushed. Compare this to a live version from 1970 and you will see the difference. I love Elvis and I've been studying him since I was a teenager and this is definitely not one of his brighter moments.
Elvis was on stimulants for every show. But yeah, something is different. Maybe he was just in the mood and felt good. I think for TTWIS he concentrated on having a perfect version since it was being filmed and recorded for an album. This show, he's just pushing the boundaries and having fun

This is a fantastic version, indeed! Elvis' vocals are brilliant! Thank you for sharing.❤️💯🙏

Elvis voice is so smooth and like no other love this song show his strenght
Dit is gewoon perfect
This is by far best version of this song Elvis did. Man can you imagine if he sang it this way in the 1977 In Concert Special? Oh my lawdy.
He sang it. It was not filmed for the special.
@@PauloPereira-jj4jv I don't think it was done in Rapid City or Omaha. The famous 1977 version was on June 26, and that was a week after the special

briljant example of Elvis his vocal range and eagerness to perfection....
Amazing! Best version ever.
this dude could sing
Elvis Presley the King of music forever,,, Elvis the best singer on artist all times,, Elvis the voice of God 👑🥇
What a range in vocals.
This is a great version of Bridge Over Troubled Water, the best version (in my opinion) for this engagement. Thank you.

OMG this is really brilliant

I honestly prefer the August 11 1970 dinner show performance. It was tenderness and power.

Sorry to be Debbie Downer, folks, but (my first reaction, anyway) is that this is a mess. And he sounds like he's struggling for breath.
Not even close to the best version.
