- I've seen a lot of the "family member ranks starkid songs" videos. My dad is more of a joke guy, so I asked him for his favorite parts. He has seen all the shows, but some more frequently and some more recently than others.

Meanwhile if I tried watching any of these with my dad he'd just give me the raised eyebrow and say "You're a strange child."
Same with my mum. She just give me a look as if she’s thinking “where did I go wrong?”

My sister does the same sort of thing with Joe Walker. Every time she sees him on screen, or I mention him, she immediately references 'No One Remembers Achmed' (the most iconic line, of course). 😂😂

your dad to sit through all of these i made my dad watch the first 15 minutes of tgwdlm and he wouldn’t pay attention at all
He went though "Starkid Bootcamp" before we went to see Tgwdlm live. And then we went to see it again because we both loved it.
My dad basically wouldn't pay attention either, until the first time the aliens appeared. After that every once in a while he would mutter "this is pure genius" under his breath. It was great, I feel accomplished

i made my parents watch trail to oregon with me and my mom just said that it was really weird. my dad couldnt stop laughing at the farting part at the end though. my mom was horrified

A fun little edit- I have now made my parents promise to watch at least one with me, but I doubt they’ll understand the sense of humor, as they both think my sense of humor is a mess, and my sense of humor is basically just starkid with more puns

@@FloreMar-yp3iz same, my parents don't understand english enough to go through a movie, series or play without subtitles. And i tried to get them to watch AVPM (my mom) and Twisted (my dad), they both bailed not even 20 minutes in. It kinda hurt, especially on Twisted cause it's my favourite.
I'm gonna try with my sister, cause she's liked some other musicals I've shown her...

Also I showed him To Be a Man right before Batman V. Superman came out. We went and saw it and during the big fight I hear him go “fuck You. I’m gonna kick your ass” 😂

@@kittyofyore5181 I just watched both of them and I loved them both so much! In Spies Are Forever the music is great and the story is cool. In Solve It Squad the characters have a good story behind them and its like Scooby Doo without exactly being Scooby Doo.

I've never tried to watch Starkid through a dad's perspective before, but somehow it makes everything a million times better
I am just imagining your dad like the most STRAIGHT man ever finding joy in musical theatre and it just makes me so happy to think that these moments made him giggle and he genuinely enjoyed them. I gotta say, my Dad’s absolute favorite thing about any starkid show is Lauren rolling around the floor in AVPM.
I usually low key force him to watch the show recordings with me, but I think he secretly enjoys it very much, his favs. Being AVPM and TGWDLM, his favorite songs probably Kick it up a Notch and La De Dah Day, and his favorite member “the short one” aka Lauren, and Joey.

Ok so my mom didn’t know I watch starkid (I’m not even 16 yet so um yah I thought it’s best she doesn’t know) but one day I got a notif from Lauren manion and she saw it. She asked me what starkid is sO UM YAH IMAGINE MY HORROR.She told me she saw the notif ( starkid vocal analysis so nothing too dangerous there). She asked me if it’s adult and I said “um nOt rEaLly.. tHeY cUrSe”. So ya now I’m super scared she’ll check out starkid stuff 😂😂 also great vid I love your dad 😂😂
