- May 10,1998 was the start of 26 years of me and my family burning Nitro. I put together just a few highlights of my career driving a Top Fuel Dragster. I hope you enjoy this quick little look back. Can you explain the Sportsmen racing, what it entailed, and then I still remember that Sherrlly Muldownney Movie. I watched it when I was like 8 years old. I DUCK DUCK GO'd the Information but it even with AI help was very vague. What kind of vehicle was you driving in the sportsmen class? Who's car and what sponsors?

Not familiar with the IHRA however, but I am familiar with the NHRA, my question is how many Wally's do you have? Yes I work at a little dragstrip up here in Madras, Oregon 1/8 mile oldest dragstrip in Oregon, or so they say.

26 years... Seems longer, lol! But bought my first drag racing book of wins & facts in 67, ran my first light in 78.... But have listened & read, watched when they aired, a bit of your history all along! Thanx for giving us all a glimpse of the excitement & joy with every one of your videos. Certainly makes watching so much more fun! Thanx !
I remember those years racing IHRA and I "hated" your guts for winning so much! I really enjoyed your personality, it's like John Force, you have to love it! When you had your first win, on Father's day, I was crying like everybody else! To this day, I see that video and I get watery eyes. Keep stomping that loud pedal, Clay! Clay I did a little drag racing in my younger years and the quickest I have ever gone in the quarter mile is a 9.45 second pass. How does it feel in a 3.65 second at 336 miles per hour pass? I can’t imagine what your mind goes through that quick. I just want to know how you focus on something that quick.

Clay I was always around sprint cars as a young 11 yr old then a guy by the name of Don Onken called me when I was 15 he had a rear engine dragster in the late 70's we been kicked outta dragstrips so we went grudge racing I was hooked ol Eddie Hill was my favorite went to the U.S. Nationals and you remind me of Eddie. Hope ta see ya at the Nationals or Gateway I was wanting to go to Joliet but can't make it. Stay Safe and hammer that loud pedal.🤙🇺🇸
