- HTVRont just released their Auto Press. I've been using it to test out different projects and thought it might be helpful to compare it to my other heat press which is the Signature Series from Heat Press Nation. I hope this video helps you make a more informed decision about purchasing the HTVRont press. Don't forget to hit that thumbs up sign if you liked it!

Thank you for this, I've been bouncing back and forth undecided about which one I wanted to get and you made it so easy to make up my mind. I very much appreciate your efforts.
You’re very welcome! Thanks for watching!! Which one did you decide to get.
@@TheCraftyBrick the Heat Press Nation signature pro. 💖
Awesome presentation comparing the two. I have the HTVRONT heat press and would not recommend it to anyone. The heat press itself is not bad, does a good job. Where the problem lays with the heat press is the lack of support. Trying to contact HTVRONT is one of the worse experiences I ever dealt with. I used their online form, emailed, and many attempts called. No response in all of forms I used to contact them. Left voice messages many times. And for these reasons alone is why I highly recommend to stay away from HTVRONT products. Don’t support companies by buying their products if you can’t get support within a timely manner.
That is so unfortunate but it’s not the first time I’ve heard that. Customer service goes a long way for me and I hate to hear when companies done value it.
HTVRONT has good aftersales support.. They send a new machine when my hot press mulfunction
I ordered and cancelled it after seeing this due to I work with hoodies and did not like the way it did not open wide. I e- mailed and I got a response the would cancel my order and not ship it .
Great comparison on the two machines. I have the HTVRONT and love it. I needed a machine smaller and lighter than my regular heat press to go into my craft room. I had I am just now getting into sublimation and have found that if I need a bit more pressure I just use a ver thin piece of wood or cardboard and it works fine. I don’t find it off putting that so many people complain about the sweatshirt issue. Just turn it sideways and the problem is solved. As far as the limit of time, I haven’t had to press anything longer that 90 seconds so that is not an issue either. I was making car coaster and went thru a dozen blanks before I discovered that to get even pressure I just needed to put a thin shim under my project and the problem was solved. All of my mess ups were really just leaning hoe to use the heat press and now I don’t have any issues at all.
Great idea about adding the wood for pressure. Since doing the video I tried the hoodie to the side and it did work out. I agree it’s a machine. I just don’t think it could be my only one because I do need times longer than 99 and if I’m making a lot of things it’s not as easy as my clamshell. But that heating time is AWESOME!
This was an amazing help! Thank You for doing this video!
I’m so glad you found it helpful!
I'm so new to all of this so this was very helpful! Thank you!
Yay!! I’m so happy to hear you found it helpful! Thanks😁. Do you have a heat press yet?
@@TheCraftyBrick No I haven’t purchased yet. The htvront is a good price point snd I’m brand new to it but I don’t like the comments on lack of service from them. Im just watching videos on many of them now.
great honest review. thank you x
Thank you! I’m so glad you liked it😁
Great tutorial 😃 The signature machine left very vibrant prints and the operational functions hands down the signature gets my vote! The openness are of signature makes the overall experience superior. Thanks for comparison
Thanks for watching! I’m so happy you liked the comparison😁. Yes the clearance makes a very big difference
Thanks for the great video. I was looking to buy the HTVRont, but there seem to be too many limitations. Thanks for your honest assessment.
You’re very welcome! I’m glad you liked it. I have to say after using it for about 6 months. I’m actually very happy with it. I still don’t choose it to make hoodies BUT it heats up so fast it’s my first choice when I’m short on time.
Thank you for such a helpful video as I am in decision mode on these machines.
Yay!! I’m so happy you found it helpful. Have you decided which one to get yet?
I liked the clamshell heat press, the HTV Ront seems to have limitations. I will go with the Clamshell Press. Thanks for sharing.
Yes it is a little challenging to work with when using thicker materials
Thanks for the comparison review. I am currently using HTVRONT's smaller 10x10 hand press. So this would be a step up for me. I purchased through Kickstarter and am awaiting arrival of my heat press. I questioned not having the variable pressure. I mainly do sublimation and vinyl shirts and hoodies. We'll see if works out for me.
oh nice! I hope it works for you. it is a really good price.
I love my HTVRONT heatpress. The limitations with the sweatshirts are not that big of a deal for me. I just put it on sideways with the hood hanging off the side.
@@Jana-TheCraftyGambler I have my HTVRont Auto Press and love it. I use it primarily over my hand press. I've had no issues with my projects so far.
Yeah, I’ve noticed the same same thing with the HTVRONT. Both machines have their place.
yes agreed
Hello Courtney, I just started following you on RUclips and I loved your demo comparison between the two heat press machines. I have the HTVRONT press and I agree with the things you mentioned. I'm wondering what your thought are about maybe pressing the tote bag on the HTVRONT without the pressing pillow. Because the HTVRONT press padding is aleready thick. May the colors would have come out a little better.
That’s a god point Lori. It’s possible that taking out the pressing pillow could help. I did that video awhile ago but I have to say I find that I use the pillow quite frequently. Sometimes I take it off but a lot of times I keep it on there it just depends on what I’m making
Forgot to say thanks for subscribing 😁. Welcome to the Craftty Crew!
Thank you for the quick response. I appreciate that. And thank you for the welcome. Also you inspired me to get the Ricoma embroidery machine. I haven't gotten it yet...girl, I'm waiting on my eldest son to move put on his own😆
oh really?!?! I’m IN LOVE with it! I told my husband last night, when it’s working I just sit there and watch it because I’m just in awe. I just wanna embroider all the things. It’s making me so happy and I’m sure you will love it too! I’m working on getting more content out so hopefully you will be up and running in no time when you get it. 😁
What a great and informative video!! thank you!!!!!!!!!
Yaaaayyyy! I’m so happy to hear that. Thanks!!
I have real bad Arthritis and Osteo so this would be great for me. I only do small stuff so great price and size. Waiting on mine to come
Yes it is very easy to work with😁
Thank you for this very informative comparison!!! I am searching to buy a heat press, and I've been considering these same two machines. Your presentation is right on time and has helped me tremendously. I currently use my Easy Press 12×12 and mini press. The HTV Ront seems to be what I need and is within my budget as a beginner. I also create mugs and tumblers. What are your thoughts on 5 - or 8-in-1 heat presses? Do you have a link to compare those? Thank you for taking time out to share your expertise, I'm truly grateful! 😊❤️
I’m so happy you found it helpful! I think you’ll be happy with your purchase. It’s a good machine and you can’t beat the price
I’m looking into the HTVRont for sublimation - since it doesn’t allow you to adjust pressure do you think increasing the time would help with the colors for the bag??
Unfortunately I don’t really think so. I’ve tried a few other times and it just didn’t work for the bags. If you do too much time then your colors will start to burn.
Thinking of getting the htvront - do you think the color would turn out better on the htvront if you were to add a little thicker base by changing out the base on the Htvront
Yes! I have actually done some projects by adding a firm pressing pillow on top of the original pad and I have found it helpful.
Thank you
Thank you for your tutorial. Where I can find the tote bags blanks please
Here’s the link to the bags.

Interesting observation so where do get your “pressing pillow“? I own the HTVRONT
I got the pressing pillows from a heat Press Nation Heat Press Nation shrsl.com/3gru7
Thanks for this! I was wondering about the time limit, basically ceramic tiles, plaques, and those types are going to be out of the picture with the HTVront for now. Clamshells seem to be problematic on multiple items, making more pressure at the back versus front when closing. Was really hoping a straight down pressure press would be more product adaptable.
yeh the 99 second limit is stupid, even htvront employee told me via instagram they think it was a stupid idea, either weay the autopress simplay can not apply enough pressure for alot of items anyway so its a waste of money. and doing multiple presses can smear images when sublimating ceramic and glass as once it lifts up the paper can change shape and alter even when taped so you get ghosting. ceramics i do need 360 seconds and glass 180
you are better off getting a swing away one as you lower them straight down and it has even pressure..mine also has a pull out draw
Yeah it does seem like it would be a good idea but this one at least is not the answer for all your projects.
@@marklola12 yeah it makes no sense when doing sublimation to lift up your press and add more time. They left out a few key functions with this one
I’m only doing shirts and hoodies do you think the HTVRONT is good enough? I have a clamshell but it’s not a slide out.
I think it will def be good enough just a little challenging with the hoodies. Since there isn’t much clearance it’s just hard to get the hoodie BUT it does work well
@@TheCraftyBrickThanks. I’ve seen videos where the person puts the hoodie on the side of the heat press. Instead of top to bottom
@@LimitlessNarration Me too. They simply turned the item and hood or handles off the side and it works great!
Turn the tote so the handles are on the side. That works!
Yes I have learned after using it awhile that does work much better. I turn shirts sideways as well sometimes
Where do your create your sublimation art or suggest sheets?
I usually design in silhouette studio
Should I unplug the htvront heat press after a project?
I usually keep it plugged in although the light flashes all the time
How to get those press out?
Sorry not sure I understand your question
When you see a press mark around the image from pressure
There are many tutorials for the HTVront pressure issue. Just add a pressing pillow for more pressure. Problem solved.
Yep great tip! Thanks! I tried that after making this video and it does work very well😁. I’m still happy with this press 8 months later
@@TheCraftyBrick You're welcome. I had to do research before buying it. I bought their easy press, a couple of years ago. I love it. I jumped into the sublimation pool, so knew I needed a bigger press.
Good video thanks I don’t like any press that you can’t adjust the pressure thanks ❤
Yeah it definitely is not good for every project
The autopress simply does not have enough pressure for alot of things tbh hence it looks more paler and not as crisp
Agreed. I think it’s fine for tees but not for a lot of other things that require more pressure
I wondered if you could increase the thickness of the heat pillow to create more pressure? I don't have the press so I cannot test.
@@kcastillo0319 that’s an idea… I’ll check it out.
I saw a video on how to fix the pressure
Oh really? How do you do that?
@@TheCraftyBrick the video said to add another pressing pad
@@jeepgirl1224 ahh ok. Thanks for sharing!
Any HTV SAMPLES?
Do you mean did I try out any HTV? I did and it worked just fine.
Here is a hack for doing your tote bags. Turn it so the handles stick out from the side. You can increase the pressure by placing a USPS free shipping box under the mat. Ño cutting needed. The box will stick out the front but is not in the way
Love this! Thanks for sharing 😁
Just turn the hoodie side ways it works
Someone else suggested that to me and i tried it. You’re right, it works great! Thanks so much! I really like this press😁
The ones I have bought from Amazon already gives me ghosting
Oh really. Did you use tape or spray?
Maybe wearing glove might help
Yes that could help for sure!
