Hello Indian viewers! I see a lot of comments below that I had some kind of agenda against India in the video but not at all. I just showed what I saw as I do in every country. Take a look at what I have said about Britain in the past. I called India a failed state because to me it is in many parts. A country that has awful air pollution. Rubbish that is thrown directly into rivers ( 58% of Delhis rubbish goes straight into the Yamuna River ). Where I saw rats everywhere in the capital city. Where trash lies everywhere. Where noise pollution is ubiquitous. Where traffic is at a standstill. Where people spit constantly in public places. Where infrastructure cannot cope with monsoon rains although the government knows it will happen every year. Where the air often stinks of ammonia because people just piss anywhere and everywhere. Where there are no green spaces for pleasant quiet walks with your family. Where apartment buildings are filthy and falling apart. I said in the video I had changed in six years and that includes my feelings towards all that stuff. In the past I saw it as a exciting and interesting but I suppose as I grew older I'm now disgusted more and more by such things and appreciate my life in Europe more than ever. Anyway no hate towards the people of India who as always I found fun and friendly. If anyone has any questions I'll be happy to answer some in this thread.

I understand your viewpoint, but perhaps a trip to the southern states could offer a different perspective. It's interesting to note that more and more international travelers are opting for destinations outside of Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. It's unfortunate that people in the comments are making broad assumptions about all of India based on what you've shown.

We Indians don't want to accept that we have a lot of problems that need to be addressed: Population, Pollution, Poverty, Privacy, Personal rights, Hygiene, Sanitation, Noise, Civic sense, Infrastructure, Safety, Corruption a few among them. We need to address these issues without pointing fingers at others. I hope we can change these issues by taking self responsibility over time.

Not so long ago, I learned that Hindu brahmins prevented the lower castes to be educated for more than a thousand years. From watching Bald videos on India even the old ones, the biggest thing that's offputting isn't even place or the noise or the hygiene. I dont want to say this but its the people. Just random people following and begging for money all the time and they dont give up, and they stalk you for 20 minutes even when you say no a million times. On top of that, every interaction you have with someone is just someone trying to scam you or trick you, whether you're taking a taxi or buying something from a shop. Its just seems like a horrible experience for any non-indian to go to.

I would suggest visiting Kerala (Vagamon, Munnar, Kozhikode, Trivandrum to name a few places) then Isha foundation at Coimbatore, Ooty and Kodaikanal at Tamilnadu

I worked with an Indian guy that immigrated when he was 2 yrs. old and decided he would go back home to visit relatives. He said it was one of the most disgusting places he has ever been and would never go back.

He was not the first & won't be the last. Having said that, I would not be able to live in Victorian, London. No running water, separate wash basins etc. Plus all the muck from the old factories, pollution, smoke, raw sewage in places. Most people only bathed once a week.
Some of us are old enough to remember the ways things were before the modern age took root. Class divide was & still is huge. Manners, dress, etiquette etc.

Am from Scotland and I regularly visit India, it’s an amazing country, most 3rd world countries have pretty bad poverty but you won’t find happier people anywhere in the world, the popular tourist places are all surrounded in poor areas but there are some extremely wealthy areas in India but you’ll never see them in these videos because there not known to a tourists, honestly I love India but to seriously explore and enjoy yourself you need to spend some money and go to nice expensive hotels and you won’t regret it !!

I dunno Bald, I'm an old aussie guy and I love going to India. I don't seem to get scammed as much as the younger travellers I have spoken to. In fact, quite the reverse. The locals all seem to want to help me and have certainly made my trips memorable. I love Delhi and the hustle and bustle and I adore Varanasi and have been invited to the Ghats many times. I didn't enjoy southern India as much as the north. When I watched Ben during this video, it highlighted to me why I enjoy travelling alone. He would have done my head in I reckon.

I am an Indian and while I felt that Bald and Bankrupt only covered the areas which are very crowded and bad, it is true that we as Indians need to improve a lot and in a significant way. I also had a very bad experience when I came to old Delhi. The basic civic sense is very low in Mumbai and North India , especially people spitting by chewing gutka, no basics of waste disposal, throwing garbage on roads, culture of stray dogs and cow pooping, Indians were encouraged to honk and Trucks used to write "Horn Ok Please". This can be changed only by educating the youth on cleanliness and punishing the people who throw garbage and spitting. Foreigners are not upset that India has poor people but because India is not clean and to some extend cleanliness and wealthy are not related and one can learn from Rwanda a poor country or even from India's Indore, Surat etc. Foreigners are better off if they avoid Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata and travel to Goa, Kerala, North East, Ladakh, Himalayas etc. Bald and Bankrupt, we take this critical video positively and hope it would encourage us to make changes. Modi's Swatch Bharath was a great step and we have a long way to go.
