Blanchardstown is definitely not posh. A person was shot dead and another stabbed to death in a restaurant there a few months ago. That's hyperbole if i heard it.
It all depends what you want out of your career.. if you want to be remembered as a great, the ufc is your only option.. but if you just want to make a living from fighting because that’s what you love doing.. then there are definitely better options than the ufc, typically easier fights for more money.
The average pay and average contract based off the UFC's profit is probably better outside, it's virtually a known fact at this point. HOWEVER the ceiling is definitely ALOT higher in the UFC.
definitely not, UFC's average salary is much, MUCH higher. PFL/Bellator/One invest more in specific fighters, Doumbe, Hughes, former UFC fighters etc, giving better contracts exclusively to them, which are slightly hyped for the hardcore MMA fan and try to build on them.
This is how we know you know nothing lol, the UFC’s average payout shyts on everyone else. Instead of the average fighters getting paid 5 grand to show and win, in the ufc it’s like 12 and 12 or 16 and 16.
Based on the UFC's profit it's alot worse. The ability to get a better contract outside out of the original contract is a lot harder within the UFC.@@maka3130
It seems like people have decided like this was the only time UFC will ever be an option. Or that both deals have risks to them and betting on how you perform. The offer he had with PFL had a nice upside for where he’s at in the grand scale and a company invested in marketing him. If he flops whatever number he got from them was likely multiples of what he would’ve started at with the UFC. Then consider how little he has likely earned so far fighting in CW. So for him the comparison is to gamble missing the UFC someday to take an offer where he will at least earn something substantial for once, and if he performs well and gets marketed, the UFC will be back with a healthier offer and he will be in a financial position to shoot for the upside. Keep in mind Paddy had two $12K/$12K fights before he got a big bump and had his popularity not taken off like it did and he not won he easily may have been back on the market but with a substantially diminished value having flopped in the UFC. That’s a huge gamble to take if you haven’t made anything to fall back on yet. Or you gamble the way he is, where he needs to perform well, but he realistically knows he will earn some level of security in the worst case. And if he excels he will earn over seven figures and be back to the market with a more known name at around 30 and a better offer from the UFC than risking it all for what was more than likely starting at $12K/$12K. If the dude was 35 then it’s a different thing but at 27 taking a bit of security short term and building your name in the process leaves ample opportunity to make a UFC move as a prospect they’ll actually want to position and market like we saw with others who made the jump after succeeding in the other promotions first but will have youth in his side unlike an Askren or Chandler.

Take the money now while youre young. With injuries, fighting can be short lived... All going well this kid will have much bigger opportunities/offers from the UFC as a more mature fighter
The amount of hometown pride watching this is hard to even put into words, would’ve been amazing to see him with the ufc but it’ll be great to see him smoke some poor fella on the big stage nonetheless.
It's 100% your choice and best of luck to you, but nobody will know you in the PFL. It's a zombie league. There's practically no ceiling in the UFC. If you aren't willing to bet on yourself and you have a family to feed RIGHT NOW I can't blame you.
Smh PFL just let go Gegard. Francis still hasn't fought for PFL and he's been with PFL for maybe 2 years and has had 2 fights...2 fights in boxing. UFC is where you wanna be
1.PFL use USADA testing 2. They will have offered him much more money 3. He’s 26 years old he can build his name, make his money and if he wants go to ufc after a couple years he can or he can retire before he’s 30.
