Not Important a video of them live was just posted on RUclips yesterday, a two part video of their entire set. I was mesmerized watching the bass player. Holy shit he is top 3 probably.
Great reaction! Tatiana has said that this song is to be interpreted allegorically. It's about any authoritarian entity. Rather it be school, religion, government, or whatever. It's about questioning authority and not following anything or anyone blindly. I love the beginning of the story the teacher puts a sack over her head, implying that it's not okay to ask questions, but to just "trust" the teacher. Towards the end of the song the sack falls to the ground to reveal the falsehood of everything the authority had pushed. Just brilliant lyricism. Her response isn't to seek revenge or bitterness, she simply smiles at the teacher. Beautiful!
Jinjer released a statement about this song. It is intended using the metaphor of the school to depict people with power, authority and fame trying to tell others how to think and feel about things but doing it from a position that lacks experience or knowledge on those subjects... But you nailed it the strong verbal imagery is there to make you think Another great reaction and review from TNT
Jinjer Bad Water... I will be seeing them in TX . Which marks my 3rd time seeing them a watershed band and definitely the future of metal!! Thanks TNT good review!
Got my sub, great reaction and jinjer is on another level with their music. Everyone in the band is so talented, Tatiana's vocals are incredible, the drummer is so good, bassist always adds such an incredible groove and the guitarist really shows all his influences and talent.
The Adventures of TNT.. will you guys have a reaction from the jinjer concert? I’m going to see them in March next year when they come to Australia so would love to see a reaction from you guys 🙂
I love how you guys tried to interpret the lyrics :) A rare thing on reaction channels! Tati always asks to read the lyrics, not only listen to music :)
Excellent reaction! Jinjer is that next level badass! Here's another video that blew my mind and puts any doubt about Tatiana's vocals being fake to rest. Blew my mind! " Who Is Gonna Be The One (Live at Rockstadt Extreme Fest 2015)"
Her stage presence and delivery has improved dramatically. She went from being somewhat unsure and nervous to confident and commanding respect. If you read her lyrics they're incredibly deep. Particularly the song Pices. Deals with inner struggle, weakness, battle of good and evil, suicide, the passing of a what maybe her father and how that left her empty and vulnerable. And having relationships with men who were only interested In sex.
I love the fact that they're still going to be playing small clubs. I thought they'd for sure be playing somewhere like the TLA, or, the Troc. Nope! They're playing a hookah bar, that has a tiny, little stage in the back. Small venues always make for a better show. Especially, when it's a high energy band, like Jinjer.
nice to see you back with us for your 2nd attempt at Teacher Teacher 😉 it was definitely worth returning to, and I bet you're glad you did....the more I hear this song the more I like it....it has so many different elements going on both musically and vocally....just a killer track....I can't wait to hear what they have in store for their new album
Her message in the song goes far further than literal "teachers". It's about anyone that has a platform, that uses that platform to become a preacher, often about things they have no expertise or knowledge to preach about. Examples would be politicians, RUclips Celebs, other celebs, etc.
I gotta say it's nice to see folks giving metal another look. For years if not decades metal has been synonymous with devil worshiping and so on. I'm elated to see you guys enjoying one of my favorite female fronted bands. Red Handed Denial (Clockwork) is another female fronted band that has a blend of melodic and hardcore metal mixed together. Keep up the great reactions and no matter what your opinions and over views are valued.
YES!! Their lyrics are amazing and the music with her voice...c'mon!! haha You should check out the song "Who Is Gonna Be the One"...the message there is badass too. How would you guys feel about checking out some punk rock?? *wiggles eyebrows* huh?? hahaha
@@TheAdventuresofTNT OMG do I?! haha So many choices...I'm gonna go through some of my favs that I think you guys might like and I'll hit ya back! Thank you! *giddy clapping*
@The Adventures of TNT Rise Against are big into activism and their songs usually have to do with injustices and politics. Some other amazing songs by them are "Make It Stop (September's Children)", "Help Is On The Way", "Hero of War", "Ready to Fall",...if you guys are familiar with Rage Against the Machine, also a very political and activist band...Tom Morello, who plays guitar for them is often participating in various activist or protest demonstrations with Tim McIllrath, who is the singer of Rise Against. All awesome guys with great messages in their music.
Please react to Jinjer ResurrectionFest. Amazing live concert. The whole thing perhaps broken into two or three parts. You will see a playful Tatiana but some serious vocals and of course this amazing band!
It's also about anyone who assumes the role of a mentor or teacher. This Micro Ep is a Microverse and the lyrics are more grounded and personal. Please listen to Dreadful Moments. That is very personal to Tatiana & Eugene.
Highly recommend 12 ft. Ninja - Sick.... An Australian metal band original as hell and creepy creepy as fuck.. their music is insane but groovy and melodic.....
Guy and Gal, Opeth- Burden, Porcelain Heart, or Faith in Others! Just really really good metal at its best... if not i will pay for your next show!!! Yes, I said it, There!!! BAAAMMM
As a retired teacher myself, I can honestly say that schools and colleges have moved away from genuine education, where students are taught to think and question, and have become, instead, training centres, preparing students to be conforming workers for vast corporate institutions.
The line "Life is not a prison and you are not the warden" is so true, like people are constantly trying to tell you what's right and wrong, how you can look and what you can and can't say and it's just like step off man, I'm just trying to be me...
Not all teachers. Some have no idea what they're talking about and only teach the standards that the school wants us to learn and not real issues in life. Book smarts is not always the way to go but it can help with some advantages.. if you use them properly. But great song and great react guys!
Jinjer are pretty awesome! But if you wants to react to an Melodic Death metal band with an female singer i suggest Arch Enemy from Sweden 🙂 Bloodstained Cross, The Eagle Flies Alone or Enemy Within are good ones with them.
The drummer is ridiculously good.
question: which one of the four musicians is not ridiculously good?... i mean, jesus, the bassist might be top 10 in the world right now
The whole band is on another level.
Not Important a video of them live was just posted on RUclips yesterday, a two part video of their entire set. I was mesmerized watching the bass player. Holy shit he is top 3 probably.

A fun side note, Tatiana was a teacher herself before the band went full-time.

Very good the way everyone explains the song in comments. The best thing about jinjer is the dont "write" songs they "compose" them

Super!!!!!!!!
Finally! i haven't watched yet but Tasha is gonna love this.
Great reaction. They just announced their North American tour too - and they are the headliner.
Ok. I watched the blooper first. I could tell she was pissed at the beginning, the Tatiana’s voice kicked in and she couldn’t help but smile.
