    Great reaction!
Tatiana has said that this song is to be interpreted allegorically. It's about any authoritarian entity. Rather it be school, religion, government, or whatever. It's about questioning authority and not following anything or anyone blindly. I love the beginning of the story the teacher puts a sack over her head, implying that it's not okay to ask questions, but to just "trust" the teacher. Towards the end of the song the sack falls to the ground to reveal the falsehood of everything the authority had pushed. Just brilliant lyricism. Her response isn't to seek revenge or bitterness, she simply smiles at the teacher. Beautiful!

      BTW
A fun side note, Tatiana was a teacher herself before the band went full-time.

Jinjer released a statement about this song. It is intended using the metaphor of the school to depict people with power, authority and fame trying to tell others how to think and feel about things but doing it from a position that lacks experience or knowledge on those subjects...
But you nailed it the strong verbal imagery is there to make you think

Her stage presence and delivery has improved dramatically. She went from being somewhat unsure and nervous to confident and commanding respect. If you read her lyrics they're incredibly deep. Particularly the song Pices. Deals with inner struggle, weakness, battle of good and evil, suicide, the passing of a what maybe her father and how that left her empty and vulnerable. And having relationships with men who were only interested In sex.

They're playing a hookah bar, that has a tiny, little stage in the back. Small venues always make for a better show. Especially, when it's a high energy band, like Jinjer.

Her message in the song goes far further than literal "teachers".
It's about anyone that has a platform, that uses that platform to become a preacher, often about things they have no expertise or knowledge to preach about.
Examples would be politicians, RUclips Celebs, other celebs, etc.

@The Adventures of TNT Rise Against are big into activism and their songs usually have to do with injustices and politics. Some other amazing songs by them are "Make It Stop (September's Children)", "Help Is On The Way", "Hero of War", "Ready to Fall",...if you guys are familiar with Rage Against the Machine, also a very political and activist band...Tom Morello, who plays guitar for them is often participating in various activist or protest demonstrations with Tim McIllrath, who is the singer of Rise Against. All awesome guys with great messages in their music.

As a retired teacher myself, I can honestly say that schools and colleges have moved away from genuine education, where students are taught to think and question, and have become, instead, training centres, preparing students to be conforming workers for vast corporate institutions.
