@@eddyd63I think Shalom should've had someone with experience working alongside him, similar to Eddie did with his father's knowledge and contacts, as well as Adam Smith.
Shalom most likely won't be promoting in a few years the way things are going at Sky.
@@roymunson1 I'm not sure how much that would have helped but it would maybe have been a bit of an improvement. The main problem for Shalom is that the only fighters he's been able to tempt over are guys that weren't of high value. He's basically got two prospects in Azim and Whittaker but you can't put together a schedule based around two prospects. Always an uphill battle with that stable.

If you break it down it kinda makes sense why he's scratched from the bottom with fighters. Genuinely, who in their right mind would trade their own promoter (top rank, matchroon, Queensberry etc) in exchange for a guy probably the same age or younger than themselves, with very very limited experience who is believed to have been convinced to get into promoting Boxers over a few beers with Ben D. On top of that he has no relationship with established promoters and they won't give him an inch in negotiations, while he's working on a budget provided by private investors and sky. I'd be pulling my hair out with Shalom if I was financially invested in his career as a promoter. He genuinely comes across as totally naive and hapless.
Having, let's say an Adam Smith (with all respect and acknowledgement to his sickness, making it impossible) to steady the ship would have made a big difference. Someone with 25plus years in boxing, seeing everything and having the knowhow in how to approach making fights, pay, contracts and dealing with the media.
As of now its Boxxer has been a total failure.
I wouldnt be surprised if the Saudis bought Boxxer out to be able to establish themselves under their own promotion, having Sky and an unlimited budget. Dazn, ESPN, and TNT would have be eager to work with them, at it'd get us having fights back in the UK and North Ameirca..

Actually, Eddie's interview that addresses Simon, Spencer, and Nelson were hilarious and spot on. Spencer, I'd say Eddie summed you up perfectly. I, like him, was a fan when you were a fighter, but your punditry and bias are bad. You don't support drug cheats yet sucked up to Miller in a recent interview, then the following day threw him under the bus. That was underhanded. I know what Miller is, but if your stance is what you say it is, then you wouldn't have interviewed him. You guys call content creators on boxing haters all the time when actually a good number of them produce way better, more educated boxing content than you guy's. Hypocrisy at its finest here. That interview must have really burnt

Simon is a hater.. There was more wrong with the Fury/Ngannou fight than there ever was with AJ/Ngannou. Fury is and was the wbc champion who never defended his belt last year and opted to fight big Francis, who had never professionally boxed. AJ holds zero belts and can box whoever he wants. This is only happening because Ngannou handed Fury a beating, and the main man with all the money wants this fight to happen.. it's not like AJ is holding the division up 1 bit. If anything, he's more active than Zhang, Fury, Hergovic, Wilder, Sanchez etc.

It doesn’t help that if fighters have a bad performance they don’t get to rectify that until possibly 4-6 months later. Where as football and most other sports it’s only the following weekend then they have the opportunity to fix it. So it’s only that window of a week or even less where the questions are being asked. A fighter loses that stays with them for months, understandingly they gonna be sensitive

This show has gone down hill badly. Every show is about bashing Eddie Hearn and Conor Benn, it’s so boring. They don’t criticise anyone else to the same standard, and the audience is aware. I never thought I would say this but I would rather listen to Sam Jones than these two clowns! Sam starts putting it on sky and Spencer and Jordan start defending them instantly, that doesn’t sound impartial to me, clearly talk sport are in bed with sky!
