It’s phenomenal. The sound coming from that instrument. Your RUclips fans love to see you create. (I was accidentally shown a video where a guy destroyed a baby grand with water. I felt like crying) Your fans watch you create amazing instruments out of even cans. In this destructive world, you are a breath of fresh air.
I'm impressed with how easily you have got good jawari (the buzzing sound produced by the bridge). This is something I have struggled with many times myself. I will try your method. Thank you very much for demonstrating it in this video.
May I suggest adding DIY string bender(s) to this? Love the buzz plate, sitar sound. Might try this angle iron construction tech, for my next build. Thanks for the great videos, and best wishes for your continued success/happiness with music making 🎶🌎☮
Hi bro i had enjoyed alot after watching the video thank u for builting th a musical instrument from Indian it shows the culture of India I feel prowed to be an Indian 🇮🇳
Your editing is very humble and barely conveys the time and effort that must have gone into this. As usual the end jam sounds so musical it always shows the instrument at it's best.
Oh that is lovely! I've got a slide guitar I made ages ago from a heavy plank of hardwood, some cheap acoustic guitar tuners. a spare pickup. Got bored with it, not much different from playing slide on a regular electric. But I've got a length of aluminium extrusion very like what you used. Want sitar!!
I have a silimar project on my winter build list. I do not have any eletric guitars at the moment so I am still on the lookout for cheap gear for the pickup and wiring.
It would appear that having a clean break gives clean tone and slow-soft rolloff gives the buzzes. What about making the piece of steel tilt with a screw adjust or even a lever to express on?
I see that you use the Sitar-Bridge without a sewing thread. Do you know, that you can improve the "buzzing" Sitar/Tampura-Sound, if you put a sewing thread underneath the strings on the bridge (just as seen on the Sample Tampura, you showed)? You then have to align the thread exactly to the right position on the bridge, then the sitar effect amplifies phenomenally!
I was surprised how good it sounded! I've become very interested in Indian slide instruments lately, so this is just perfect! What tuning are you using here?
Hi Nicolas, wondering whether you've provided any blueprint for the construction of this instrument at all? I'd love to give a try at making one of these :D
You've just earned a new subscriber, good sir! Keep up the good work. Also, is there a video of you making the double flute out of PVC pipes? Can't find it anywhere :C
I'm back after a summer break, this year will be a good one! Already a lot of ideas and some big projects are coming, stay tuned!
Can you try harp tuning for a 7 string instrument with a slide? It is cool, as every position of a slide creates a perfect octave.
Hans Zimmer eat your heart out
this man's got better sounds from a trip to home depot than almost anything I've heard in a long time
I am begging you, make an album with these instruments. That indian sound was HEALING
Good to see you back on my feed! Hope you had a great summer!
I did!
Not even finished watching the video and I'm already sketching out ideas for my own version of this. Thanks for the inspiration.
It's like a sitar with a country accent awesome work!
I really enjoy the tones this instrument creates. I always feel a boost of creativity and motivation when I watch your videos.
Thanks a lot!
3:44 that sounds amazing
Exactly. Need a whole song with this as the star.

Gotta love that the background soundtrack is made up of the instruments he's made himself. Amazing
This is one of my favourite instruments you built, this sounds sooo nice! awesome, pls more!! :D
I'll make compositions sessions soon, this one will be a part of the orchestra!
Far freaking out
This gives me so many ideas for my own building
One of the coolest sounds I’ve ever heard bro
I'm impressed with how easily you have got good jawari (the buzzing sound produced by the bridge). This is something I have struggled with many times myself. I will try your method. Thank you very much for demonstrating it in this video.
I was shocked too, it was my first try and it sounds great without any adjustments!
May I suggest adding DIY string bender(s) to this?
Love the buzz plate, sitar sound.
Might try this angle iron construction tech, for my next build.
Thanks for the great videos, and best wishes for your continued success/happiness with music making 🎶🌎☮

Slides are so easy to build!
Your editing is very humble and barely conveys the time and effort that must have gone into this. As usual the end jam sounds so musical it always shows the instrument at it's best.

I have a silimar project on my winter build list. I do not have any eletric guitars at the moment so I am still on the lookout for cheap gear for the pickup and wiring.
Man, I love this. I am considering buying one myself. If I could buy one for you I for sure would

And now I realise I have enough bits lying around to build a lap steel for free. Cool.
Thank you.

Grand merci! J'essaye de garder la longueur cohérente, l'instrument était rapide et simple, la vidéo aussi!
super cool
What is the tuning? Circle of Fifths? Awesome build, and awesome sound!
Very open tuning, A E A E A !
Please make a wind instrument tutorial, love your channel!
Another great video, subscribed.
cheers from a lyre builder and crazed polymetric/polyrhythmic freak in Vienna, Scott
Luar biasa. Keren broo 👍
Slide sitar?! George Harrison's dream instrument!
Géniale
It would appear that having a clean break gives clean tone and slow-soft rolloff gives the buzzes. What about making the piece of steel tilt with a screw adjust or even a lever to express on?
I love the tracks you make at the end of each video. Do you post these songs somewhere so I can listen to them?
I usually post them on every platforms, and I'm usually late, this one is out since yesterday!

Jawari - great video
Cool vids nick
This was neat. I wonder how it would sound if you used maybe a wooden "buzz bridge" like and undercut marimba block. Especially if it were rosewood.
Oh my god, more!
I was surprised how good it sounded! I've become very interested in Indian slide instruments lately, so this is just perfect!
What tuning are you using here?
A very open tuning, A E A E A
Hi Nicolas, wondering whether you've provided any blueprint for the construction of this instrument at all? I'd love to give a try at making one of these :D
Super cool mec ;)
4:26 perhaps got an upload of this?
that was just... 12/10
Здорово!
