    Thank you so much Christine. After watching you color with eye shadow, I have kept my eye out for good deals. The clearance racks always have bright colors and good variety. Christine, order some FlitterGlu from Indigo Blue the next time you order Luscious Powders. It is made for using with gilding flakes and powders. It ‘dries’ sticky. Keep your hands wiped off or you’ll end up with more on your fingers than the paper, but it is perfect for the purpose. I dab it on lightly with a makeup sponge.

      This time, at least, I didn’t notice any flickering, but, to my eye it did seem to be a truer white light - but not that hideous b l u e - w h i t e!! Don’t know about the UK, but L.E.D.s have a rating in the U.S. of … ? … color? … “temperature”? …. whatever … but I found, with my “old eyes”, the lighting rated as 3700 is MY optimal choice. 4000 starts to be TOO BLUE!! Anything less is too yellow; more closely akin to the yellow of incandescent. Just my take on the subject.

    • @Chrissieannie
      @Chrissieannie  Год назад

      @@kkrolf2782 in the UK light bulbs are usually rated warm white or cool white, like you I prefer the warmer tones. Very fun idea. As it happens, I purged virtually my eyeshadows some years ago in connection with various movings of house. Fortunately, I do have a variety of pigment and mica powders. Definitely need to try them with gilding flakes.

    Your light look good on video to me! What a fabulous idea of using eye shadows!!! I have none anymore, threw them all away since I don't wear them anymore. But one could easily get some at our Dollar Tree for cheap. I do have mica powders, but I do love the idea of using eye shadows if you don't have mica powders. Gorgeous card, brilliant idea from Linda! Hugs, Brenda

    Happy Sunday Morning!!!! LOVED this tutorial and your cute comments!!!! I laughed several times recalling my mom saying “go wash your face!” when I was a teenager with big blobs of gorgeous shimmery turquoise eye shadow with my red lipstick😂. Not sure if you have Dollar Tree stores in UK but ours here are full of eye shadow in “cake AND loose powder form!!!!!! Love it!

    Oh that is amazing using eyeshadows. Can’t believe it. When you sprayed it with hair spray Christine is it left sticky and how long does it take to dry. Thanks as always for sharing

    Thank you for showing this technique. Could you do the same with chalks?

      I don’t think chalks would have the shimmer !
