My mother was around during this time this is what she said:
"There were people who were dying of hunger because they didn't have enough money to feed their family, whereas on the other hand the shah was living in full luxury (Search up his palaces) just giving Iran's oil to the west with both hands" She absolutely loved Moassadegh and the poor guy went through a very hard time to achieve this - they made his life like hell - It's really upsetting :(

My Finnish friend spends a good deal of time in Iran; and she told me, that it is overwhelmed by heroin addicts. This I find shocking, as it seems so strict over there... She said there is syringes just laying in the gutters, everywhere you go, there are so many addicts. She also told me they have some good MDMA over there...

Nationalizing the oil means a sovereign state takes over its own oil resources and the related industries. Before nationalization the British Anglo-Persian oil company had all rights to refine and export Iranian oil based on decades-old bargain concessions. Before nationalization, the company used to pay only 20% of the company net profits to Iran, not to mention its deep influence in installing and removing ministers and parliament members to its own interests.

The pretence of the government helps Iranian women to remain in Cinema.
Shaking hands is not allowed there.
Shane did not mention Iran was above China in Reporters without borders.
Iran is very close to Oman. It is our neighbor which has good relations with us.
Israel is used to sending its spies under the cover of American nationality.
I met many Iranians who do not agree with their religious leaders.
Many Iranians live like Europeans although they respect their religious figures.

This happened from '85 to '87, in a war which lasted from '80 until '88. So it seems my original comment is fairly uncontroversial. The United States directly supplied arms to Iran, something which they didn't even do for Iraq through the duration of the war.

@TheWiseFire actually after the islamic revolution other than having to wrar the hijjab it made womens lives easier in education and in the business of cinema. More than 50% of uni students are females in Iran and a higher ratio of women are studying hard to get in degrees than men - you cant just say the Islamic goverment is all crap because it isnt - Sure it has bad points but also has some good points

  • @starsara100
    @starsara100 11 лет назад

    Please get your facts right
Although homosexuality is looked down upon in Iranian society they're not allowed to punish them because of their sexuality
Death penalty is only given to re-offenders & rapists
Along with this - It's EXTREMELY difficult to give evidence of a gay couple having a physical relationship - Even if its a video tape its still not regarded as valid proof
So please research in more depth before making it sound like there's dead hanged bodies as you walk around Iran

I don't think I was very clear in my previous comment
I'm not trying to say its never happens - Anything is possible
I was trying to point out that it's not as common as it was sounded out to be & was trying to point out that it's not the fact of their sexuality that they're being punished for but the acts of it which is very hard to gather evidence for
However some people fall into the hands of being judged and trialled by very closed minded people which results them in being unfairly punished
