music is key yeah unfortunately most of these videos on "ultimate" chord progressions never cover this theory part which would really help beginners to understand progressions and build their own ones
I dont know anything about music. I found this progression just by sound. just playing on the keyboard. I found some other progressions that sound good too!
Oh, but then we wouldn't be able to see all the beautiful products, which you can find at busyworksbeats.com. Btw, we go over far more of this in our course on music theory, which again, you can find at busyworksbeats.com/musictheory.
Dude your plugged your site about 6 times in 6 minutes, I learned what you're talking about in school when I was 14/15. Not trying to brag but you're just going overkill on the ads
matthew • Busy works beatsssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
Busy Works Beats appears 14 times in the video. He says it 7, it appears twice on the books on the side, both logos on the bottom, the link on the bottom, the channel name and the description
yup the most famous and most used chord progression in music... two examples i can think of off hand are "dammit" by blink-182 and "just what i needed" by the cars
Don't be fooled when he talks about, "why it's called the 7th, 6th, 5th, and we don't have enough time in this video to break it down for you" It can't get anymore simpler, all you do is count the keys starting from your root note, in this case the root note is C
Just learning about music and watching alot of videos. I'm starting to see and actually understand why some chords sound great together and some don't. The first two chords sound really familiar as the pachelbel - canon in D chords
I have a few issues about this video: 1. You didn't invert the chords so they actually made melodic sense- playing them all in root position creates a disjointed feel, and inverting some of them so that they're closer to each other. 2. The song is Canon in D but it only has those first 3 chords- it doesn't use the exact same progression and it also goes on for 8 bars instead of 4.
4:20 to actually hear the progression. You are welcome
Olex Prost dank
Olex Prost Dank u
Or, if you dont want to skip ahead you can just go to busyworksbeats.com/fourchords/busyworksbeats/progression/busyworksbeats
that made me high
Olex Prost thank you so much
So where am I supposed to go for music theory lessons? I think you forgot to mention it. /s
anywhere on the internet. just google it
I'm pretty sure he was joking Eli my dude
/s means sarcasm.
you can learn the answer to that question if you just go to busyworksbeats.com/musictheory
Jack Ford [/s] = Sarcasm
Game u should put ur products in the top right with that little "i" feature it would def boost visits/sales
Wil Badillo yea IKR
Taran Singh o
Sounds like Canon in D
That's because this progression is used and edited in that song...
Similar, the last chord is different though.
And there are more chords in Canon in D too, but yeah, the start of this one is very similar
Canon is 1-5-m6-3
exept its canon in CMaj
I hate predictable chord progressions, hope I'm not the only one.
Rex Deeps definitely not the only one, I'm in the same boat.
Rex Deeps the songs today don't even use chords. Well at least it doesn't sound like it. It doesn't exist anymore.
Jesus train your ears lol
Jesus. Think before you write :)
Rex Deeps honeslty, you probably don't.
I think the most famous one in minor is i - VI - III - VII
Yes, it's a big cliché.
Definitely. It's uplifting.
Is that pretty much the same as a I-V-vi-IV but starting on the vi?
Yes NoOne, it's exactly the same as that enharmonically speaking
Thanks! Guess that means I didn't spend four years in college as a Music major for nothing!
lol, could tell what it was just from the thumbnail
~ Salute and respect for everything Busyworks Beats ~
Michael Jackson ft. Akon - Hold My Hand

Hello welcome to BusyWorksBeatSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
It sounds a bit like Fro knows photo....
some more information, why this progression is so popular and special would have been nice, anyways great video
I think it just sounds nice to the ear and easy to lay out, before watching this I know Ive used to this chord progression multiple times
I know, but there is an actual reason (at least what I am taught) in music theory why it sounds so great
music is key i personally know that already, i just thought it would be nice for others to know.
music is key yeah unfortunately most of these videos on "ultimate" chord progressions never cover this theory part which would really help beginners to understand progressions and build their own ones
I've literally never heard this progression before ever
I wish there was a place to learn about music theory. He never said in the video
You know you can buy theory books in music stores right?
There are videos too
Did you find it i kinda need one rn💔😭
@@aveladinga2933 there’s tons of free sources to learn music theory from. RUclips, Hook Theory Wikipedia.
You can combine all those chords in whatever order you like and it sounds nice
Let it be,
Let it C,
Let it D,
Let it E,
and so on
There is a busy works beats / for every thing
Busy works beats / how to make dank memes
Let It Be by The Beatles is composed of exactly that chord progression in C major
This chord progression is literally everywhere and I love it
Give it to the right songwriters and it can come out a masterpiece
Some nice parallel fifths you've got there.
Iv heard busy works beats more times in this video than iv ever heard this progression in my life
I dont know anything about music. I found this progression just by sound. just playing on the keyboard. I found some other progressions that sound good too!
Rich Harris lol congrats fam
Rich Harris I've done that before
"Wel it goes like this the fourth the fifth, the minor fall and the major lift"
don't matter - akon
You betcha it is. Its used over and over again. When im writing I try to stay clear of it but sometimes its necessary for moving powerful melodies.
As we go on we remember all the good times we had together
protip : detach the NoteBook window so it always stays in the foreground. (arrow > detach)
protip:When cutting the notes and deleting them use the slicer with the right button on the mouse
Oh, but then we wouldn't be able to see all the beautiful products, which you can find at busyworksbeats.com. Btw, we go over far more of this in our course on music theory, which again, you can find at busyworksbeats.com/musictheory.
Basically the progression from that Four Chords Song thing from like six years ago, except with a lot of self-promotion.
The "graduation song" you were thinking of was Pachelbel's Canon
Dude your plugged your site about 6 times in 6 minutes, I learned what you're talking about in school when I was 14/15.
Not trying to brag but you're just going overkill on the ads
I don't know how to read music, but I knew what you were going to do before you did it! It's that popular lol
the graduation song he's talking about is called Pomp and Circumstance
I hate when you say "busy works beatssss"
matthew • Hello, and welcome to buussy worksss beatsssssss
matthew • Busy works beatsssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
Haterssssssss gonna hate
started singing let it be when you let those chords hit
Me: hey that sounds like that graduation song
This fuckin guy: isn't there a graduation song that sounds like that
Me: goddamn you
i wish this guy had a website so we could learn more
game has so much knowledge. I want more knowledge I love it when someone teaches me something new thanks game
a great example of how often this chord progression is used is axis of awesome 4 chords
Aye you should for sure make a video on chord inversions and cadences.
I'll go to busy works beats. Not because you told me to 50 times, but because I'm kinda interested in music theory
intro looks very.... familiar, like if it had a dg in it instead
ok so he shares the same intro as draegast i just cant get passed that.
Busy Works Beats appears 14 times in the video. He says it 7, it appears twice on the books on the side, both logos on the bottom, the link on the bottom, the channel name and the description
Aside from cannon in D, Forever Young by Jay Z uses the same progression too!
funny way to spell Alphaville.
Ørry lol
BeatJoven akon - don't matter
It's not the same as Pachelbel's Canon tho.
Any songs wuth Am G C D?
Axis of awesome has a song where they use these chords and sing lots of famous songs that uses the chord progression
jay z-forever young but slowed down a little
That would be alphaville forever young. Not Jay-Z.
Ashin Kusher
But Alphaville is the original. Jay-Z sampled it
Kim jong barack glad I wasn't the only one to hear it
lmao Kim Jong Baracks Obama
@@TheHuskyK9 Don't you mean Kanye West?
I already knew it'd be Pachbel's Canon
Good ol' I V vi IV. C G Am F is every ukulele middle schoolers' favorite chords.
You have the same sort of Intro as Draegast
It's mind blowing if you listen to it starting at the 3rd chord. 4:39
Just like the chord progression in the chorus of Africa by Toto
If you want to hear what songs use this there's a video called 4 chords by the axis of awesome that puts a load of them together
"You can even experiment with minor scales." Naw, man. Dorian for life.
The minor fall and the major lift lol
that's let it be
we call it 1456. yes, some songs use different variation
i actually guessed that would be the most famous
Wow, I play that progression, so much without even thinking about how used it is😂
somebody once tell me the world is gonna roll me
yup the most famous and most used chord progression in music... two examples i can think of off hand are "dammit" by blink-182 and "just what i needed" by the cars
My favourite one that I used to play again and again.
"let it beeee"
Good ole sequencing of pachabel!
Don't be fooled when he talks about, "why it's called the 7th, 6th, 5th, and we don't have enough time in this video to break it down for you"
It can't get anymore simpler, all you do is count the keys starting from your root note, in this case the root note is C
I would say 1 4 5 was the most famous/used cord progression.
Aidan Blah that's what I was thinking too
Aidan Blah Yeah. I think so too.
You are thinking of Cannon in D major...same progression just in D and not C :)
its also a fairly famous song for weddings
Four chords by axis of awesome
♫ zankoku na tenshi no you ni
shounen yo shinwa ni nare ♫
Oh! I thought it would've been the 1-6-4-5 progression.
thanks for the knowledge yo!
your intro sequence is the exact same as dreagast
Any one else thinking Axis of Awesome? 🙄
Seasons of Love synced up perfectly, I'm surprised
Chords for 'One Call Away'
Just learning about music and watching alot of videos. I'm starting to see and actually understand why some chords sound great together and some don't. The first two chords sound really familiar as the pachelbel - canon in D chords
your intro looks eerily familiar to draegast's intro
I have a few issues about this video:
Ok... very open to beginners. To people who actually know music theory it gets old fast.
The arpeggio progression i swear i heard in an EDM song before
The intro reminded me of Draegast's Intro
Axis of Awesome - 4-Chord-Song
You had to mention Pomp and Circumstance 😂
let it be was my first thought
Blink-182:
Dammit
I Miss You
First Date
Adam's Song
All The Small Things
She's Out Of Her Mind
Bored To Death
Anthem Part 2
Thanks for posting this. Now I know which Chord Progression to avoid 👍 :P
That's very easy to play the famous chords.
I wouldn't say this is the most "popular". it surely is common, but I think C major, A Minor, D minor, and G major are the most common.
Its the chord progression of
Girls like you_maroon 5
drinking game, take a shot every time he says busyworksbeats .com
Everything i hear this chord progression i have to think of „so lonely“ by „the police“
4 chords by axis of awesome
Damn i really wish I knew what website this guy worked for, I just cant find it anywhere
That is literally Draegast's intro
I was thinking it's Am, FMaj, CMaj, GMaj.
Is it just me or does his opening logo looks like Draegast's logo?
I got that chord progression from stereo madness’ melody
Song by John Lennon "Let It Be"
