But to answer your question yes it takes a very long time to grow your hair out from a pixie length… especially if they cut it in short layers in the back … you might do better with a Bob cut. 💜

Looking at women with grey hair vs colored I find that often grey hair let's the complexion shine and makes it look as you say more youthful while colored hair not seldom dampens the complexion and clashes against it.

Congratulations on your transition!!! It looks amazing. I’m 18months in and I think I have 1 more trim left until my full transition 🥳🥳 I totally agree with the make up! I used to wear really bronze makeup and now I’m more cool, pinks work better and I would never have worn pink make up before! I also feel I look younger grey, when I dyed my hair really dark I looked harsh, my subtle tones are much more complimentary x

@@claudiaglows I had the last of the blonde snipped off a month ago in this super short pixie.
My hair grows so painfully slow this was a year long process! I finally just said last mo. “cut it all off!” And this was the result 🤣. So a few videos are posted with it this short … It took me a few weeks to reflect on my feelings & finally create an update to this crazy saga of my going grey journey💜

Hello! I discovered your channel through Tamara. Love it! I did the transition to non pigmented natural hair over covid (did a brief color and hated it) but with a pixie went right back to natural. I agree that our natural highlights and being natural are more youthful and complement our skintones!

Love all your comments and positive attitude towards the going gray journey. Like you, I decided to go the pixie route during the pandemic and it was a fairly easy transition. I am also noticing that the cooler wardrobe colors look better with gray hair so have had to make some adjustments - but the journey so far has been fun and definitely worth it. I know this is an older video, but I just want to say that I stopped fighting the white halo of roots several years ago, and I’ve never looked back! I also have had more compliments on my hair since going gray than I ever did when I colored it. I feel like I’m more authentically ME now, and I love it. Like you, my make up and color preferences definitely changed. I used to wear a lot of warm autumn colors. I now lean toward cool - many more blues and some beautiful purples! It’s been fun exploring the new colors.

I have alopecia Every time I wear my gray wigs, I receive so many compliments about looking youthful.. It really did surprise me as one might question if gray looks aging. It helps that young people are sporting gray making it a popular choice.

Question please on your Slap Sleep Hat. Do you wear this to bed since you have gone silver and your hair is short now? What are the benefits of it? Thanks
Hi Mary, Great question. I started wearing the slap hats when I had long, bleach damaged hair. I pre-treated my hair with oils and slept in the oils overnight prior to washing the following day. I subsequently found that I sleep better with a cap (similar to a weighted blanket I think) I’ve also continued pretreating my grays with oils and pre-treat conditioners. I find it to be a nice way to keep my grey hair strong & healthy. Pre-treats also help my grays from becoming too purple and ashy when I use purple shampoo to diminish yellow discoloration from sun & heat styling. Hope that helps & let me know if you have any other questions 💜
@@beyond50skin thanks for the response. I’ve cut mine off so many times in the past 7 years after letting it go silver. If it gets too discolored I can’t take it and will go to a buzz cut until I am willing to give it another shot. Hopefully I have learned from my errors what not to do.
